There's lore explanation for that. Back in his home series, Jin has been constantly targeted by hundreds of assassins hired by jealous siblings of his noble family in order to execute him for YEARS ever since he was young but all of them failed because Jin's friend and bodyguard keeps intercepting them. So it makes sense that people like Seth makes him uncomfortable, because it's another one of his traumas.
It's always neat to see an overly edgy character clash with the energetic and enthusiastic sort of hero when the writer doesn't pick a side and just makes up some fun interaction.

I always consider UNIB being much edgier than Blazblue. An edgy protagonist and heroine, and an even edgier rival. These interactions only reinforce it more
