Warm tone on Mahogany,Bright tone on Rosewood...Thanks
Great comparison video. You helped me pick the rosewood. Better base resonance and I’m a fan of brightness and indulgence in ringing overtones. I like the sound of both, but the mahogany is less alive.. thanks for posting this helpful video.
me too. My first thought
No, mahogany warmer, rosewood louder
exactly, the rosewood one sounds much more open and lively
To me it sounds like the GS Mini Mahogany has a brighter sound to it. Both are great sounding guitars. Great video!
Might just be their recording or maybe dull strings or something, but with more context outside of this video, most people would tell you the Spruce is much brighter than the Mahogany.
The spruce top produces a brighter sound than does a mahogany top. That is a fundamental characteristic of those 2 types of tonewoods.
Thank you for no talking videos
Whenever I’m weary.. 🎶
Thanks been looking at the Sheeran's w series but think the rosewood here sounds much better!
Una elección muy difícil, las dos realmente suenan excelentes pero con audios distintos.
Mahogany seems to have more pronounced mid frequencies whereas the Rosewood sounds a little scooped. Can't go wrong either way!
I like the rosewood a slight bit more.
string info?
Which one do you like?
0:04 I thought it's In My Life by the Beatles hahaha
Also sounds like the intro to Some People Never Know, from that first Wings album Wild Life.
Now and Forever, Richard Marx?

The mahogany doesn't show fingerprints! Great sounding guitars...
It is actually mahogany vs. spruce. We mostly hear the tops resonate not the backs...
