it's sad too because they're not actually focusing on what's actually happening in the stretch. their minds aren't on getting better it's just get through it and go through the motion.
Justice Williams lol that's how kids are and always have been we don't realize the importance of this when our knees and joints are functioning with no issue but now that I'm 21 I see that all of this is necessary
for real, i was like this too until i torn my acl on a pick up game ever since then i started warming up my legs before playing ball or even just working out...
I actually really needed a proper warm up because it almost feels like my body is breaking and don't have any knowledge on prep and recovery so thank you so much for this video!!

Thanks for the vid I needed something like this. I always get pain in my lower back/ankles/shins/calves, I will try this warm-up next time I play ball.
@Mickey Merzon hey 3 years is a long time, I did do this for a while and it's pretty good but I haven't played ball in ages and forgot about this warmup

I'm 24 at 5'11, vert is 36 inches since I was 18 and my knees are killing me man. I play ball for 2 hours max and my knees get swollen, I've got to rest for 2 days afterwards minimum. And fuck I'm not even old, nor heavy. Younger dudes, take stretching and proper warmup more seriously than the guys in the vid, it's really frustrating at this point.
damn man, I'm 38 and my knees feel fine. I never had a 36 in vert though, maybe thats why? I try not to jump much these days and adopted a ground game, I expect to play well past my 50s 😄
I always find it interesing how as a kid you find this stuff boring and not important, and all the other small details, I wish I knew the importance of it as a kid and understood more why we are doing it.
Hello Sir, I would like to know where ur coaching class is situated. I have started playing basketball recently. I need to be perfect in basketball as I have to play for the college team next year. Sir i would request you to respond toy comment as soon as possible. Waiting for your response at the earliest. Thank you
Just got this recommended to me, and I’m disappointed at these kids for taking these drills so lightly. I would never take the warm up as a joke because when you hurt something later, you know damn well why, and there ain’t gonna be no excuse to give
PJF basketball training is excellent, but this is a terrible example. The group is too big to get them to put in an honest effort. The athletes are making a lazy effort. This is what you need, ua-cam.com/video/M2eGvElkBQU/v-deo.html, and get the kids to do it at 100%. It'll build explosiveness.
I love half of it, and the second part will be considered worm up only by people who are clueless. I understand it all about being flashy, therefore half of it has nothing to do with actual worm up and taken out of workouts.
Could be due to muscles around your hips being weak, and as a result, your hips have too much stress/load being placed on them, which is why you feel pain in them.
Possibly weak hips or tight hips So maybe strengthen them and warm up hips/hip flexor good before working out And stretching them after (just google stretches)
yall look goofy criticizing kids who are learning shit on camera. you record your first set of these exercises and put em out public. i guarantee shit won't look right. guarantee you some of these kids are watching the vid at home and getting better.
It seems like lots of guys are just "oh I'm tall, let's play basketball" so much lack of athleticism Also: wtf are they clapping for? Poorly executed warm ups with no effort? Such a joke.
All about the dollar and the masses. It's not always about the program its about the implementation! Looks like a good stretch program but horrible coaching.
@@123ameir they gonna want it badly when they find out this guy got a 47 inch vert and knows a ton on sports performance some of the people he trains are really close to a 50 inch vert . But to be fair some seem forced to be there though 😂 Plus he trains james harden and buddy heild.
Dudes trying so hard to look cool or be done first. It's not a fashion show or a race. Stuff is important before playing or working out. Great vid

Y'all are truly a blessing.🙏
why are these kids look lazy in every drills? they're so fortunate because pro trainers teaches them.
It's the "cool" way to look. So annoying.
Because they arent fast and some of them are trying to get used to doing it
Cos it is a warmup....
@@abielghir6453 agreed
Some people are quick to hate. Coaches teach player to relax during warmups because if you tense your muscles you are more likely to strain a muscle

Why all these kids look like they're at least 6'7" ?

Scottie barnes in the back #62!
Just got this recommended to me, and I’m disappointed at these kids for taking these drills so lightly. I would never take the warm up as a joke because when you hurt something later, you know damn well why, and there ain’t gonna be no excuse to give
First off, its their first time doing these warm ups the landing ones, so of course they are going to look light doin it, they never done it before
Can I do this at night before a workout I’m the next morning like a yoga routine to stretch out for more flexibility ?
Yes.
Great video
I did this warm up twice and then I was too tired to play basketball after.
Get in shape or do only half of these warm up exercise. Also having a longer rest between the exercises will help
If you tired after that you need to work on conditioning you shouldn't even be breathing hard after that.
U gotta relax dont tense up ur muslce when warm up unwill look lazy but its good
😆😆😆
From warm up to warm down ....
Epic demo'
at 6:10, it looks like his knee goes over his toes?
Half of these guys ain't even doing them properly
The ones who aren't stretching OR doing anything near these workouts are for sure gonna pay for it down the road?
Think i saw scottie barnes in this video
can anyone tell me how these exercises are called? By like the actual name? Needing it for school, please y’all

Can you elaborate what you mean? I’m looking to return to start playing again after an acl tear and reconstruction and was looking to implement this.
can anyone explain to me on how to fix this nagging annoying tight/sore/slightly painful hips...... any suggestion/advice please thanks
SSJ7 do bleacher lunges, get a good deep stretch

these fools need to be running laps
Is this important
Rocky Solomon very, you want to maximize your motion and how long you can play basketball
I see why big men get injured they did none of the warmups right I swear if they effort they probably wouldn’t be so injury prone
looks like your avarage warm-up here, then again - I do athletic and not basketball lolz
Yea my high school team do these stretches minus the landing training
They look like walking trees
