This is legitimately one of the best songs Boston Manor has written. Not only is the message super impactful but the music itself is amazingly dynamic, layered, and experimental for them. They are trying new things, and it’s working for them in my opinion. Just look at the difference between be nothing and welcome to the neighborhood. This band evolves instead of making the same album over and over again, which is extremely commendable.
In the end there is so much going on which perfectly describes the feeling when you are in such a position. You take the way out you think is the easiest to stop this whole pain which is more than just a numb feeling but actually 1000 of numb feelings which in the end drive you to the absolut insane. Boston Manor. Thanks for this. From Germany with Love and Glue.
I don't know how but this song gives me Radiohead vibes, especially the intro and the part where he's repeating "On a high ledge" Either way these guys somehow keep getting better with each release. Stoked for the new album!
this song hits way too close to home so i had to snag myself the jacket worn in this video, simply to remind me to be strong. this band has helped me through so much sh*t i cant even really describe the sense of security and confidence they give me because i’ll sound like a creep. i’ve never been able to save my life, but they have quite literally pulled me out of the darkest void in my life and i will forever cherish their existence for the rest of my life 🥺 absolutely can’t wait for GLUE to release. i already know i’m going to cry some good ass tears.
I think the actor in this did a good job. Seemingly calm on the outside but it seems like he is tensing his shoulders and is unsettling in his journey to the ledge which I believe would be accurate for someone in the state of mind. Great video, great song, great band.
Not many songs can make me reflect in the same way On a High Ledge has just done, it's a message that needs sharing and Boston Manor have captivated that with an extraordinary piece of music. GLUE will be a top album based on the singles so far.
I doubt this is the intent of this song, but it helps me feel justified in my feelings towards suicide. What keeps me away from killing myself away is understanding that suicide is the most selfish thing one can do. If if you're dealing with mental illness, understand th@ you're still there and you're still here. i love you and people still love you.
@@FabulousKilljoy You must've missed my pop music rant in the new ATL thread with Kim Possible person lol. Pvris and Lights are probably the only exceptions to really good pop music. I mean, no one is really doing this style. ATL is pretty much phoning it in... It barely gets a pass as alt-rock music, just like new Green Day and blink-182. That's just me though.
@@FabulousKilljoy What live ATL video? We were in the same thread and I was replying to you lol. And I'm surprised because the last Pvris album was awesome.
@@aaronmuscledecheval2560 I'm plenty open minded. I also know how to read, especially where it literally says in the video that men consist of 75% of suicides. Theres not much room for interpretation there
@@Mikezinj Congratulation, you.. read, ok np but remember, interpretation is for everyone so there is no problem if mine is not yours don't be condescending 🖤
@@Mikezinj everyone attaches personal meanings to songs and lyrics and I'm pretty sure that's how a lot of artists prefer as well leaving things open to interpretation in a way you're comfortable with.

best Boston Manor song? whew lad you must be new to boston manor
@@craigkekw they did say one of the best not the best...even if it was its the opinion...boston manor can do no wrong
Dynamic sound definitely.
The message of this song hits like a sucker punch. It's so important, Boston Manor has nailed it's delivery 🖤
The bowlcut and his crew of legends have done it once again, certified banger
Great message, great band, great song.
Excited for glue
LetsROAMaround same, this one’s gonna be weird.
Don't really know what to expect, but it will be good for sure

Boston Manor. Thanks for this.

Thank you for bringing something different to the scene. You prove you can evolve in different ways other than going more pop...
I never even considered that, but yes. That is exactly what they did. I love that you posted this.

Video reminds me of Roses for the Dead. Fantastic song, poignant message. Stoked for Glue.

The actor in the video is the lead singer of the band
The tension in this song is incredible. I’m on the (L)edge of my seat listening to it.
It’s so hard to hear henry on the chorus but I’m digging this sound. Very industrial NIN type feel to it and I’m here for it
art

i love this band so much
honestly one of the strongest, most powerful songs I've heard. I have so much love for you guys ❤🌏
everything is ordinary had a nine inch nails thing and this one has radiohead vibes... lovin their new sound on this one
Best song ever heard. Powerful, emotional. I’m a female, but the message of the song on toxic masculinity gets to me too.🤍 love from U.S.!
such a great song and message 💔
So awesome
I loved the song before but now knowing why it was writen... I love it so much more
Video reminds me so much of Roses For The Death and that's good
big NIN the fragile energy
This needs to be top comment.
bigly
This is so fucking diffferent and i'm all for it. This and Everything Is Ordinary make me so excited for the new album. Arcane Roots vibes btw?
This song has a great message and much more like the Boston Manor I have come to listen to! Ratking also sounds pretty good.
Is ratking out?
Harley Collins no but someone uploaded the audio you can listen to it
Harley Collins nvm it’s been taken down but it’s super sick
@@harleycollins6627 Yea, someone had uploaded earlier in the day. I liked it even more than this song. But, I'm sure it'll be out tomorrow
what does ratking sound like? more hard-hitting like drowned in gold or soft like broken glass?
Powerful song, absolutely beautiful. Thank you!
Kid A
Exactly what I thought. They were obviously listening to a ton of Radiohead.
Ledge on a high, ledge on a high
Ouch! This went right into my soul and my childhood.
Thank you for doing this amazing art!
boy what a strong song!
This song is crazy. Also album title at 1:20
I love the message of the song and the very synthy, industrial feeling it gives, but MAN is it hard to hear Henry in the chorus!!!!
I think that may be intentional. I feel like it represents the confusion and lack of clarity that accompanies dissociation.
Amazing song
Aesthetically artistic!
Love this; the details, feeling and the fucking perspective
Deftonish
Ladddddsssss! You’ve done it again! 🔥
wow, what a song! shocking! awesome!
I think u boys r onto something
This hit so close
The sound reminds me of Everything in it's right place of Radiohead
masterpiece
idk what this song is but i just randomly found it and i love it
I hope this will be the first song on the album, because this sure is one epic-sounding introduction if I’ve ever heard one.
Everything Is Ordinary is the opener.
Great song, beautiful message! Fucking love you guys
Anyone else get "Chronicles of Life and Death" by Good Charlotte vibes when listening to this? It's what I think of each time I listen.

Why did they miss out the lyric at 0:44?
this is better than anything i’ve ever heard from these guys. really cool guys
Essa música é do ca-ra-lho.
Как я посмела её пропустить?!?!!!!
the start reminds me of daydreaming from radiohead
Mr Robot vibes anyone?
More people need to know about this show.
If “Everything In Its Right Place” by Radiohead and “Void” by Balance & Composure had a baby:
Definitely enjoying this one more. Nice to have new Pvris and Asking Alexandria today as well!

Well, where's Ratking?
They're now releasing it tomorrow. 3PM GMT, 10AM EST
It was delayed due to a mistake on behalf of "Kerrang!".
It’s over anakin I have the high ledge!
Good message. Song could have been executed better though... this mix is killing me.
Heard it on Spotify. Couldn't understand the words. Watched the video. Still don't understand this new album.
And then they released passenger....what went wrong

Good song - but that ledge isn't very high
Other bands put powerful messages with more than two sentences in their songs. The meaning had more words than the lyrics. Nope
Wow this is....not good
I dont love it compared to their old stuff but it honestly feels like a teaser
"Man up, man."
Nice sound.
