      I did this in my coop game. I dumped all my health and stamina into mana, then proceeded to get ridiculed by my friend whenever i died in, usually, 1 or 2 hits. Once we got roland to the ley line and had the option to call him a dumbass or something for pouring all his life into mana my shame was complete.

    The theoretical maximun is actually 760 mana. It does, however, require brawn which would reduce your elemental dmg. So even more of a meme.
    Breakthroughs: Spellblade, Monk, Hunter
    Faction: Blue Chamber Collective
    Flat bonuses:
    20 Peacemaker
    25 Ancestral memory
    15 Spellblade breakthrough
    =60 total
    Stamina available for sacrifice:
    50 base line
    25 Speester
    40 Monk
    25 brawn
    15 spellblade breakthrough
    20 peacemaker
    =175 total
    Health avaiable for sacrifice:
    50 base line
    25 spellblade
    40 hunter
    40 blood of giants
    15 spellblade breakthrough
    20 peacemaker
    =190 total
    This means you have 175 stats to sacrifice.
    175 / 5 * 20 = 700 mana
    700 from sacrifices + the flat 60 = 760 mana total
    Eating Mana recovery food would grant you the following amount of mana/second:
    Level 1: 760 * 0.0015 = 1.14 mana/ second
    Level 2: 760 * 0,002 = 1.52 mana/second
    Level 3: 760 * 0,0025 = 1.9 ,mana/second
    You could wear the cauldron helmet and would probably still never run out of mana.

      Ah yes I see I missed a few things here. Thank you for the heads up. I don't think I will do this again, as it was a bit squishy lol but it was fun to check out. This insane amount of mana completely changes the game. Use a shield and you can just block everything and deal giga magic damage. Although the stamina is really rough without master trader or dancer. REALLY hard to mana in actually mage armor lol.

    It's been fun watching the build on stream honestly considering having more mana on my builds moving forward since there is so much available I can probably comfortably hit 300-400.

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  2 роки тому +1

      Usually you are not really going to take to much damage especially if you use a lot of ranged options. So more mana isn't as bad as it might seem.

    Your so close to the 700 max you can get so close
    Break through rune sage spell blade and monk
    Make sure you get blood of the giants instead of wild Hunter this will also let you us spell blade and rune sage as your main damage add torment jinx and fire ball and your one hell of a powerful mage

    This was fun. More silly builds please! I am currently planning a "Six-Shooter" build, with 6 quickslots of loaded pistols plus one slot for fire/reload.
    Preload the guns, then fire - switch weapon - fire - all 6 in a row. Blamblamblam! The thing with guns is switching weapons is faster than reloading the same one.
    Thinking Mercenary, Cabal for lightning shot, and Hexmage blood turret for extra pewpew. Noble Mask for that steampunk feel.

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  2 роки тому +2

      Ah I like this idea. I simply went master trader armor when I did mine for speed, but man is all guns a lot of fun. If you load them all with frost shot you can one shot half the game 😂 and then ice shard everything else with you pocket full up pistols lol

      @@matthewtaylor6829 I had a similar idea for a solo hexmage breakthrough build.
      5 pistols in hotbar(slots 1-5), 6th equipped pre-fight. then q e r are rupture(hex-guns), fire and shatter-shot imbue(pain is also a hex).
      With 4 astral pistols and 2 bone pistols, inflicting haunted, scorched, chilled and pain was quite effective.
      Though I often frost-imbue loaded between fights for cone midrange hexing rather than pinpoint distance shots.

    One of the many things this game missed is re spec for your character. The entire premise of "well think carefully before you commit". How do I know that when I don't even have information to plan ahead unless I played the game. I screwed up one character and had to resort to studying the wiki to figure things out.

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  2 роки тому

  • @mkv2718
    @mkv2718 2 роки тому

    huh. so the weird nonsense i noticed i in the past, (then commented on and completely forgot about- apparently this started a whole conversation i was unaware of 😅) where in post game where i could take +19 mana was for like 475 mana was totally legit. up until that point i had no idea that the only limiting factor on how much mana you could take was how much health and stamina you could give up. it really did just feel like a glitch at first cuz there’s just no practical use for that much mana. with my wind and fire sigil build, i only took 3 mana, i’m not using a ton of mana reduction at all (white pointy hat, red clansage, master trader boots w/ flux and sinner’s claymore with redemption. that last enchant turns a prayer/sinner claymore into the best lightning staff fyi: 20% ⚡️dmg, elem vulnerability, and doomed. except instead of a staff it’s a sword) and the only extra sources of mana i have are from Spellblade and the peacemaker’s elixer. with leyline connection, and maybe some tuber gruel or fish slurry and with only like 40% mana reduction from my aforementioned set; i’ve never run out of mana in a fight yet. so new players- seriously, ignore all those “only take 1 mana cuz you can get 90-100% mana redux” build vids out there. that crud is boring and not necessary.
    want something not boring? it’s the only Staff NOT for a mage build that i’m sure no one has ever used and i think they should: The Gold Quarterstaff. which you get from legacy-ing a normal quarterstaff. which you get from putting some wood together. maybe a rag? i dunno ya start with the recipe. anyhoo, it has really good reach, the great elemental enchants of the Gold Set (really overlooked in general), and 1.2 speed. a great weapon for someone wanting to roleplay as a warrior monk (seriously, mix it with Probe and Splitter, it would be super flashy) and would visually pair well with the Squire’s Set for that Monk-y (not monkey) feel. in fact, it might even be ok for a no mana build ....

      @@mazdrpan4099 i think a lot of the original Outward players looked at that set as kind of a gimmick, which before the Soroboreans the kinda were. but after the enchant system, man, all lot of those are pretty good. what’s funny is that there are actually 2 halberds in the set, the staff and the guisarme, but the staff does give any mana buffs like other staves, it’s just super fast. also 2 spears- the pitchfork and the fishing rod. unfortunately the mining pick is still kind of a dud due to its super short range.
      personally i recommended the staff as i and many others have have a hard time with the aggressive play style of the axes, particularly the 2 handers. plus i just really like the fast weapons. the fang/savage set with favorable wind is nice for this too. i really do want to make the “only use base level stuff and their enchantments” kind of build that the Gold Set would just be funny with. a gilded pitchfork isn’t tacky, it’s Hobo-Shiek! have actually been running around with a fully enchanted scavenger set for the extra impact. it’s actually not bad. toying around with the lesser used enchantments is a lot of fun. meta is nice in a pinch, but walking around with any enchanted pot on your head so you basically never have to eat or drink is just fun. (i actually just imagine that the enchant only gives your character the idea to lick the dried food off the side of the pot, and isn’t actually doing anything at all 😅)

    Now someone make a mod that lets magic damage scale with max mana. Altough I never go for such a crazy amount. 80-100 mana is enough even for builds what dont have any cost reduction. And scholar circlet exists, enchanted gives mana regen, combine that with food regen, some staffs can have mana regen enchantments and if a build uses the philosopher breakthrough even more.

      1% is really unnecessary and you really sacrifice a lot of dmg to have to wear the light mender’s set. all the time. getting 3 or 4 more mana is usually fine even for dedicated mages if you have some regen with like even 30 or 40% reduction. and then you can build for dmg or defense. no need for 1%. besides, this vid was mostly for the lulz, not for actual practical builds.

For normal mobs I use the scyte, for mini bosses and bosses I go with the scepter of the cruel priest and astral dagger. All gear enchanted what gives more decay damage of course. Hex mage for the blood sigil and turret, shaman, and for the third breakthrough I still did not decided yet, altough I finished building New Siroco.
