To be honest, I’m not even sure why I made this but I started and couldn’t stop.. where did I get the motivation from srsly!!! Lets keep the same energy for my OC projects (stares in 7 Abandoned Projects and counting in the past 3 months)

Hi! I don’t know if anyone will see this, but I’m a new ish animator and I was wondering how you make the character rotate so smoothly at certain parts- I use flip a clip, is there any way to do it there? Or would I have to use something else. If so, how?

Hi ! There are two reasons why the rotation is smooth here:
1 - I used a high FPS (Frames per second) ! It’s 24fps here.
2 - Interpolation ! I used Clip Studio Paint, where using the animation timeline I can enable keyframes, position the frames (i.e. here, to make holly rotate I placed one key frame at the start of the sequence, another at the end, and rotated her in a different position at the start+end. The movement is automatically filled between the positions and most importantly due to the high fps it’s very smooth !
On flipaclip, I imagine to do this you would get your character (layers merged so you can move it all together), copy+paste into next frame, and move it manually slightly, doing it again and again until the desired movement is achieved. Make sure that the FPS is high for a smooth effect, but this means you would need MANY frames for just one second of animation, so it would be a very tedious process.
I think there are editing programs you can look into like Capcut which might do it? The programe I used, Clip Studio Paint, is expensive
Sorry if this doesn’t make sense. So yeah it’s possible (?) to do in flipaclip, it just may look less smooth/will take longer, as mine is automatically rotated using key frames, which indicates the asset moving from one position to another. It’s worthwhile to look at free editing apps or search up flipaclip tweening tutorials
