Jami i am 57 and still haven't learned how to take care of me first. Even thru my breast cancer battle, I was so sick but told the Dr I couldn't go in the hospital. I had to find babysitters for my twin nephews that I was raising. I went back the next day and said ok I'm ready. Good thing cause I was so sick from bacterial infections in my lungs, Im lucky I'm here. Its all good now. 6yrs cancer free💕
When you move the kittens to the J&L, please take their little home. You need to make sure it by the barn out of the wind. Good luck with making the change.
Omg, the anger...I didn't even think of that. Now I'm re evaluating what I've been going through for the past couple of years. I was blaming my anger on my mom's death and 2 of my cat's passing. Menopause anger, crying, and hot flashes while sleeping...just my luck. Wish the hor flashes would come while awake..usually cold then. Lol. Thanks for this comment!💛💛
My first job at the ripe age of 13 was busing tables at pizza restaurant . I got paid $1.20 an hour. I thought I was rich. I bug the owner to let me make the pizza. I drove him nuts until he let me. My first microwave cost $199. We had to save a long time for it. Our first console RCA TV cost us $599. It was a beautiful oak cabinet. Sears called that catalog a Wish Book for a reason. You wish you could affordable most things in that book 😂. Thanks for going through the book tonight. Be safe ❤😊❤
And it took all night and a million tiny parts and pieces to assemble the Barbie Dreamhouse! Sprang that one on my husband on Christmas eve for our daughter's main gift for Christmas morning. He was up ALL NIGHT going cross-eyed trying to put that thing together!! Poor guy! ❤️
Jami, you’re right; it’s not fair we women have to go through menopause and men don’t. Just remember that we women are the glue that holds our men together and we have the excuse of menopause when things go crazy and men don’t. I love you for being so honest and not afraid to say what you want. Keep on doing your best.
Jammie, My husband still has every piece of clothing I have ever bought him in the last 26 yrs. My menopause I had 1 hot flash and 1 day when that the sound of anyone voice made me angry! Brain fog well that's just great 🙄it doesn't go away, at least it hasn't for me. weight gain is also just great. My husband eats junk and nothing happens! Since I have PCOS and ladies if you have that it gets worse after menopause, but my hair was falling out from hormones androgen alopecia . I'm doctoring for this and it's better than it was but every once in a while it starts looking good then within a few days it falls!!!!🤦♀Every woman menopause experience is different. My best friend is the queen of hot flashes.🥵
Jami, I am a month short of 72yo. Back in the day, I hit the menopause button & my daughter went through puberty the same summer. It was like a Planet of the Apes movie marathon & Timmy was in the well EVERY day. After my first bout with cancer & chemotherapy, my hair started growing back beautifully. Recently finished a new round of chemotherapy for a run at another cancer. Lost my hair again. Now it looks like I rubbed my head with Elmer's glue then cleaned out the lint trap with my head. I just look in the mirror & laugh...what else ya gonna do? Love you and all your craziness!❤
Menopause is very depressing! I am now post menopausal.. started when I was 36! I have gained 50 pounds since then and can’t lose a lick! Every doctor wants me on a diet but I truly do not eat much because of stomach and intestinal issues but I gain and gain! But you are so right when saying you just push through because you have to! And the saying that behind every great man is a better woman is so very true!
My mother used to work at Sears in the gift wrapping dept at Christmas time so I learned to wrap from her. And my first credit card was a Sears card. This was in 1974-1975. Always used Sears, JC Penneys, Montgomery Wards catalogs. We always used layaway at KMart, Zodys, maybe a few others. Very useful opportunities to have back in the day. Good times.
When I started getting emotional and crying over everything, I noticed it when I started bawling watching Disney cartoon movies I've seen a million times! Snow White, Cinderella, Jungle Book, etc... I bawl watching ALL Disney/PIXAR cartoon movies, every time! Actually, just about everything I watch that had any kind emotional pull, no matter which direction, I cry!
The Brave Little Toaster . Makes me cry every time. And I’m 65. ❤️❤️. I cannot watch Bambi or any movie where animals are hurt or sad. Only animated movies with no suffering animals. I’m 65 and my Dad found it funny that every Sunday at 630 on Disney I would not and could not watch sad animals. He would say “Laurell it’s about animals” and I would stay in my room. 🤣😢💗
Hint. Stand on your head. Gravity works. Honest. I look so good when standing on my head. Gravity puts everything back where it should be. And I look fantastic when upside down. . I found my Mom a 1959 catalog, the year I was born. We had so much fun looking at it together. ❤️❤️❤️
Hey y"all Good to hear and see you Jamie. Just wanted to say hi and God bless you and Lester. I wish you A Happy Thanksgiving to you all and just thinking of you all.
Watching replay. I grew up in Chamblee Georgia. It’s close to Atlanta. I move from there in 2001 and didn’t know there was a distillery there. Interesting how things change.
