Country road driving lesson with Sophie

This is the first of many lesson videos with Sophie. On todays driving lesson we will be driving on Country roads. On the driving lesson we come across different speed limit changes that happen as you go thought villages. We will also come across a humpback bridge with traffic lights on(hill start if we are lucky). We even cross over a level crossing on todays driving lesson and finally finishing with a double mini roundabout.

But always be aware of drivers thinking they can get away with bad driving because they know they can't be seen so easily as in towns that have more cameras etc.

Since I’ve been driving on my own for a few months now, I’ve learnt that I quite dislike country roads. I love how on dual carriageways or motorways it’s straight and you can essentially just cruise if the road is long enough, not much to think about other than keeping a safe distance and checking mirrors/looking out for signs I.e change in speed limit. those bloody country roads though, so bendy and blind corners! So much to think about at once. Not to mention the pot holes on some of them that are national speed! Some of the country lanes are national speed as well and in my head I’m thinking how?! It would be so dangerous for me to do 60 on some of them. I quite like the open country roads, but the bendy twisty ones I’m not a fan of still. I will always try and go on a main road instead of a country road 😂 hope you are well James :)

Depends on what kind of country road as some can be narrow and without passing places.
