also you don't see to realise when you say 'COUNTRY' in Italy it doesnt mean the Nation States that the north invented which have caused too many world wars: Italy is lots of countries united very recently (by our standards of time and history). So it is perfectly legitimate for Palermitani to feel different to the Catanesi etc..... Maybe you dont know that even a Roman needs subtitles for Neapolitan? WE dont just have dialects we have lots of different languages albeit descended from our original Latin lingua Franca....

Sure, there are countries that are not that great. Primarily those that are not safe or way too populated and polluted. Somalia , Bangladesh, Honduras come to mind right away. Also, some middle eastern countries such as Yemen would fall into this. Southern Italy and Sicily are great places with great food , history and people.
Those are some random countriee. Neither Somalia nor Honduras are overpopulated or poluted. Just poor and politically unstable in the case of Somalia. Yemen was also a beautiful country before the Saudis and the Emirates destroyed it.

I'm Italian I really like USA especially new England and Colorado, great nature beautiful colours landscape, btw government is very bad in the USA, because people in the us have only two choices for president or democrat or Republicans all is so standardized and especially is all spectacularzed for selling merchandise from politics or sports events, also a things I don't like is the lack of public transport like trains high speed trains and good bus lines, also you can only move in car and not choose to travel on a more sustainable options, another point is school system I don't know why in 2024 in USA they don't teach metric system all the world is using it, and also I think schools are not so good in education because they are very standard not created around the students, also woke and all youngsters behave the same for stupid trends, but on the positive side us has great nature and landscape and some people are friendly, but the government is really crap.@@Thomas-bf7to

My dear friend maybe I was referring to more recent history, so we did not understand each other. Apart from this, no one denies the great influence of Islamic culture in Sicily, especially in Palermo (if you haven't still visited it, go to the remarkable ancient palace of la Zisa (al Aziza ). Sicily has known many foreign people during the centuries but now the time has swept away all these ancient civilizations and we must live peacefully in modern times. P.s Mazara del Vallo is still a good exemple of peaceful consistente between people..🫶