I remember going through the Wish book over and over as a kid, picking out my favorite toys. Sears and JC Penny were at the low end of stores, but we couldn't afford Macys or any of the higher end stores.
So so true. Menopause is AWFUL! Yes I feel all those things every day!! Fatigue, mental breakdown, weight issues….the only thing that has helped is carefully selected supplements!! Prayers, love and blessings from Rhode Island 🙏🏻❤️🇺🇸
I had an eblation at 40, went in to tell doctor to take everything, I use to have clots size of baseballs, worked in a clean room suit as engineer had to Miss my worst 2 days or wear big diapers, etc. my doctor was newer to Kaiser told me about new procedure then, & it was FANTASTIC, still had everything, no hormones, but barely spotted every month, told every woman I knew!! Don’t know when I went through menopause because just stopped & never had a period again! Awesome!! Remember the Sears catalog, Mom got it and JCPenneys catalog in November, but also my great grandmother’s farm had them in the outhouse!😊😊. Yes those prices seem high, I remember first starting at IBM in 1987@ 8.45 hr. Jr. engineer, which was ok because so many wanted in IBM or Lockheed here in CA. I always stayed hourly so I got pd overtime which I did ALOT. I think it’s kinda sad kids grow up in a no KMart or Sears world! 🥺 My grandma made all 3 of us girls flannel, elastic at wrist gown pajamas,,didn’t like them! HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🤗❤️🙏
I had the ablation too. It was the best thing. I still went through menopause. I think it is over now I had to take two 40 MG black cohosh every am and pm to help not get the hot flashes. I ran out and noticed I was doing alright for about a month and then I started getting really warm from inside out again. It was not nearly as bad as I have had. But I did start taking again. I go to the Dr. Soon. I am going to ask for blood work to see where I am at in menopause now. I had days I just did not feel myself. I would be sad and start crying and feel really lost. After starting effexor that helped.
I went under uterine ablation when I was 45. My husband and my doctor decided that I was bleeding too much on my periods, even though it never changed unless I was on the pill. Since my ablation I have only spotted a couple times, but only when I was around my nieces who were all on their periods. It's been 15 years now.
Sears used to make house plans that’s how my mother-in-law and father-in-law got the plans for their home because you would build your own home, but you would have them they would sell you the house plans and all the directions that was in the early 60s
I had a cat back in the 80's that would catch gophers and gut them just as you said the squirrel was. He wasn't a farm cat. Lived with me in town but when we would go to visit my parents at the lake where they lived. That's where he would hunt.
Lester doesn't understand the down fall of peri-menopause or menopause coz men don't have to go through the sheer torture every day! I don't understand why our bodies have to be dragged through hedges backwards just to stop being able to reproduce! I'm 46 and been going through this for about 6 years so far and I swear I'm over it!! My entire body aches! Headaches all day every day! Crying for absolutely no reason what so ever! Forgetting my train of thought or what I went into a room for! The uncertainty of when the menstrual cycle is gonna show it's head! And the list goes on and on!
We have that same stereo sitting in our dining room. 2 tape desks and a turn table with two speakers. I think the tinker toys were cheaper. Everyone had charge cards so you would just buy the toys and pay for it later. There was always a price contest between Sears and Pennys.
God bless you all and keep you all safe on praying for everybody on the hill off the hill and your animals too and all your Facebook friends and UA-cam God bless
Vacuumes can be in the thousands ! Everything is outrageous! You can be quality things at cheaper prices but alot of times it's true you get what you pay for.
In our family Sears was too expensive, my parents had a sears credit card only for buying lg. appliances when they broke down. They would deliver and haul off the old 1. 51:19
Jami i am truly shocked 😮 Especially the price of the stereo. Funny story, my husband still has two one was his mom's and one was his grandma's. I fought tooth and nail because he wanted to bring them home. I am not a fan of clutter plus we dont have a huge entertainment center anymore. People are trying to get away from that look and don't even get me started on the cords.. sigh Yup.. its in our living room. BUT in a strategic place. That was a fun game I loved it. But.i would have guessed far less on all of the items ❤
Sweet Jami! Perimenopause is real. What I did to stop the off and on bleeding, etc is I went on Depoprovera. It stopped my menses and I completely avoided the blood clots and horrible things my sisters and mother went through. That was at 45. If your menses are late, slim to none go on the shot. I cruised through menopause but I did experience the hot flashes. Like someone dumped a 5 gal bucket of water on me at night. Changing clothes mid night, towel under me, using many of my husbands white t-shirts
