*slams 2 half hemispheres of enriched U235 together*
😂 😂 Love it!
Or even better, two whole hemispheres.
@@ylette Good point xD
Imagine being the miserable person who downvoted this
I’ve worn many hats during my life but none of them has any correlation to these videos. I have watched at least 30 of them so far because you are great at presenting an interesting subject. This is the type of quality I used to enjoy on PBS, the Discovery Channel, or TLC which have all sadly become watered down and have started pandering to those looking for entertainment rather than education. Thank you for taking the time to make these and God bless.
I’m a professional gunsmith and merchant account broker: but I love this channel. Very interesting and understandable even to those of us like myself not from this field.
@@Shontaku why is Freedom's Life a douche?
Olagonin Chancer dont hate me cause I’m better and cooler than you’ll ever be😘
Cool.
Dude you're awesome, love the channel! Cheers from Canada!
That's great..... Great people are finally being recognized!!
Good luck at the charity event. I look forward to it. B.t.w, the proper number of “dad-jokes” to tell is about half the number you want to tell. LOL! I’m sure it will be great.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You not only get into the meat of a subject, but it's not too technical. You have an interesting way of explaining things that informs, but doesn't overwhelm us. Keep the videos coming.
I like this guy.
I love your wisdom. Thanks for providing to us all.
I wish every teacher I had were like you. I love this channel, please don't stop making videos :(
Thanks for hosting this channel, you are way better that my physics profs from college in that you give a good level of detail without going down rabbit holes-you just pointthe way to the hole and give us all a map :) look forward to the event
You are doing a great job of teaching things I love to learn about, thanks. Laserman.
Fantastic Doc!! Looking forward to anything you have coming out. I feel that I have a connection to U.I.C.U. - my sister did her undergraduate studies at your fine institution in the early 60's. Also, as a 6 year old kid I fell into the fountain/pool in front of the art museum on a chilly January day. Would sure love to come back and visit someday.
You're doing great work Professor. Love this channel.
Some time ago I asked for a Coal liquefaction video... There was already one up. I found it today... Thanks for all David and team!
I love your lessons, Mr. Ruzic! Greetings from Serbia.
Thank you so much David! Can't wait for both!
thank you for explaining stuff in a way that's easy to understand. The way you teach holds my attention. It seems that you are truly interested in the subject being explained and not just reading from a script, and that makes learning it fun. Thank you again for dumbing down smart subjects for idiots like me so that we can understand. Lol.
looking forward to it. I discovered this channel about 2 weeks ago and have enjoyed your content very much so. I wish i was younger because I would love to take courses from you.
please make more nuclear videos! I love your explanations!
I love this channel. Thank you very much.
Great voice great spep by step explanation. Keep on going.
Great channel and great content
He teacc
He squeacc
But more importantly
He will do magic tricc
You are an awesome professor mr Ruzic
Love you guys! The university, and you professor have my respect, and gratitude!
I'd love to see a video on molten salt reactors!
Hello David. When I came across this channel and noticed your name, it rang a bell. As a youngster, I'd read "The Case for Going to the Moon" by Neil P. Ruzic. A little digging and I see that you are his son. It seems that science and technology runs in the family. :) I think I still have the book somewhere. I was particularly struck by his Ruzic Shield, a passive cryogenic cooler for manufacturing in lunar darkness. Can't find much about that online.
I'm still working through this wonderful trove of information you've posted. Your presentation style is great! You explain things in a clear, factual, accessible manner without spin or hype. I look forward to more! (And I don't mind squeaky markers!) If you have not done so, how about one on Small Modular Reactors?
Fusion energy ☺😊
it's gonna be amazing
Thorium!
Sweeeeeet!
I bet you absolutely cleaned up at that talent show!
Hey Professor, I think it'd be great if you could do a video of what future energy production %'s might look like in 2050/2075/2100.
I'm not from USA but want to see it, could you please be more specific about channel , network television or else, please?
С интересом смотрю ваши видео
liquid salt Thorium and some info on the Florine salts
Hydrino; Think shrunken Hydrogen atom ...
. . . . . . . " Energy below the 'Ground State' "
.
So, you'll be on the "Champaign Urbana New Talent" show...? :-D
I Hope that "nuclear fission volcano" is not one of Your magic tricks
im so glad i dont work during the magic show! i'll be watching. we'll make sure you win, too.
Hi professor I doubt you will read this ... but if you do could you do a future video on the impact of solid state batteries?
noice
Some glowing uranium magic trick?
oh no, i missed it
Even this he explains better
08:30 pm central time is how much GMT? :p
I think it's 6 hours later for you.
I will sadly be traveling during that time. I wont be able to attend the livestream
We'll make sure it gets posted after the event so you can still catch it later!
No markers on this video???
Ma men just flexing in a talent show.
Noice
I find the fact that his wristwatch and lapel pin are on the correct side of his body disturbing. Who is with me?
Dear sir:
I want to learn everything I can about nuclear energy. But my math is shit. It may well remain shit. I am a rational, sane human being, on a quest. I want to create the cleanest source of energy I can to put out as much electricity as possible. That means solar, but also nuclear. Nuclear fusion is best. Nuclear fission is good enough.
I want to go back to university to get a BA in science, and maybe eventually own my own nuclear power plant. Aside from money and willpower, What do I need to make my dream a reality?
My humble goal is strictly to launch as many animals into space so as to reseed the planet full of life as a means of preservation of life on earth, and in as many epochs of time are possible. Basically Elon musk with a railgun [mass driver]. perhaps private. perhaps public. but a foundation the size of NASA would be my dream to manage. The thing I like doing is planning. Always kinda has been..... and now I have all the words of science I need to begin my project, though long-term it is.
So tell me, Where should I begin? What scales should I work on to provide the best, most good energy possible, for the most amount of people possible? A budget will be necessary, but, I want to do a degree in nuclear sciences, engineering, and other fascinating areas of study, perhaps dark matter and energy (which are.... aggravating.)
I'm a pretty good thing explainer. Perhaps a challenge I should take on is using the 10 hundred most used words in english as XKCD did.
Can you please personally confirm how the writing on the glass thing works. People say you're using video editing to do it. I'm not convinced.
It's called a "lightboard". You can google the details. It requires a bit of a setup but it's all done without video editing.
@@patrickmcclintick9552 Thank you. On another video a couple of people were convinced it was video editing. I wasn't convinced.
Pretty sure he writes on a glass panel that lit from the other side, and then the video is flipped
@@weasle2904 Another commenter said it was a device called a lightboard. That person was correct. I googled How a lightboard works and the information is right there. No video editing.

I don’t have the energy for this...
