Adam great video my man. Always good to see the cheapest games. Nagoya has a great selection of hard offs. I bet thoese nintendo switches are all sold out right about now. I was in my local geo the other day and there were no ps4s or nintendo switches used or new. The buy back rate for a switch is so high right now its crazy.
Thanks man! Glad to see you here. Yea Nagoya has so many Hard Off’s & Book Off’s. I havent even been to all of them yet :D
Oh really!? Thats crazy! I havent been to any stores for a while so nice to get an update. And now we know what everyone is doing during lockdown haha!
I want to see every game!!! I don't mind a Hour long video showing everything! Lol
Are you sure you want to see all the bad casino games and horse racing games? lol
Also, I always try to look at games I havent seen before too!
Good stuff man. The 'wacky game from Konami' at 7.10 looked like Bishi Bashi 2, I think. Wacky indeed!!.
Thank you for watching, man! Oh you know the title, cool! I'll check it out haha!
I'm always jealous when I see Wonderswan and PC Engine games in these videos. I found one Wonderswan game in all my hunting but no consoles.
Great video though, always enjoy thus type of content.
Haha I can imagine that. Ive seen a few cheap Wonderswans but I dont know much about it actually. I will probably pick up one later. Any amazing games for it?
And yea, I’d really like a PC Engine. Theyre usually really expensive however. But there are definitely some really great games for that system.
Thanks for watching! Glad you dig it!
There's nothing outstanding I can think of but there was ports of Final Fantasy, Mega Man and some anime games like One Piece and Digimon that look good. I mainly want one to go with my handheld collection.
Will have to have better luck next time I go over.
Oh but Final Fantasy and Mega Man sounds really interesting though :D Yea I've been looking around for some more info about it I and definitely think its a cool handheld. Looking forward to picking one up later :)
At the suggestion of another Japanese gaming UA-camr (KidShoryuken), I decided to check out your channel....and I subscribed. :D I really like the fact that you tell the prices. Not everyone does that. The only slight complaint I have is that the video seemed too short. Perhaps I was expecting you to check quite a few more games. However, I realize that you were trying to get to two Book Offs in an hour's time so it would have been difficult to make a lengthy video for either store. To be honest, I am rather shocked that you were able to do that! How close were those two Book Offs to one another?
Cool! Welcome :D Glad to see people still coming from him. He is an awesome dude and I really appreciate that he shared me on his channel.
Thank you for the feedback. And youre completely right. I had one hour for 2 Book Off’s in this video. It was about 20 min bike ride between them. So I definitely didnt have time to film everything in the stores but I was happy with the outcome in the video anyway.
I have a few other videos which are over 30 min. Whenever I ask my viewers, it seems that some people prefer shorter and edited and others prefer longer and uncut.
Great video as usual. Do they still have a big Vita selection?
Thanks man! Yea some Book Off stores have a huge selection of Vita! Something you would like to see in the future?
Would love to spend time in here! My kids and I love doing retro battles!
Yea so many great games for great prices! Thats the only true battle!
@@RetroMoments where we live there are only local markets and consignment shops to get your hands on the games. Nearly all of my collection comes from online sources. It may be a good thing I don't have this close by. Lol
@@RetroMoments are there a lot of these stores or is this one just a locally owned place?
Right, thats how I used to grab games as well. Where are you from? Marketplace on FB is otherwise a good option too. Heh yea, the first few days you go crazy when theres so much awesome retro games everywhere!
Yea theres a lot of Hard Off and Book Off stores throughout Japan. It is thrift stores for electronics and media. And each store has different stuff with its own prices. So its a lot of fun to go around to these stores and see what you can find.
I will always watch a video from you =)
I will always appreciate your support, Aaden! 🙏
Now this was really fun to watch Adam. 500, 250 yen and even 100 yen for games. Now that is prefect for a cheapskate like me Adam. A new record for me to see. Nice work as always Adam. 8^) Maybe we can see a video of video game goodies that are just 100 yen or less.
Anthony..