I had a complete hysterectomy at age 40 ovaries and everything all gone. It was the best thing I have done for myself in years no more worrying about hemorrhaging through clothing not being able to go places because I knew I only had a certain time frame before I needed a bathroom.I used hormones for 6 months before they stopped them. I felt over the years I was no longer feminine which was fine with me!
Jami, Thank you for you and Lester and all your fur kids. I had to send my Norwegian Forest Cat on Tuesday. Missed time out Tuesday. I am missing my Independence Wegie man.
Jami I’m with you about the menopausal madness. At age 54 I changed jobs from running a busy ICU and never sitting down in 12 hours, to a sit down job trying to convince doctors over the phone to take over care of patients from other hospitals throughout our 16 hospital system. Basically herding cats. All this while starting menopause, gaining 10 pounds per year for 3 years, plus empty nest blues and then a divorce after 30 years of marriage. The hardest of all of these was menopause girl!! My saving grace was starting on estrogen/progesterone. I could sleep again and the cold sweats were calmed down. I know everyone can’t take hormone replacement but if you can start them sooner than later. Life saver.
I wasn’t taking by any hormones & was starting perimenopause at 46 & ended up with breast cancer & those 2 things were the cause of it. I’m good now at age 54. Jami you are right on point with all of the menopause crap.
Jami, im 47 and had a full hysterectomy. So i have been going through menopause for 6/7 yrs. I finally fround something that works the Best for me and it's one a day menopase vitamin. That are hard to find. I get mine at Mijier if they don't have them then go to your pharmacy and they can order them for you. Good luck. Sending love from Indianapolis Indiana
My guess about the surprise is: Grandpa, Daisy and Duke's owner agreed to sell them to Jami as she takes care of them. Horse supplies and hay and manure rake does mean horses. I hope so because Jami and Lester will take such good care of them. Guess made 11/26/24 @ 2236
Hi Jami, FYI, if items were new on the market they were more expensive, when I bought my first microwave it was $700!!! Also, it was huge, about the size of a stove top😊
Oh yes Jami women are strong we have to be. It’s not fair for sure 😢😂 My hair is getting very thin on top 😢 I hate it. I have Hypothyroidism was diagnosed after my last child at 35. Weight gain and depression. But I took care of my husband who passed away at 58 from heart diease and parkinson. I also took care of my mother for many years around the same time for heart diease and Alzheimers. We women are extra strong we have to be. I wouldn’t change a thing. My son’s (2) still grew up to be very fine men and good husbands and fathers. I’m so grateful and thankful God blessed me and got me through all that. Life is tough for sure. 🙏❤️💕
That weight issue, that is me exactly. Im in menopause and I hate the fact that I gain weight only by smelling a chocolate chip cookie-but I cant eat it anymore.
Pawpaws told us about Sears and Roebuck back in the day. There were all sorts of things that could be ordered……from clothes to appliances to buildings to animals! The old garage at Kim’s came from Sears
I think menopause changes our bodies and brain forever. Yes it does get better but I think there will be side effects for the rest of our lives. I do believe we can be better by following a cleaner diet. Junk food definitely impacts me.
I went through menopause and developed hyperthyroidism at 46. Hyperthyroidism can cause heat intolerance. Having hot flashes and being heat intolerant is not fun!!!
Hi Jami . glad your feeling better. This was a fun video. They also had layaways back then. Which help everyone . Back then. Hope the animals are gonna be okay out there . Am scared for them . I hope the family all have a good Thanksgiving.
Amen Jami menopause no joke and I get it IT SUCKS WEIGHT GAIN especially😢 and people have alot of advice, It has tajen me awhile to stop being mad try to be healthy and guve myselfva break and remind my husband that ifvi havevto take a nap im not being lazy or just sleeping all the time
Jami I am 52 and have frozen shoulder! New fact I was just told the only way a man can get frozen shoulder is if they are in their 50s and have diabetes! Can you believe that crap another “woman” thing that I can tell you from experience it hurts like hell! Physical therapy is intense painful and they leave bruises on you just to get your shoulder to work again! Ugh!!
Jami i am 57 and still haven't learned how to take care of me first. Even thru my breast cancer battle, I was so sick but told the Dr I couldn't go in the hospital. I had to find babysitters for my twin nephews that I was raising. I went back the next day and said ok I'm ready. Yippee
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🙏🙏
🙏 ❤❤
Too many women are like that. My husband works out of state so over the last year, I went thru 2 hip replacement surgeries by myself.
Lay-aways were how we did it. Started in September and got them out couple weeks before Christmas
When you move the kittens to the J&L, please take their little home. You need to make sure it by the barn out of the wind. Good luck with making the change.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE MORROW FAMILIES ❤❤❤❤❤
The crying is one thing its the huge heated anger that overwhelms my usually gentle nature that freaks me out!
I know there going to be horses at J&L. Lester took over all horse stuff

