Ha ha Thanks! Fun stuff! It's all homage to a bygone era. Songs like that were all over the place on TV, movies, radio when the big killer bee scare in the 80s and 90s was on.

Its too bad u guys only get to see the bad bees. You don't get to see the calm gentles ones and how beautiful beekeeping can be. I hope you don't forget there can be a good side to it. When I do bees... I try to get gentle bees. And historically I didn't even have to use smoke when working the colonies. I'd open them up and they wouldn't try to kill me. And I could move around frames; I'd wear a suit but didn't use smoke. This is how its supposed to bee.
BUT I understand that the killer bees NEED to be goned. IT can't be allowed to remain where they are allowed to harm people and animals. And this is a bad image to teach people to hate bees. Hostile bees do need people like you guys getting rid of them.

You know... many states have something called a victims of violent crime fund to help victims recover from injuries. You might look into seeing if this can be used or proposed to be used to help deal with the costs of both injuries and removal of killer bees. Those are after all injuries. And someone has to pay for that. Gas isn't cheap either. It might take some proposals written to the state to try to work this out. But it would be interesting to see if it can help.
Hey Noah! I remember well how gentle the European honeybees were. I have to admit that since realizing that they too are an invasive species here I have changed my view of them. After studying how damaging they are to native pollinators while being so nice to us I started looking at them as wolves in sheep's clothing. Nice to us but getting away with murder in the field. Of course the Africanized strain really pulled the wool back from my eyes. Invasive species have never been good to the native environment they invade.
