0:30 uhm.. I can dismiss the assumption that 'chubby' people are not recommended to use gust 16.. is almost 1 year I've been using gust 16, my weight is 102 kg with 177cm .. I didn't find any problems with this frame, it's tough enough.. just realized lately, my carbon seatpost always sag recently when hitting some bumps or hole.. And that's it, no other issues i got.. There are many possibilities, maybe cause seatpost material, my weight has increased (lol), or because of the seatpost's lifetime.. Well the conclusion is Gust 16 can be used by 'chubby' people under 105kg (my proof).. But !! back again how you drive and the quality of other parts you put in..
The manufacturer actually stated 90kg. However they are usually set it at the safe side. The main problem of Gust is the seatube are very short and the seatpost have to extend all the way up and the leverage force will be too high. This is why your carbon seatpost sag.
Thanks for the review Heng. Do you know if any rear racks and fenders fit these fnhon frames (20" or 16"). I am thinking of building my mom a folding bike but not sure that those accessories can be mounted.
Thanks for the review. Do you know the distance between the two bolts on the front block mounting nose? I'm wondering if it is a Brompton or Dahon fitting. I think Brompton is about 30.5mm centre to centre. Thanks.
Thanks for the Gust 20” review. Aesthetic wise, 16” Gust still maintains the vintage style. Practicality, 20” Gust offers comfortability and also for bigger and taller built cyclists. Btw, was that a front basket bracket you installed on your 16” Gust? Thanks.
I am 180cm 68kg even though I already know there is 20inch I still gotten the 16inch instead 2 weeks ago. Seat post is a little over the max but I guess is still fine for my weight. It's light and fast with the Litepro Aero wheel. The 20inch gust just look very weird to me not sure why.. maybe is the chain stay looks very long and the big gap between the wheel and the seat post. The 16inch just look much more slick.
Yeap. Totally agree on the 16” look much better! The limitation of 16” is just based on my experience and nothing concrete to support. I guess everyone have a different body proportion and glad that you are able to fit yourself with the 16” 😁
Hi, thanks for comment! I’m not sure if they are not doing geometry research. What I said in the video are what I think judging by the frame geometry. The riding posture are not as great as 16” version and the proportion are not great.
hi bro, thx for reply! riding experience wise, yes, it's different from 16", not necessarily worse tho, I tested one at my local store just few days ago, i'd say comparable to fnhon blast which i owned. as for proportion and aesthetic wise, i agree with you, this frame will benefit from carbon wheelset especially something with 5 spoke, helps to reduce those "empty space". Nice review btw, keep it up!
@@carvi1129 sick built and nice video! Yes agree with you. I guess this bike doesn’t suitable to dress up as vintage modern. Yours look really good with the disk brake and carbon wheel! Thanks for sharing 😁
@@HengChooChian, besides bicycle do you intend to recommend good and reliable bicycle accessories as well ? Such as Helmet, lights, handphone holder, saddle bag and water bottle cage etc . . Hi There, Is there a recommended rider height/weight limit for this bike? Any idea where can i find the geometry/measurements(wheelbase/bb height/TT length/etc.) for this bike? Thanks.
Saya 180cm, 90kg....
Apologise that I might not fully understand your question but I guess if you are 180cm, the 20” will be fit you better as 16” not really friendly to tall rider
Aesthetic wise, not too impressed with this. Guess the geometry of a 20" makes the overall design look weird. Also, there are lots of 20" offerings on the market, so I will pass on this. Gust 16" is Bae though.
It’s based on my own experience for height as 16” gust seatpost have to pull up all the way. As for the weight, it’s stated by fnhon in China forum. Of course if you don ride with proper position (leg straight when crank at 6 o’clock) then you will be able to use 16”

the bicycle is probably not yet fitted to your height, you can still use it, but you will have to exert more power when using it.

Yeapp, that’s a front basket that attach with the outfront mount.
Totally agree with the aesthetic part!

Hi Heng what about mud guard? I use my bike for tour....planning to RV and ride bike all over China.
Professional review! Btw what’s the rack for the 16 inch thank u
Hi, I order from Shopee. 😬
how do you know they are not doing geometry research? I think the rear arm looked more straight than the 16in gust.

Contact them via fb and they will be able to pre order for you 😬
May I know after reviewing this latest Gust , whether the improved workmanship for this FnHon is now comparable to the level of Dahon and Tern ?
I will say it’s better compare to first batch gust many years back. Not comparable with tern but at mid-low level of Dahon.

Unfortunately being a Chinese frame maker they don really release tech spec like western brand.
Wow
good

16" FTW
hi heng, can i buy a this fnhon 20 inch frame and instal a 16 inch 349 wheelset???
Hi, don think you should do this. There’s 349 version which will be suitable to your needs

What is the largest tire width for 406 can the frame fit?
By eye judge 1.5” shouldn’t be a problem
Hi. What is the front wheel hub size?
Hi, it’s 74mm hub ya
My height is 165meter, 75kg what do you recommend 16 or 20?
16
Maurice Plains
fnhon gust 20” frame longer than 16”
Yeap the frame and wheelbase are longer
Friesen Mountain