Thanks Anthony! I appreciate it. Haha yea, so many good games for cheap, its awesome. It shouldnt cost much to have some Video game fun!
Great idea! Ill definitely record a video like that in the future! Thanks :)
Would you be able to do a megadrive episode in Akihabara from a few of the best Retro stores showing megadrive games/consoles👍
Sounds like a really good idea! Ill add it to the list of video ideas! Thanks, Chris!
New subscriber here! Gonna catch up with all the previous videos ♥
Btw, can you make videos about Figures shop?
Welcome to the channel, Pasto! Sounds like a good idea! 😍
My next video is actually a store with both video games & figures. And probably the coolest store I went to so far. So its coming 😃
@@RetroMoments Nice, keep it up! It would be awesome to see more videos about used toy / figures shop, so yeah, can't wait for it!
Are you on twitter btw?
Thanks man! Right, I understand that. Im not really collecting figures but I can imagine getting into it. Its just that I always end up spending the money on games haha!
Im not on Twitter actually. Just UA-cam and Instagram. Guess I should get on Twitter as well now!
@@RetroMoments yush! let me know when you make a twitter then!
Absolutely!
Tack för fredagsunderhållningen ✌️. Nyfiken fråga: Är du boende i Japan permanent?
Good video
Thanks Aaden! Glad youre still watching!
Have you ever even played the very common Hamtaro Game Boy games? I know that they are puzzle games with an RPG style gameplay except there are no battles.
I havent! Were any of them released outside Japan?
@@RetroMoments Yes. The 2nd GBC game released outside Japan and all the GBA games did too. 1 of the DS games were released outside of Japan as well. I have yet to try them out.
Oh nice! And which game would you recommend from those?
@@RetroMoments Haven't played them yet but I will give the DS one a try someday.
When are you going to make a anther video. Please make a other vid =(.
Its almost done! Its coming in a few hours I hope. Happy to hear you are excited to watch it :)
I think that's the first time i've seen them selling games at 50 yen, usually 100 is the cheapest
Yes, true. First time I saw that as well in a Book Off. However, I have actually seen games for 50 yen in Super Potato. But those were shitty casino games lol.
Love your vids but i wanna know if retro games come in Japanese only?
Thanks man! Nope, many games have English in the menu, and some games have everything in English like Super Metroid for example.
@@RetroMoments appreciate your reply but is there a way to tell if a game comes in english before you buy?
No worries, I answer all the comments!
There is a list somewhere if you search on Google. Otherwise I just look up games on UA-cam to see. Is there a specific game you want to know?
@@RetroMoments my main focus is on N64 games such as mario 64 and zelda, do you think it's possible to find them in english?
Oh I see. Well I would play Mario 64 in japanese since there is not much text going on. Cheaper to get a complete copy and it also has Rumble feature. Then there are some games like Sin & Punishment that has english voice acting so that one works well I know. Played it myself on my N64. The Zelda games are a little harder I guess. I would get the english version of those.
Omg it would be so good if you could buy it for me and ship it over 😞 I was supposed to go to Japan this year but that plan got canned . Do you speak fluent Japanese ?
I will eventually start shipping things to people. So keep checking here and my instagram. What did you want in this video? :)
Oh, hopefully you can come visit later. Japan is amazing on many levels.
Haha not at all, I can get around but thats it.
Hopefully I will change that later.
RetroMoments I am actually looking for game boys like advance SPs and micros. Will check out your Instagram and Would be great to catch up if I do visit 👍
Oh nice! I am looking for a Micro myself. Found a few but a little too expensive. Sounds good. We could probably do that. I am currently in Europe but hope to get back soon.
when was this filmed?
It was recorded in the winter, so like January.
What did you have in mind? :)
@@RetroMoments no one is in masks ;)
Ah you got an eye for details. Good job :D
@@RetroMoments are you still there BTW?
Nope, I am stuck in Europe. I will go back as soon as I can!
So close to 1000 Subs
Yea its pretty cool. Im sure we will get there soon Aaden!
oh yes, been 2 long ;)
Is one and a half week too long!? I guess so :D
hahahaha yes I am
