I hope this will be available to watch in the States! Only 14 minutes in and I'm already hooked! Love the characters, the acting, the silliness, and the accents!
Thank you so much! We're thrilled to hear that the show made it all the way to Ohio and that you enjoyed it! One of our goals was to see if stories from Scotland could resonate with audiences around the world, and it’s amazing to see that happening. While the pilot wasn’t picked up by the BBC, we’re still hopeful that we can bring the show back another way!
Great pilot guys! I fucking miss my home on the north west coast of Scotland. I live on a Finnish island now. Watching videos of Scotland and listening to people back home soothes my homesick heart.
I really liked this and found bits of funny . Im Australian, so i might have missed references . I see potential. The BBC suck so keep going. There's no success without failure, and all that . Best wishes 🎉
That’s quite a good comparison. Similar to what we were going for, a setting that’s a character in itself with locals who are funny without being caricatures.
Should you be looking to pick up a bit of the Scottish vernacular give Irvine Welsh a try. He'll have ya enunciatin' like a native-born Weggy in no time.
There is one more sketch set in the same universe (island). That’s on this channel, plus a making of. Other than that we are currently working on a way to bring more Isleanders to you all.
"I'm going to win my family back.... Then they'll be sorry." LOL
That went thru my mind once. Once.
This was sweet... I'd enjoy more of it... ;-)
Really enjoyed this. Laughed a lot. Watching from Australia.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great pilot! Chill island life of Scotland sure is a huge contrast from Shanghai😄
Yes it was!
@@studiomythicFixing a fence 3 times in a month. 上海办法😂
I’m in..💙
Not bad, seen worse, room for improvement.
Looking forward to watching it!
Was that pladda lighthouse? Is this Arran? 🤔😍
It was!
Is it Isleanders or Islelanders? Opening credits say one, screenshot says the other.

I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Glad to hear it!
Well done! Exactly the type of show I love to watch - left this gal from Ohio in the US wanting to see more episodes!

Good pilot 👍
I love the sister's hand made hat!

I've sent this on to two different people, and the only response has been 'Oh, excellent, I need something new to watch, where do I find the rest?'
ha ha. nice one x
Glad you enjoyed it
Simply brilliant looking forward to it
I'd watch the living sh*t outta this if it hit netflix/amazon/whatever
Well, we hope netflix/amazon/whatever are reading this comment.

It's great to hear that our little pilot was enjoyed all the way in Australia!
Live from the US!
Bring some more, can't wait :)
This is great! More please!
We hope to make more too!
Ok.
We NEED MORE EPISODES ❤
This is class!
What award was this then? Duke of Edinburgh's rubber award?
Best in Writing, Stareable Fest NYC.
it reminds me of The Hebridean Trilogy by Lillian Beckwith.

@@studiomythic well, it looks really good. Makes me care about the characters.
Why is this not on BBC iplayer 😕looks so good
It was previously available on iPlayer.
Need to see more of this!!!
Oh ok, so he's supposed to be her Scottish brother huh? 😅
Fantastic!
Glad you like it!
Would love to see more.
Excellent!
This just looks like a variation on Detectorists 😢
I’m not exactly seeing that, but if it is, I’m definitely all in. That was a quietly brilliant show.
Agreed! Detectorists was so great! I'm just sad there's only a pilot to watch and no further episodes of Isleanders. 😢
Are "Mullets" back in fashion?, or is he supposed to be forty? Fifty? Years behind the times
My brother had the same hair in the 80s, curlies and all.
They're definitely back in fashion!
business in the front, party in the back. makes sense to me.
@@shelbynamels7948 Just. Um. Just don't look at the side. Then it's over. ✌️🤭
They never went away in many places.
Needs work and better jokes tbh
Aye, sorry, guys, this is shite.
This is typical of BBC Scotland’s comedy output. Not even remotely funny.
Great way to learn some Scottish slang. Is there anything Mattmahuhu can't do?
Let's see if we can do horror next...

@@garykooienga9990 Close! But Irvine's work is very Edinburgh focused which is quite different from Glasgow. Ken like?
@@studiomythic Edinburgh, aye. Anyone not from either would be hard-pressed to tell the difference, accent-wise, one from the other tho'.
i could binge this for sure - is there more? feeble search commence now
