@@goodoldbubba6620 I first ate sliced black olives at Taco Bell in about 1984. A few years later, there was a problem with black olives, and Taco Bell ended them.
Only two years ago the spicy tostada was on the $1 value menu for a few years before they took it off the menu again. Now they brought the tostada back and charging almost $2 more with 1 less ingredient.
I went there yesterday on my way home from work. I got the tostada, green burrito, meximelt, and a Cantina Chicken burrito. I always liked the tostada, which is more or less the forerunner to the mexican pizza. It was everything I remember, but never was my favorite so 7.5/10 for me, but yeah 82 (8.2) is fair. I'm glad they brought all these back, what a great, fun, throwback idea!
We didn't have Taco Bell in New York in the 1970s or '60s. They came in the '80s and they came with the tostada. It was exactly as you have described, there was no meat on the tostada. It was perfection. I cannot wait to try it. I hope it holds true to the original!
i'm not a fan of fast food anymore but taco bell did use to be better...the flavor's are still good but the meat is like sloppy joe mix, it use to be drier and more tight, the taco's get soggy, they never got soggy in 70s and 80s..that never happened and they put like 5 strands of cheese..super skimpy...its mostly all junk now.
The best thing off the new Taco Bell decades menu is the one with the thin soft taco shell (tortilla) that pulls like mozzarella cheese I like how doughy then tortilla is
You needed to order the supreme. It's missing green onions. You should always add beef. Add chopped onions. Use the pizza shell instead of the corn tortilla customize customize customize.
I tried the tostada and green sauce burrito and was a little disappointed. They were too boring for me compared to what TB have been coming out with lately.
They should’ve brought back the prices that they cost in that decade
They can't because Trump isn't the President. Soon everything will be more affordable.
idk why taco bell expensive used to be way cheaper
Add Beef, sour cream and tomatoes for an old Staple BEEFY TOSTADA. 😊
No black olive slice on the top. Not the same.
Bring back the Mucho grande!!! It had black olives and green onions!

This brings back memories. I think my parents had this the night i was conceived 🎉
I still love the tostada ♥️
I love the tostadas. I far as I can remember they have always been there.

ok i had one in the 70s, not the 60s. AND im pretty sure it had ground beef meat on it. thats what made it good. AND i miss the original one!
Also the Original Taco Bell was on Firestone Blvd in Downey CA but it was actually moved on semi trucks to their corporate headquarters in Irvine
Everything tasted better in the 60's... lol 😅

Gotta get that Meximelt today, have a feeling it's not as good as it was before 😂

Well, now I officially feel old! Thanks Endorsement! I was born in 65. 😢 I don't feel my age though! Rock on!
Instead of bean this would be good with beef. Great video as always 🔥
TOSTADA my king! 👑
If you add another tostada on top it makes a sandwich it takes about 2 or 3 minutes for it to soften up a little but I highly recommend it
Back in the day you could add beef to this. Which made it better
Bring back the Mucho Grande with black olives and green onions, jalapeño
I love them. Ate 4 of them yesterday
Yes there is and it's represented by the Caramel Empanada
did everyone forget? they were on the 99 cent menu up until 2020. id get them back then, but not for $3

the real o.g. of the menu is the encharito smothered in sauce, with the olive on top, in the oblong foil dish
Proudly representing Team Fire! Sauce!
I keep seeing ads for daves hot chicken, if they have it nearby then id love to see a review on it lol
The green burrito used to be my go to
I don't like that the cheese is not melted.. was it cold??
Good review!
will you review all the throwbacks??
2000 is going to be the caramel apple empanada dropping nov 21st I believe 😊
Where is the TACO SALAD? Bring it back.
My husband always liked the tostada. I'm not a fan of refined beans. I was not born in the 60s either
Put all that in a crunchy taco shell and you got a vegetarian taco for people who don't like black beans.
Breakfast with TheEndorsement.
Throw some tartar sauce on that bad boy
Got one a couple days ago, delicious!
I want the taco salad
Still waiting for the 29 cent chillito.
Looked like you liked it ate most of it it looks delicious
Bring back the chilito & beef meximelt
The meximelt is back as well for a limited time..
I've had them right before they disappeared, so I might have to add ground beef or steak to it because they're so plain
I tried the tostada and green sauce burrito and was a little disappointed. They were too boring for me compared to what TB have been coming out with lately.
Del Taco has that on their two dollar menu all the time....
I wonder if that would be better on a big cheeze it?
how did that not break on you??
Looks like it could use some taco sauce. 😅
Pickled jalapenos
You gotta add hot sauces.
Who would pay money for that😊
That looks pathetic!
Shame on Taco Bell for putting this out! 82 is okay? Come on, man!
3:30 - 1960s?? I first was to Taco Bell in 1979.
The first one in my town opened in 1977.
We had a Zantigos since mid 70's and Taco Bell ran them out of town.
I’m the first one to comment
Definitely add a meat please.
Mexican pizza better.
