Big Buddy Heater (unwelcome?) Surprise

Replaced a well used Big Buddy heater with a new 2022 model and found an unwelcome surprise. Otherwise this is a great heater that I have reliably used for almost a decade.
Official Statement from Mr. Heater
"Due to recent governmental changes to import tariffs, Mr. Heater has removed the fan on some models of the Mr. Heater Big Buddy® (MH18B). We apologize for the inconvenience and confusion this has caused some customers.
