Bashing on Sweden seems to be a knee jerk reaction for many. I think people compaining about the generic mainstream songs from Sweden should remember that mainstream would't be mainstream if people didn't like it.
Also Sweden produced a lot of the others songs in the contest as well. Many of the winner, Arcade comes to mind. The most tiresome is the so called creative songs or passionate songs, that we know are heavily produced and have a very typical Eurovision flavour (so I hardly think they are so unique). Especially if they sing on their native language, then it is just cultural rich and bla bla bla.
I completely agree! I spent so much of last contest defending Tattoo to people saying “but it’s so generic”, which is just LAZY in my opinion. It might not have been the most unique entry ever but it was perfectly crafted, and I wouldn’t want every country to send something crazy. Just enjoy songs for what they are!
@@robpop9767 In one way I can agree with some portion of the critism. But not that we sent to polished numbers but we could show more diversity. I found it a little irritating with the different songs we had in the new version of andra chansen that SVT spoiled completely. And we sent two rather generic songs instead of Fröken Snusk and Scarlets song.
I think Melodifestivalen needs to be more diverse for sure! If they end up sending a mainstream song from it then fair, but it’s a shame the selection process doesn’t take more chances. 100% agree with you about the system fucking over Froken & Scarlet which would’ve been 10x more exciting than some of the bores that made the final.

The fandom is very bitter and i'm fed up with it. Of corse there are People that gives love, construktive critic and just say it is not for them. That i can take, i don't like every song but never go and basching them. I just scroll on. Treat all of the artists in this competition with love and respect. Think of all hard work they do for this. Yes i'm from Sweden and I love this entry. Winning would be awsome, but it is not the end if we don't. I will still be groooving to this bop so don't judge me. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
When you are on the top of the mountain people want nothing more than to drag you down. It is the nature of things. Wonder if they think all the other songs we produced abroad are generic. And the winners like Arcade.
the twins live most of the time in sweden, work with swedish songwriters and producers, and they say that they feel more swedish than norwegian. i don’t think it is weird that they are representing sweden.
I think the only reason it feels slightly weird is cos they’re representing Sweden on home turf but for the most part, I was just joking. They had the best song so who cares!

Actually Sweden doesn't send the same entries -- Loreen was in a totally different genre. So I hope the Sweden bashing will stop... I think that people always bash stuff when they feel threatened... after all... Sweden is the country of songwriters for all your fave pop stars.

As a fan of them who’s been listening to them since 2016 I expected more, idk why their lyrics had been decreasing a lot, like the chorus it’s so repetitive always and they seem they are heading to a electro style😢

PERSONALLY… I don’t like a lot of their non Melodifestivalen music and I think this type of sound really suits them!
