You go at a great speed, so I can keep up. You talk encouragingly so we don't feel stupid. I really appreciate all the note pop ups. Thank you so much.
Yeah the photoshop on my MacBook Pro isn’t working the way you did it. The clone tool doesn’t work, I followed your instructions to a tea and it’s just not working the way your did.
Hey! Right now I'm on my way of studying the art of Photoshop retouching by myself. Your tutorials are very useful. I tried 2-3 different ways of removing hairs by other youtube bloggers, yours is so much better than I tried!! Thank u a lot.
This was a very informative tutorial, so thank you. One issue that is still problematic for studio portraits is when you have a gradated bkgd. This is great for getting the fly aways, but how do you not show the backgrounds' tonal changes along the head/face from the original cloning?
Our background is gray but we use a background light to add separation - how do you do this so that the background colors stay seemless after taking flyaway out?
Great tips for an indoor studio shot on a solid background. What about on an outdoor shot with a busy background? That's the real challenge. There doesn't seem to be much you can do to speed it up in that situation. Hair always takes the longest out of everything! I use basically the same techniques, but cloning the background takes a lot more precision and time than with a solid background.
@@SJ02208 there is no good shortcut. Busy backgrounds, especially since they are all different, just take lots of time and patience with various healing and cloning tools.
When the background is not necessary, I replace the busy background with a solid background and then used the eraser tool to take out the loose hair. The finished product has a different background.
Can you please show how to deal with wrinkles and uneven skin texture that are pretty much covered by long dark eyelashes? I mean texture under the lower lashline. All turtorials are made only on eyes with short lashes or almost no makeup. I would love to see you retouching eyemakeup closeup type of picture. Thank you for lovely turtorials. I find them really helpful. You are amazing 😊
Hi! this method is good but what if it is a photograph taken in outdoor where the background is non uniform unlike this backdrop. its not easy to sample background when it is a picture taken in outdoor conditions. please get back if you feel the doubt worth.
This is exactly what Adobe needed, a teacher that explains how to use techniques and tools in a really friendly and CALM manner. Don't get me wrong, there are other Adobe instructors that explain very well how to use the different PS tools, but never got to listen to a guy like this. The tone he uses makes PS sound so easy and accessible, giving you the confidence to tackle PS, even if you do not like PS, like me.
Hi, Your tutorials are very clear to follow. I have a request. Can you do a tutorial on turning a picture into a comic book style like the film, "Into the spiderverse". Thank you.
I am a great admirer and addicted follower of all your contents. However, as a landscape photographer, I have only one wish for the new year and that is to see on your channel a somewhat more balanced ratio of portraits/landscape contents. Keep up the excellent work!
@@FarhanAhmedClicks Thanks! Nice but I have watched your channel and if you play music in the background while marking the movement of the sliders, the viewer cannot figure out that at the same time one must press the Alt key. I am sticking to this channel in the meanwhile :-)
Hi Umesh, any tips for someone with a heavy hand? I use a Wacom and I've killed one already and also have gone through all my tips. Using pen pressure has always been a problem for me because I put too much pressure, any suggestions? Thank you and love all your tutorials. Thank you.
Thank you. So many Tutorials waste time with needless comments. You skip all of that and gave me the information I was seeking. Add to that your ability to make the listener feel at ease makes you a fantastic teacher. Very helpful and I will be subscribing to your channel and watching more of your lessons. Well done.
My photoshop isnt giving me the "Sample: above and below" option. It is only letting be put weird patterns that obviously do not work. How can I fix this?
Question: I know this video was created 4 years ago…I created a new layer and the clone stamp is not painting black on the “flyaways” layer. What am I doing wrong?
Please help a newbie here! I take the sample from a nearby spot but when I start erasing the model's face starts to lap over the selected area. My settings seem to be same as in the video (soft brush, sample current and below, etc) but I think there's something I'm missing
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH TIME YOU’VE SAVED ME? Merchandise has been purchased, thank you. Nowadays my main source of editing anxiety is hoping I don’t have a problem you haven’t covered. I don’t think I’m alone lol.
@@tomwendy5563 I use Wacom mostly, so I would recommend Wacom Intuos if you are a beginner but there are also screen tablets, like wacom cintiq but also iPad is good. It depends on which apps/programs you use.
Hi, could you make a video on cutting a jewelry piece from its background. We mostly get jewelry images in the white backdrop and there is a lot of white shine on jewelry and minute holes as patterns in the pieces. It's very difficult to cut and I have tried all your methods.

THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH! This helped me so much while editing two little girls with lots of flyaways during a windy day.
This video is amazing!!! thank you so much, very helpful!

By far the best tutorials on youtube!

I do the opposite sometimes. When I'm adding fake hair, I'll throw in a few flyaway hairs to make it look more realistic.

An amazing tutorial, very well-explained! Thank you very much!
This is a. Great technique but would be far more difficult on a patterned or non solid background. Thanks for the clear explanation. Lisa. Gross
exactly my words, i have just tried that on a gradient background and the step no 1 does not work, workflow gets very complicated then
My photoshop isnt giving me the "Sample: above and below" option. It is only letting be put weird patterns that obviously do not work. How can I fix this?
my confusion is in step 3. You Use foreground color white to hide/remove. My limited understanding white reveals, black hides. Confused???
How to remove sweating on face? Kindly do a video on that .. Thanks in advance
Nice
Cheila Ferreira Thanks for your suggestion. I'll try that.
He had made a video on that
the photo that I am trying to do this for does not have a solid background but a wallpaper type of background can I still do it?
This is a super helpful little trick, how'd you deal with cutting someone out of their background when you've got so many flyaway hairs?
you are a genius :)

How you do this when background has a gradient light :(? Clone stamp is almost impossible with gradient lol, thanks for the tips though!
make video on LENS CORRECTION
Thanks for this tutorial
It's a good way, but unfortunately does not work with a gradient background, only with solid ones. Any suggestion for the gradient background cases?

sorry for bad english...😆
What about stray hair across the face/forehead?
Is there any tutorial for adding hair on thin long hair. To make it thick?
Great tutorial, thank you! I couldn't find "control" on my brush settings.
In clean and flat background like in this image is SOOOOO EASY! HAHAHAHAHAH

What about the picture that is taken against a complex background, Like in a garden.
Great video, but if the background is illuminated with a gradient it will not work.
I don't understand why anyone would dislike this video
I like all your tutorials. PiXiMperfect go a head👍👍👍👍
What about more accurate using stamp tool in step one?
Genius Happy new Year from Roma Italia 😍 😍😍
He explains so beautifully but i ddont have laptop or comp pls tell for phone
Thank you, Why in step 3, no tablet, did you use pen pressure again?
one frustration with this guy is, his slow narrative and not clear explaination
came here to learn. stayed for the meditative vibes.

Sooooo what if our background isn't simple like in this example? Cloning does not work as well when there are identifiable objects in the background.

What if the background is not the same color to clone stamp, But trees??
You might need to remove your subject from the background in that area instead. Maybe try the background eraser tool to separate it out...
Do u have an easier example PleAse
Its easy to remove hair for the pictures with the single color background. but do u have any technique to remove fast flyaways for the pictures with outdoor background??
