This game looks so freak'n good.
Really man. I like the enemy variety so far. That part where the guy is playing and he's getting shot up with arrows by a mob and the tougher monster/enemy is running up around 2 mins in. Also it looks like it's going to allow for a lot of player expression. Different player styles and approaches. If there's new game plus with remixed enemies and higher difficulty it'll be super sick

Deez Knuckz loved every game from Demon’s Souls to Bloodborne... Looks like they are going after Nioh with this one. Which they should after how bad that game copied them... but it’s still going to come down to a few things for me. In Bloodborne, it was impossible to rush ahead and skip areas as the enemies relentlessly chased you and were faster. There were over 200+ types of enemies through numerous environments and eras, not just the same era like Sekiro appears to be. But the main drawback is how much they changed the progression! I might actually prefer it in the end, as it seems to put more emphasis on skill than simply getting the most overpowered gear and spells.
Yaaaaaay! Between this and Ghost of Tsushima I feel absolutely spoiled

@@Charok1 Nioh literally had the best combat in a third person action game. Most likely you sucked at it if you think it was bad.
The combat is god damn perfect, they just need to improve the level design and enemy variety, that's what's bad about the first one.
There is no dev on earth that I trust more than From Software.
CD Projekt Red and From Software are the best studios.
I also think square Enix and naughty dog are up there with them! Also capcom seems to be doing pretty good lately
@@manosmanos469 Squenix? I don't think so, because they've released some duds recently. eg. Tomb Raider, FFXV.
Naughty Dog for sure. They're one of two or three devs who are up there with From, along with Nintendo's in-house team and(maybe) Rockstar.
But From are just that bit more original and creative than the rest.
They made Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor, a game considered by many one of the worst games ever made. And their Dark Souls PC port was infamously abysmal.
@@Reloaded2111 Heavy Armor was a spin off of the Steel Battalion series, a series that is regarded as one of the best of the last twenty years by many people, and its awfulness was almost entirely down to how bad the Kinect sensor was. The PC port of Dark Souls? Meh.
I think you're reaching if you think a dodgy PC port and a shoddy spin-off are enough to counteract From's run of three of the greatest games ever made in the space of seven years. There is no developer on earth who has that kind of hit-rate or those kinds of highpoints with the possible exception of the devs I've mentioned.

This game looks GORGEOUS. If it actually ends up looking like this at release I'm buying a bigger TV.
2019 is an absolute epic year for gaming.
There is no better feeling in gaming as when you dispatch all your enemies without a wasted move or movement with such horrifying precision you surprise yourself & feel truly in the zone. That's perfection and the basis for a memory that may last a lifetime & make this games combat maybe your favourite in any game ever.
That's when you know you are playing a game made by true geniuses who are at the pinnacle of their craft in a medium that is largely misunderstood by non gamers.
I think if they could have that feeling or emotion for just a moment they would understand gamers and the entertainment medium or at least a lot more to give ( what I think is an artform) the proper respect it deserves and it would not be used as a scapegoat for many bad new events.
this game looks so cool and the enemies look badass. from software games are the only games with enemies that make me second guess myself every time i enter a new area like "what the fuck is that thing?" or "i dont know if i want to fight that thing just yet" or "let me level up and come back to it later".
It has been preordered for months. This is one of the few developers I trust to make a good product every time. I cant wait till March.
I get the comparison but let's not forget this game startet as a new Tenchu title. Which is awesome!

I was bummed about the lack of multiplayer ... Then i watched the video and i'm super hyped again.
This looks insane. Almost baffles the mind that it's a video game. The combat looks so fast and detailed that I wonder if what I am seeing isn't just another hack n slash with impressive animations but rudimentary gameplay. But I have every faith that, being a From title, it will be methodical and interesting.
Good info, but would like to know about the skill tree, is everybody unlocking the same tree in whatever order they want or are there builds/separate paths? Wondering if at the end of the game we all have the same character

Even with the huge shift in mechanics away from souls it still feels like it has that souls flavor. Maybe it's the enemy attack patterns. Idk all I know is that it looks good lol.

1:15 I can’t get over how cool this looks. Finally, human enemies that actually try to block/parry attacks just like the player, as opposed to poising through every hit like a punching bag! This posture mechanic is putting the action of Soulsborne to shame. Imagine if bosses like Lady Maria would actually try to defend themselves every once in a while instead of letting us stunlock her between ripostes...

One thing is for sure the gameplay will be unrivalled and fun. It looks like it plays just like bloodborne 2.0 with the dodging and enhanced manuverability and thats not a bad thing in any stretch, the world of bloodborne was nice but it was the gameplay that kept me attached, this looks like its more or less the same aswell, the world looks beautiful but the gameplay looks great aswell and imo thats how a game should be, focus on the gameplay first then the graphics.
From software had already beat out zelda for my favorite game with bloodborne and now they're adding heart pieces after botw changed to shrines. Man im trying to keep my hype in check, but it's hard not to be excited for this game.

is there other clothing or weapons ?? what are and how many arm upgrades ??
The weapons are only swords/katanas and i read somewhere that there's no option for changing clothes, but it looks like it's going to be various arm prostetics and upgrades for it
So what's the downside currently to dying? Just being set back to a checkpoint?

Because Dark Souls obviously had many movement options like a grappling hook and double jump. And of course it was also an action game and not an ARPG.

@JJ Yes they would, unless they haven't played it much. The artstyle, the animations and stuff like executing enemies along with the sounds that go with it, screams Soulsborne. I just stumbled upon the first trailer, having no idea what it was and immediately recoqnized FromSoftware in it.
Bt tis not a secret that we see "remake" of Tenchu game that just runs on same game-engine as BB and uses some mechanics from Souls seria because they are popular now.

It seems to have the feel of a souls game but I did like the death penalty they have in dark souls as well. The game still looks amazing and a 10/10 tho. I'm pumped for it.

+three stances for each melee weapon
+multiple difficulties
+The Abyss which is 999 floors worth of content
+variety of builds (unique armor sets provide various abilities and there are a lot of sets)
-terrible scaling means you might be stuck on a certain level at higher difficulties until you rebuild your character or farm for gear
-enemy and area repetition (seriously, if you plan on going to end-endgame you will play through each level several times)
-low exploration incentives
Some neutral things that will either add or subtract from your expierence would be the Diablo style loot system, the game can be easily broken with an overpowered build, and it will take several hours to get to the final end game content.
@@GGPoohBah Honestly the one holding me back is the low exploration incentive and area repetition, I don't mind the diablo loot style since I grew up playing Diablo II.

YourPalHDee well I guess that’s it’s whatever your looking for a game. The combat was ok in the Witcher, but I was always just enthralled by the incredible world and storytelling. No point in arguing though, since I think we both would agree that CDPR and Software put out higher quality games than most other current AAA game companies

Man Bloodborne looks so cooler than this. The gothic Victorian setting was so hauntingly beautiful. I got a ps4 for Bloodborne wonder if I will need to get a ps5 for Bloodborne ll but I hope it comes across all platforms. Games like Bloodborne should be accessible to all gamers.
