- We all know the VW TSI engines are super capable of pumping out wild amounts of horsepower from a relatively small displacement engine. The 1.8 TSI found in the Skoda Laura proves our point. This particular Laura 1.8 TSI has been tuned to a Stage 2+ setup by APR. The clutch is capable of withstanding upwards of 400 horsepower and this Laura 1.8 TSI in its current setup produces a decent 280 bhp to the wheels. Apart from that the interior has been completely done up with carbon fiber inlays and new seat covers. The engine has got headers and pipes from APR as well as Magnaflow. Also this Laura 1.8 TSI sports a beautifully sonorous Magnaflow exhaust system.

Dude it may got all the expensive parts and tuning, but it looks like a ricer setup with awful wheels and doesn’t look or go fast in video. Just check out this guy insta page (sachin_rajagopal), a college guy’s Skoda Laura tuned to stage 3 with all the perfect setup done by ICD tuning shop in chennai. That’s the mean and lit as fuck setup on a laura i have ever seen. Fantastic job done on a laura till date. Even I have one and was tuned to Stage 2 setup by Pete’s customs, Coimbatore...but that guy’s laura is something of a different level with everything changed yet looks absolutely sleeper until you push the pedal! Check out his insta short video clippings of his car’s exhaust note and acceleration in his insta page! It should be like that.

Aditya Shinde i don’t know why it costs that expensive in North. But in down sourh there are hell lot of experienced tuning shops who does it for reasonable pricing. Some i know are ICD tuning chennai, Pete’s customs (Uberwerksteit) in coimbatore, Grid7 customs Kerala, Godspeed auto in chennai...are quiet some. I did stage 2 tune on my car for much less reasonable price two years back at Pete’s coimbatore. I don’t know how much they charge now but definitely it won’t be 6lakhs. May be the price he mentioned is justifiable because of APR parts but those guys can do cheaper than this. If you are interested take the quote from any one of them👍

Buy a second hand TSI for 2.5 lakhs and put about 1.5 lakhs on it and boom you have a beast.
The KW suspension itself will cost you close to 2 lakhs lol

No chance the laura is ever putting out 400bhp reliably.. lol.. trust me, at any thing above 360, your going to run out of clutch area...
a stage 3 laura from pete's tuning does put 400 bhp reliably and u can check that build out
@@prathameshingle1397 Stage 3 is not offered by APR. The Pete's car is running a JBS Stage 3 package (GTX Turbo) and a whole lot of custom parts. I've driven this car, and the clutch is really struggling to take the power. At 400bhp, your running north of 590-600nm peak torque, so please google and show me one single plate clutch for the MQ250 gearbox that can hold that much torque. I used to run a Spec Stage 5 Riveted hub clutch (the strongest available single plate clutch for the MQ250) on my car which was barely touching 500nm, and that clutch used to slip here and there, and last about 15k kms.
@@PrithwiRay so, just out of curiosity, is it the same issue with the mk1 octy vrs (the clutch issue) when pushing close to 400 bhp or is the problem just associated with the laura? I am trying to learn about skodas so would be helpful to know...
@@prathameshingle1397 same issue. It’s using the same MQ250 box, altho in a 5MT layout. Clutch/flywheel/pressure plate size is limited to 228mm dia. In comparison a Subaru STI has a clutch size of 248mm, with pressure plate, flywheel it goes out 255-260mm i think.
@@PrithwiRay oh, so the vrs 500( pete's tuned octy pushing 500 bhp) does have some major clutch issues due to the power output and is not so reliable I guess

Hi! The Laura Diesel is a great car if you want to get yourself a tuner car. But we will agree that the spares and maintenance can get a bit pricey.

Sage Riders Club mileage!!!! And if you are revving too hard or doing some crazy stuff...police will be the trouble. When you modify your car, staying low key on crowded roads is ideal...will keep you out of trouble😊 also, doing the tuning in proper shop will protect your car else some thing or the other will get screwed up as Skoda’s parts are expensive than normal Indian cars.
