Wow love this, and for me some weepy nostalgic moments in Split and Dubrovnic. My last trip there in 1972 with mum, dad & husband, all three now passed away. Dad did all the driving from UK and we camped making a few overnight stops. Previous to that trip we went in 1966 and 1969. Not so touristy then!

And specifically in Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik and Plitvice Lakes. Matter of fact, we were just in Split one weekend this past November 2022, and it was packed in the old town Split.

Really nice vid man. I'm currently in Croatia and exploring pretty much the entire country from April to October before we settle down on the Dalmatian Coast. So far I'm so impressed! This place is stunning. The people are welcoming and cool. The food is next level yum. And coming from New Zealand which has been smashed by crippling 'laws' since you-know-what in 2020 - this place is so much more vibrant, alive and free. Love it.

We went to Croatia in April 2019 and it was not crowded and weather was great. The sea was not the warmest then but still o.k Dubrovnik was so quiet but a few days before we left the cruise ships came in, and very quickly became more crowded. The shop,restaurants told us the Mayor was going to cut back on the amount of cruise ships but this was disputed as tourism was essential for the economy. We were glad to be there when we were and loved it.
Thank you Karl, 40 years ago I had my first holiday in what was Yugoslavia. Beautiful scenery and beautiful weather and always thought I would return, sadly didn’t happen, but now I have your memories to make me smile 😊

I have a house on a island , 2 min walk from sand beaches where thers not many ppl , with crystal clear water you can see a coin 5m deep. Heaven on earth.😍 Last summer we had so many tourists ,all cost was overcrowded. Next time if you come again,go explore islands on the north cost.
no, that won't happen because there would simply be too many people. Even with such high prices, there are a lot of people and UNESCO is threatening many Croatian destinations that they will lose their protection if the number of tourists is not reduced, so it is being tried with high prices and I am afraid that in in the future it will only be more expensive because there are more and more tourists

I was also in Split and Dubrovnik in 2021, as well as Brač (currently, my favorite Croatian island, though that's always subject to change; they're all so magical). Also nice to see bottles of Ožujsko and Karlovačko again - as far as pivo goes, my absolute favorites! Hope you got a chance to visit Vis and the Blue Cave in 2017; I've been there twice and it's truly amazing. Heading to the Lauterbrunnen Valley next month, and I'll make the most of your hiking recommendations. Cheers!
Wow. After 2 years of the world having its front door closed.. its well and truly open again. And im living for it. Here in New Zealand we have been extremely lucky but our boarders have been shut and we've been alone in our neck of the woods. Now we're in the midst of our fastest climbing outbreaks.. its the world's turn to be open and happy. However boarders are open. I've missed your videos and so glad you're able to make them again

The walk around the walls in Dubrovnik used to be free. We stayed up above the old town with great views. Hope to go backone day.
