Is there another step you have to do after all the bondo and paint is off the aluminum like a sealer or something or is it good as is in the salt water.?
We are going to polish it up a bit but it is no a required step. Once aluminum is exposed it forms an oxide layer which prevents further corrosion. As long as it is exposed to oxygen it will not corrode further.
The main reason we chose Timezero is that it integrates nicely with all of our Furuno nav equipment. We can overlay radar as well as have sounder display right on our main monitors. Timezero also outputs NMEA2000 data for course which an autopilot can be se up to follow so course changes can be done automatically (with monitoring of course). We have a few other optional addons such as weather routing and such which has worked really well so far. Lastly, I found Timezero to be pretty seamless when zooming in and out and moving around charts. All in all its a pretty slick solution for us.
Thank you very much for getting back with that information. I'm looking to upgrade my current setup, so this is very helpful. We are moving aboard our 48 Tolly (North Saanich) this May for some extended cruising Hope I we get an opportunity to to say hi to you folks! Cheers@@OnboardTangaroa
You are very welcome. A 48' Tolly will be great to live on. We have good friends who have a Tolly here in Brentwood and are very happy with it. They have a great following and fun meetups from what I understand. If you are ever in the Brentwood Bay area stop by and say hello!

Just curious why you chose times zero over Navionics as your digital chart?
