Man. Harstem is an S-grade troll but he actually felt bad about beating that second guy with the troll build cos he played a solid game. Cap is a chill guy. That outmaneuvering of the terran deathball with tactical retreats, counter-attacks and base trades was beautiful stuff though gotta say. It really looked like the terran was gonna win for awhile.
I am amazed by the level of creep denial. It almost felt like the zerg player didn't even build queens. And you probably should have told the second opponent, not to be too hard on himself. After all you are an expert of the PvP match up.
Here's mine! Dynamic Duo/Air and Land challenge: 1)You must have your army units split into exactly two groups. Flyers in one group and ground dwellers in the other. 2)Their vision should be kept from overlapping. 3) Their respective supplies should be kept as close to equal as possible (i.e. if one army takes an engagement and drops in supply the other must trade out to balance or refuse fights until the other is brought back up to speed). 4) All other elements of gameplay not explicitly listed remain at your discretion. Cheers! Love your stuff
That empathy you were showing for your opponent at the end of your last game was really nice to see. Thank you for caring about your opponent. very good, human thing to do for that poor protoss player having a rough time : )
I love your videos. You always have very thorough commentary during each playthrough. I'm thinking, words have such a powerful effect on the speaker and the listener: perhaps do a video where you comment things incorrectly such as "he's attacking with roaches" when a marine tank push comes in, or "now I'll build a Stargate" as you warp in a robo. The idea being to try to not to confuse yourself as you confuse your listeners
I was 100% certain that you would have to tab out any second after 27:00. The way you actually came out on top after those runbys amazed me. Keep making such awesome content :D
Idea 1: The birds and animals seem innocent enough, but in reality are plotting to take over the universe, notice how they have a presence on every map? They're just scouting what you're up to while they mass their army, they're the 4th race of Starcraft 2! Before you harass or attack your enemy's base, exterminate all the birds and animals around the map. Do not underestimate the birds! You must move out with a sizeable squad (10-20 supply) to counter any resistance when dealing with these pests. Idea 2: Play Terran or Zerg, pretending you're playing Protoss (You can still do Terran or Zerg build orders, just the commentary has to be Protoss.) Idea 3: PvT: 2nd Nexus in opponent's main base -> attempt to mine in the opponent's mineral line if possible/proxy buildings in their base (no big deal if impossible) -> recall into their base. PvP: 2nd Nexus in opponent's main base -> attempt to mine in the opponent's mineral line if possible/proxy buildings in their base (no big deal if impossible) -> recall into their base. PvZ: Who said the Protoss can't swarm? Rival your opponent's zergling count with chargelots. You may supplement other units, but at least half of your army must be zealots.
Of course the Protoss thought he was playing a bad game, he forgot to research warp gate! I'm sure if he did research it his double prism drop would've been more effective. Kappa
Harstem i love the little giggels at your own jokes. Also i have a dumb suggestion for you next challenge. Build you production in a corner that is not your main or on an island. For the opening it is allowed to build the required defensive needs/walls if you wish. Also Everyone try to get zeusintheair here he needs to see the end for his confidence :)
Simple Suggestions: The Boys Just do a build that involves pulling the boys (all the probes) like terran style when they pull all the boys. or Protoss Armada: Just pure airtoss with at least 5 of each toss air unit.
Big fan of this series as well as your enthusiasm for trying things out. I'm still pretty new to the game, silver/gold, but once I know the game better I'm looking forward to suggesting things.
I wouldn't mind if Wrong Race, Right Build become somewhat of a series. Can see myself tuning into a Harstem video, seeing Protoss vs Terran on the screen and hearing, "Hello, everyone. Today we'll be playing some dirty build orders vs our Zerg opponent."
What an excellent challenge that was satisfying and funny to watch! My suggestion for next challenge, Wings of Liberty builds only!! No new units, ONLY WoL units and builds. 4gate pvp, cannon expand immortal sentry push vs zerg, etc etc. Your only allowed old units!
@@blaurvedrur Yea lol, he probably could just play blink stalkers in every matchup and just win. Might have to make a rule that he cant go blink every game lol

challenge idea: you need 8 bases before you can attack your opponent. no run bys, 1 cannon per base. once you have 8 probes mining minerals and/or gas on your last nexus you can attack. if thats too challenging give yourself an extra cannon per base. if thats not enough move the nexus count to 7 or maybe 6 you can scout with observers as much as you want
Missed opportunity at the very end when he was complimenting the guy: "I thought you played very well." Then I was waiting and it never came: "For a protoss!"
You should play where every time you build a building, the probe that built it has to die. Probes can only build one building then they have to die! Probably will be too difficult to continually kill them off, so "setting them aside" in some random place on the map to patrol/be idle should be ok.
I have 2 suggestions for some future games, not sure how well it could work because I haven't followed the changes to build times since WoL.... BUT! ONLY build units that perfectly counter your opponents strategy, hes going mass stalker, u go mass immortal... etc. If you dont see it, you dont build it. since you'll have extra money at times of silence i feel this may lead to some sketchy expands that may spell defeat or push you leaps and bounds ahead.

I have a similar challenge: play as well as you like, but any time you find out their composition, the things you make must be countered by them, obviously you can make stuff that can actually attack them. It can be a soft counter, just as long as you are countered

New idea: The Flocencio special
You start the game with some wild shenanigans in your opponents base and distract him during the early game,
Then you start pumping out voidrays
You can't research warpgate and you can't get upgrades.
Your natural must be in the corner of the map. if it gets too hard, you can have normal natural and put your third in the corner instead.
You can build what ever you like but emphasis on voidrays.
A Florencio (aka. Sewer Mermaid, Old Greg) build strategy and execution would be awesome to see someone try to copy, especially with the fun "tactical expansions" in the corners of the map and the extremely early game disruption/distractions such as probe stacking.