Always take your time and eat. We will wait. Your health is so much more important.
Coyotes can also throw their voices to sound like more and-or closer/farther than they are. It’s scary.
Thank you for sharing. Thoughts and Prayers. Love and Blessings.

And it took all night and a million tiny parts and pieces to assemble the Barbie Dreamhouse! Sprang that one on my husband on Christmas eve for our daughter's main gift for Christmas morning. He was up ALL NIGHT going cross-eyed trying to put that thing together!! Poor guy! ❤️
My son loved Lincoln logs, but so expensive , a nice lady gave him a large bucket of them he was so happy.😊
Suppy and demand , when in demand its more expensive.

Hey y"all
Good to hear and see you Jamie.
Just wanted to say hi and God bless you and Lester.

When something little happens to a man, and you never hear the end of it.
Back in the day you spent more then you should and had to work extra to get caught up after the holidays !
Absolutely LOVED your trip experience 💞😄 entertainment!!!
Yes cats are good hunters and some picky eaters. Coyotes on the move. Breeding season they hunt more.
Jami. You are a lovely, beautiful , sweet young woman. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hello Jamie, when i got married in 1975 that's how i bought my household furniture i had a littlewoods catalogue, times were hard...xxxx ❤❤
I remember going through the Wish book over and over as a kid, picking out my favorite toys. Sears and JC Penny were at the low end of stores, but we couldn't afford Macys or any of the higher end stores.
Replay..thank you, Jami! I enjoyed TOT and am excited for tomorrow's videos and a live!? I miss Zayers and Kmart.
So so true. Menopause is AWFUL! Yes I feel all those things every day!! Fatigue, mental breakdown, weight issues….the only thing that has helped is carefully selected supplements!! Prayers, love and blessings from Rhode Island 🙏🏻❤️🇺🇸

