I have a question. What is the difference between an inbox and brain dump? How do you decide what information goes in either section? I've never used an inbox only because I thought brain dump was the same thing. Lol. (Just looking for ideas)😊
So far, my current system is working...but I have been in that restless space searching for Planner Peace......sometimes I wonder if it is an illusive thing?
Hi, I don’t usually comment, but I want you to know that I do enjoy your videos and your content very much and I am subscribed to them. however, I feel you are very, very much over complicating everything you do with all the inserts and all the reminders and all the things you need to do and want to do and watch. you have no room to do any of these. It takes so much time For any of us to make our planners that complicated they are redundant and many cases and just very time-consuming and tiring to watch all the things you do. I truly don’t know how you have time to do the things you write down in your life, I don’t know how you can enjoy your life, and when do you have downtime? I know you enjoy making up your planners, and I agree that is really fun, enjoying, and a relaxed way of spending your time. Please do not take this too hard that is not what I’m trying to do. I love your videos. Why so much intricate detail for every little thing I’ve tried to watch your budgeting videos you’re setting up videos of a new planner etc. and I get lost and all the things you want to track and so forth. It’s exhausting you know of any other way to simplify all the things? Don’t be disheartened by what I’ve said you’ve got a lot of fans including myself. I just needed to get this ass out and see if you have any other ways to simplify and edit so much stuff? Thank you so much for reading this. I hope you understand what I was trying to write without malice. You do a great job. Thank you.
Glad I’m not the only one in flux 😅 I think any time of year, sometimes we just need to reset! Thanks for sharing! Love the idea of saving all the printables - always useful!
I have not liked my bujo for a year but I stuck with it until I bought a b6 for the new year. I really wanted to try an A6 but I don’t know if I want to use my A6 as a planner and B6 as my journal. Or just b6 all in one and use A6 as common place / wallet.
After I set up my planner at the end of 2023, I have hardly touched it. I was going to try digital planning this year as a pre-printed planner wasn't in the budget. Today I took the The Day Designer Daily Planning page and recreated a similar page in Canva to try out for the next month or so. I just stapled the pages together for the try out periode. If it works, I consider moving into a A5 rings.
I like the idea of a weeks planner but I think I still have a student mindset where the weeks format makes much more sense. Monthlies and notes are all I really need anymore.
Great post! Very informative and honest. Oh, I get the frustration. IDK what it is about the Hobo Weeks, but I couldn't stick with mine as an EDC either. Some have re-purposed the Wks to be for Health & Fitness or other use. Mine's sitting on the shelf, patiently waiting for me to make up my mind. I'm using a pocket size TN with 3 inserts as an OTG, and a MHP set-up (with my own inserts) as my planning work-horse. It's small and lightweight so it can go out if needed. I'm not wildly happy with this arrangement, but it seems to be working well for now. The thing is, we can switch mid-stream (or month) and use whatever works for now, if we don't spend a bunch of $$$ we didn't intend to. Have fun and keep us updated. Oh, and I'm SO stealing your external hard-drive idea for printables! Thanks!
I’m so glad it’s not just me! I’ve been in an A5 rings forever! I wanted a change, I’d been thinking about a change, I had planned for a change for almost a year! I started 2024 in my A5 Moterm gray croco cover, and A5 stalogy? I was going to use my rings for my house planner- reference, maintenance and meal planning. My Stalogy was going to be everyday planner. Welllll, January started ok, loved, loved making my pages and the “turn the page” aspect of the Stalogy planner. By the end of January, I was all in my rings, had beautiful pages ready for February in my Stalogy - and haven’t used one of them! I’m all in my rings planner again! Sooo, I’m rethinking again!!!!!! I’m thinking rings for planning, and Stalogy for journaling because I really do like both formats, and I really do like making the pretty pages. Good luck everyone, this process really is a learning journey isn’t it 😊😊😊
I am in same place. Went from BuJoing to HB weeks and it's just not working. I am forcing it and trying to make it work. I just cannot work with rings due to the rings. When I first started working went through a Franklin Covey seminar. The system works great but those rings really are a nuisance and so no more rings for me. Great video.
Do you use regular personal inserts, or do you do Francklin Covey Size? I know many people will use the FCC inserts in the moterm personal luxe ring planner.
I deringed a filofax personal size Malden that I use as a wallet. I have a b6 weekly planner in it. I had an a6 daily planner but I realized a daily is too much for me and an a6 weekly is too small so the personal weekly was my compromise. We’ll see how it goes
lol, this is quite the timing! I just moved into a gray fcc binder for my wallet and after seeing your hobonichi weeks planner I was thinking if switching to that because what I need is weeks and notes pages on the go. I decided to stick with my binder since I already have it and will just use paper I already have to make it a bujo style so I don’t have to buy anything. It’s a little big for a wallet but I’m really trying to use what I have and not buy anything new!! This video encouraged me to stick with what I have …for now 😇
@@PlanningAnnie lol, I actually ended up back in my a6 wonderland. I love rings it’s just too heavy for an EDC for my rheumatoid arthritic joints. I was having trouble getting the cards in and out and the rings arrived a bit damaged so it was driving me crazy whenever I turned the pages. Oh well. I took my kitchen scale and weighed all my planners. I even tried taking tomoe river paper out and punching it for my FCC rings. lol, anyway I’m trying not to buy anything but I have a feeling I will try out the hobonichi before 2024 is over :)
Great savings challenge! I'll definitely subscribe! I’m a new channel and would love your support in this community. 😃

Agree, it is the season for planner changes! 🤣
Have you heard of Planning with Chloe? Her method of GTD is much more simplified.

Yes! Omg I don't need a weeks either but my notes pages are working for me. Ugh such a dilemma.

I am in the same funk. I am going back to my B6 rings and my personal size rings for a wallet. Thank you for sharing.
I like my A5 rings planner for the same reason. I like to be able to switch out pages as needed.

This was me! I still use my A5 at home (some) but I moved to personal wide and am IN LOVE with it. It’s the perfect size.

Rings and I have a history of love-hate. Don't know how this round will turn out.

These are Franklin Covey Compact size.

Agree it is a little big but I am loving the flexibility of rings. Glad you are inspired to stick with it! 😀
