Everyone slept on Ryan, specially the expose Ref, he was for Haney the whole fight.
0:48 this body shot after the knock down, listen to that sound. Easily could have knocked someone down or out. Haney must have felt it hard. You can see how Haney is rushing his left arm to the body for protection after that. The damage from that body shot alone must have been terrifying. imagine the combined damage Haney took this night.

Devin is slipping hooks and Garcia is wide open but devins not counter pounching after he slips, they are the shots that ko people. Tank is good at doing this and it worked against Garcia.
What worked was getting Garcia to become anorexic for his fight,not to say Tank couldn’t beat a healthy Ryan but that diminished Tanks victory especially after seeing a beefy Garcia
He said that he wanted a rematch immediately after the fight heck he barely threw a punch and that was a one-sided fight
He just couldn't eat Ryan's punches

Man… give me the job of the referee. I can do it better. Even without experience and I can do it for free. Still I would do a better job. He needs to get fired. I mean. Expect reff doesn’t mean. He’s good all the time. He was really betting on Haney. And he’s corrupted

Did that ref, even once warn Haney for holding? So bad.
Just watched with the sound off. Couple of thoughts: First, Ryan is turning his back. That's taking the shoulder roll too far. In days gone by, that got penalized. Second, Ryan is not using his jab to set up punches. No question Haney is in his face for the count in that round if Ryan kept him at distance with the jab and came behind it with power. Third, Ryan advertises when it's safe to punch by going into his shell. Fourth, Ryan has the foot speed to out-position an opponent but rarely uses it. Fifth, Haney got out of the round because Ryan was not a disciplined hunter. Haney was beaten and holding on for dear life, but we've seen that many times before. The ref didn't do a good job but IMO, didn't save Haney, Ryan did. Conclusions: Ryan should watch tape on Bud Crawford, who is never out of position and understands and applies boxing fundaments, which is something Ryan knows but is undisciplined in using. Second, Ryan is not yet a superstar. Third, Haney has been overhyped (I've thought so for a long time, but this fight proved it).