Hey Jami. Happy Tuesday! That drink sounds absolutely delicious! Pour some of that into your Saturday morning coffee. Yum!
I’ve been dealing with that mess for 30 years girl. I am 76 years old and I still feel problems coming on.
Ben does his best, bless his heart. Jami, you are smart, real and normal. Please take care.
Loved your live Jami 💜💜💜
I can't wait to see your
morning video, the suspense
is killing me!!! Love y'all💙❤💜
Jami salt and sugar are women’s worse enemy, especially going through mood swings of hormones of menopause.
Sears used to make house plans that’s how my mother-in-law and father-in-law got the plans for their home because you would build your own home, but you would have them they would sell you the house plans and all the directions that was in the early 60s

???
There are Sears and Kmart stores in NC. That shows how we are stuck in a huge rut!!!
Count your blessings❤
Replay time! I only caught the first few min so I'm back ❤ thank you for doing Time Out Tuesday this week Jami! 🥂
I loved my visit to San Antonio from the UK especially the river walk.

God bless you all and keep you all safe on praying for everybody on the hill off the hill and your animals too and all your Facebook friends and UA-cam God bless
Nostalgia is so great! Sadly we can never go back. Miss those days!
Just gonna keep saying, it will get better. It's not fair, but it makes us strong. 💜
Lots of love Jami. Hope you had something good to eat🥰🥰
Oh Jami, you would luv the Sears & Roebuck catalog from around 1910 or even 1890 ish!
Vacuumes can be in the thousands ! Everything is outrageous! You can be quality things at cheaper prices but alot of times it's true you get what you pay for.
Happy Thanksgiving Jami, Lester And Everyone! 🦃

Jamie there are still some in Texas 1.5 stores Google to find out how many stores of Sears or left
Wow that is definitely scary!😮
Jami i am truly shocked 😮

Yup.. its in our living room. BUT in a strategic place. That was a fun game I loved it. But.i would have guessed far less on all of the items ❤
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Jami, I googled stereo systems in cabinets. They are going for around $2,400 now

Jami you can still order online from Sears just can't go in the store anymore
Jami, Thank you for you and Lester and all your fur kids. I had to send my Norwegian Forest Cat on Tuesday. Missed time out Tuesday. I am missing my Independence Wegie man.
We do not have one here in Richmond, Indiana, it went out of business in 2020!
Jami I’m with you about the menopausal madness. Those are probably Canadian prices in the wish book. Everything is cheaper in the states.
According to google as of November 2024 there are still for Sears open one is in Puerto Rico. The others I don't know where but they're in the US
Jami, im 47 and had a full hysterectomy.
❤Happy Thanksgiving ‼️ ❤❤❤🦃🦃🦃
Happy Thanksgiving to all ❤
That weight issue, that is me exactly. Im in menopause and I hate the fact that I gain weight only by smelling a chocolate chip cookie-but I cant eat it anymore.
Hey girl lookin great ❤❤
Pawpaws told us about Sears and Roebuck back in the day. There were all sorts of things that could be ordered……from clothes to appliances to buildings to animals! The old garage at Kim’s came from Sears
Happy Thanksgiving from IOWA!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Jami & Lester.

Baby girl welcome to life...Its been over 20 yrs for me. And I lost my hair and everything else
My hair turned curly/wavy after menopause.
Sears has nine remaining locations in the mainland US and one in Puerto Rico. At its peak, Sears had more than 3,000 stores nationwide.
Things back then were made better than things today
Brain fog feeling spaced out and hot flushes are common going through the change. Brain fog sometimes stops as well.

Just love you Jami. Such enriched conversations! I miss it
Jami I am 52 and have frozen shoulder! Ugh!!
I started menopause at 48, last period 51, I’m now 69 and still having hot flashes, anxiety, irritability and intimacy is painful. When does it end?
Google says only 9 stores still in the US.
