예전에 볼 때는 탈환이 좋았는데 (지금도 좋지만) 요새 다시보니 왕유는 진짜, 주진모라는 배우 자체는 싫지만 캐릭터가 정말 진득하게 우려진 남자. 더구나 사랑이전에 같은 아픔을 가진 망해가는 나라의 왕과 충복의 관계가 그 시작이었기 때문에 더 애절하게 느껴짐 특히 두보의 춘망이라는 시조를 읽을 때 두 사람 사이에 흐르는 그 같은 슬픔의 공감대는 탈환과는 나눌수 없는 것이었지.

Nope, in this drama, I think it was when Maha (Byul) died and she gets the empress, they were engaged before, they were not married. After he thought that Yang was dead (he has not searched for her), he married Yeoncholls nice in a korean marriage ceremony. A concubine/side consort, like Yang was at first to the empereor, was in china not a legal marriage and the kids from a side consort were illegal, only the legal wife had a grand marriage ceremony and her kids are legal. Concubines / side consorts were the most political "marriages" for power for example.
Love Ha Ji won she is my favorite actress and hoo jin mo is now my favorite actor. They both have a real chemistry and they are known for their facial expressions. I like the fact that korean dramas show in time their true loves never fades and it is inspiring to watch.
They deserved to have a happy-ending! I hate it when good tv shows have disappointing endings. I mean come on, they were meant for each other since the first episode - when as a young prince he helped her and her mother escape.
This is the sweetest scene i watch in empress ki coz u see their love to each other and oh yeah wang yoo (joo jin mo) the way he kiss with seung nyang (ha ji won) is gently and passionate, yet full of respect
I am still watching empress ki until now... And cant get over the sad ending of their love story... They have perfect chemistry... I can watch it all over again and again... The spark of magic is with them... Both great and talented ... I cant get enough of them... I love wang yu and seungnyang!
If they had a happy ending they had no chance to tell the story of the real persons, it's not the story of them in reality. Wang Yoo is a fictive character, the real king from Goreyo at this time was a verry bad man (Wikipedia helps). There is no magic between them, only he fell for her and she admired him because he saved her live as she should be a tribute woman for the first time, they were bothe teenager at this time. She was not fallen for him, but she has had a other form of love for him . As she decided to be his queen you can see cleary that she was fallen for Tawahn as she remembers things he did for her... she was torn between both men because of this. Her decision for Wang yoo was only because of the dead from her father and she had not experienced the things they should happend after that (series, reality was not like this) that let her decide to team up with Tawahn, Becan and Taltal.
This is suenyangs great love that cannot ne forgotten the fact that she was the emperors empress that doesnt stop her from loving wangyu from afar....they both had great dreams and goals for their nation but fate sometimes is full of mystery...
no fucking haters here, Wang yu is the man. srsly though joo jin mo urghhhh he is so perfect, his chemistry with seungnyang was perfect. I kinda ship both but rly, you just get to see how Wang yu's love is so much more mature and real. unlike tahwan who just whines to seungnyang all day. jjm makes my head giddy

아아 한 10년전쯤? 승냥이가 엄마랑 같이 공녀로 끌려 가야해서 원나라 사람들이 감옥같은데 가뒀거든요 근데 그때 왕유공이 세자저하였는데 몰래 열어준거에요 그래서 공녀들이 다 도망갔는데 원나라 사람들한테 들켜서 거의다 죽었는데 그래서 왕유가 저렇게 우는거고 승냥이는 거기서 살아남았었다고 하는 장면이에요!
It's been a long time coming, the emperor spend so much time with her the best he could do was stilling a kiss while she was unconscious. I only saw her just a few times with WY and each moment were so emotional and deep not at all childish, there is an undeniable bond between these two and yes they slept together and now she is having his child in ep 22 if that's not love i don't know what is. Wonderfully done writers they never cease to amaze me one of the greatest dramas so far truly breath taking. the show is an emotional roller coaster as a dying fan of WY i cannot deny that the emperor does not love her as well but you may think that i'm bias but i don't think he belong with her, they don't match, she is way too mature for him and too much in love with WY. ye, she does become the empress but i am almost sure it's for the King's sick, something went down that's what i'm waiting to find out. There is no way from what I've seen so far that she marry that boy for love.

It's been a long time coming, the emperor spend so much time with her the best he could do was stilling a kiss while she was unconscious. I only saw her just a few times with WY and each moment were so emotional and deep not at all childish, there is an undeniable bond between these two and yes they slept together and now she is having his child in ep 22 if that's not love i don't know what is. Wonderfully done writers they never cease to amaze me one of the greatest dramas so far truly breath taking. the show is an emotional roller coaster as a dying fan of WY i cannot deny that the emperor does not love her as well but you may think that i'm bias but i don't think he belong with her, they don't match, she is way too mature for him and too much in love with WY. ye, she does become the empress but i am almost sure it's for the King's sick, something went down that's what i'm waiting to find out. There is no way from what I've seen so far that she marry that boy for love.
This is what you call Mature Love. I like both couples. Love is not simple. Love is so complicated.
@sherly azimova You are right! She didn't marry nasty emperor for love! The real reason is to revenge Yeon Cheolfamily (more powerful than emperor!) In order to do that, she needed emperor! She told emperor that she didn't come to emperor for love, but to revenge to Yeon Cheol family who killed her father and friends.
That is why she married nasty emperor ta hwan, to use his power as emperor!
So this is tragic love story between Wang Yu and Seung Yang.She had to leave the man she truly love, and go to nasty emperor!

And look how happy she was this day only when she saw Wang she started to cry, and it was not because she still 'loved him' but because she was just sorry, at least they were both from Goreo And Yuan was her enemy, they swore they would be together to death Nyang agreed that she would be Wang Queen etc, but she became TaHwan Empress. And it all made her cry, and definitely not because of alleged love.
The man child emperor was obsessed with her. He didn't love her. He just wanted to possess her as his own. Let's not forget he r4ped Seung Nyang! That freaking weakl!ng.
