I have a ton of love for CH but the non-custom clothing resale prices are inflating a bubble. The rate of drops is starting to show their hand too much-the sense of exclusivity is fading. Resale is going to drop off precipitously as the market begins to flood (I wonder how many ppl who bought the recent pants emailed justin reed for a quote immediately?) and it will hurt the brand in the end. It's ironic the jewelry is staying relatively steady pricewise given it's always been the best of their gear. Diamonds are forever. Mass produced cargo pants? Not so much.
felt like this too. tried to order my wife a bag and was told they aren't taking leather orders and what comes in to the stores is it. was also told this is because "they are in the process of opening multiple stores" so the factories are trying to make stock for those while keeping stores some what stocked.
do you think a reason for slowing on customization has anything to do with a possible “shortage” of seamstresses and leather workers in factory? maybe they just need more skilled working who can manipulate these textiles
I sadly agree.. definitely have no interest to buy those online releases and these trendier patch pieces. Really hoping they start accepting custom patch orders again so i can get some pieces customized
Interesting. I would still rather look at Chrome hearts over the likes of Gucci and all who have actually gone full on mass production yet still claiming to be high end.
To be honest I think they might be more focused on everything but clothing. I could be wrong. I don’t think 3k for any of their pants is justified. If they began cut & sew for their own denim then I think I could justify the cost but as of now the only thing I’ll buy from them are hoodies and jewelry. 3k for Levi’s is highway robbery idc what kind of leather they use.
some time last year is was told that they are starting to use their own cut and sewn denim. not sure how much of it is true but from what one of my sale people said, they were having a hard time keeping up with the demand for the Levis so they started making their own.
They actually have done their own cut & sew denim for years now. Over the past few months I've seen a number of plain black and blue in house denim available at different stores.

Miss the uniqueness from them using the vintage levi's and vintage carhartt pants, because for sure no pair of vintage pants were alike.
FWIW they’re still doing vintage Levi’s, the new London store got a special run last month
I like seeing your insight into this and hopefully sparking a discourse on this topic!
do these jeans always have silver buttons or not?
I’ve been feeling this too
Have had stuff I wanted to get customized and sadly have been turned down
Ch is basically heading to lv from Hermes
