Wala ako expectation kasi parang mas marami complains na dapat si Marian daw nanalo Best Actress kaya pinanood ko ang "When I Met You In Tokyo". My honest review, her movie moved me in a lot of ways. Very underrated. Hindi masyado maingay but professionally and well-acted. Kudos to the three veteran actors in there, Tirso Cruz III, Christopher De Leon and also Ms. Vilma Santos. I have so much respect now, I mean she deserved to win this award ten folds better than Marian. Ano ba pinagsasabi niyo diyan... She played calmly an unmarried woman in her senior age and at the same time breadwinner to her family, to the point na akala niya her life stops there then she met love unexpectedly. Naiiyak ako sa scene na biglang isang araw hindi na siya makabangon sa higaan but then stressed to both of those factors to fulfilled, which is very related sa ating lahat na Pinoy. This movie is about us and our struggle to meet our ends in a meaningful way. Sure Marian has improved at ginalingan niya sa Rewind, but you cannot take down a Ms. Vilma Santos, in her prime man niya o hindi, she's not even exerting effort na umarte. Parang hindi sila umaarte ni Christopher De Leon, parang sinusundan lang sila ng camera and wait until moment unfold. She's highly and very deserving for this year's MMFF Best Actress. Kudos po 💌

After we watched When I Met You In Tokyo, i realized na may pag-asang manalo ni Vilma Santos as best actress because of her subdued and natural acting. Iyon ang advantage kapag ang isang artista ay hindi awards ang nasa utak while filming the movie. Nagiging natural ang acting, effortless, natural na natural. No hysterics. At ganoon ang acting ni Vilma. Kaya when the jurors declared her as the MMFF Best Actress, hindi na kami nagtaka. She truly deserved it! Congratulations Ms Vilma.

If an actor succeeded in touching the heart and soulof the audience without shouting, intense crying and being hysterical, then she/he is a great actor. That is exactly what Ate Vi did in her movie. To underact and still evoke emtions from the audience is somethimg to reckon with. You saw a different Vilma Santos here. She rightfully deserves the award.
Simple gestures and eye that exudes emotion na hindi mukang makaebak or doesn't make an impact even in slight scenes only, is lacking. But the rest of the Actors are good naman. But there are someone who takes home the Best.
