HOW TO MAKE/FIT KOI FISH POND VIEWING TOWER/INVERTED AQAURIUM**HOW TO LIGHT THE TOWER AT NIGHT

  • Time to take my INVERTED FISH AQUARIUM out of storage and take it for a test run, following a new paint scheme and wanting to place it somewhere else on the pond.
    These are so easy to create and fit to the majority of ponds, that I will take you through the steps it took me to create and install it to my pond.👍
    Also a 'Night Time lighting' idea that works GREAT...
    My fish love it and they also give you another way to see and interact with your fish each day in the spring and summer...😉👍
    I don't use it in winter in case it freezes.
    I painted it with standard spray paint as it goes off to a hard finish so won't harm any of the fish. I will monitor it for flaking as that could harm the fish IF they eat it?
    I need to colour the base of the aquarium as well so that also can't bee seen?
    Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and SHARE the video. Thanks for watching.. ENJOY..😉😉👍👍

    We added a viewing tank to our Koi pond. I really thought I had crystal clear water with my Eheim filter. Oh how mistaken I am to now see cloudiness inside the viewing tank. It is still beautiful and fun, but I have just begun to work on getting the water crystal clear. I ran my old Diatom Vortex for half a day and it helped a little; added another biological filter and some plants, added some carbon to the Eheim, and planning a water change tomorrow. Maybe my sterilizer bulb is getting old. Ran the metal cleaning device on that too. Your water is very beautiful!

    I was going to purchase some large Koi next week and some more equipment to finish building the pond.
    However I was given the nod to wait by someone in the know.
    She said it’s possible a price drop could come in April or May as employers will start paying a percentage of the money to those on furlough and make redundant these due to coronavirus so these may not get redundancy as the company can say they are insolvent due to coronavirus and have to finish staff.

    Hi Andy, i have a similar set up, however my water level in the suspended tank starts to drop over time, anyway to solve this issue? I cant possibly siphon the air every 3 days 🫢

    • @KoiPondLifestyle
      @KoiPondLifestyle  Рік тому +1

      Hiya, I've found that my fish take air into the tank when they go in there to eat the food. Also my air desks get moved by the fish so some air blows into the tank as well. If you can't see any air bubbles when the fish aren't in the tank then it's got to be the fish taking the air in. I also have to take a bit of air back out after it gets alot of use..🤔😉👍

    • @KoiPondLifestyle
      @KoiPondLifestyle  11 місяців тому +1

      Hiya, the tank has to be air tight. When its full look for air bubbles in the joins. If you have a air supply near by, sometime my fish move the air disk around so it blows bubbles into the tank so it slowly empties. Also the tank needs to be at least an inch under water but if your pond depth fluctuates it might be letting air in that way as well. Air tight is the trick to these tanks to work well. 😉👍

      Algae does grow on the inside but doesn't take long to clean off. I maybe clean it after 7-10 days but that if its in full sun all day. No sun, no Algae. If you have a cover over the pond this will also reduce Algae growth in it. They are great and the fish seem to enjoy floating around in them...

    Forgot to mention that heron is looking sick. Have you not just invented your own business building and fitting inverted aqauriums I can think of a few people in cheshire and kent who would buy one you could also add on cleaning them a couple of times a year plus pond cleaning at the same time use climaflex in place of rubber tube.

      I dare not replace that Heron. The real thing has not been back since I put it in... I'd love to spend my time making inverted aquariums for peoples ponds but work and the channel take up so much time as well as family stuff. Maybe I should patent it?? But the idea was for others to have a go as well ...😉👍

    Well cannot make my mind up do I cement the outside of the pond then stone paint it or cover it in decking wood and paint that.
    I have around 30 Koi in the pond from 3” up to 18” which I think is more than I should have in the pond however I am wondering if I could put a couple of 20” in the pond.
    Still nothing from Curry’s so I still have the damaged Fridge freezer in the passage and the other one I got from Argos in the kitchen now the wife got me to order another one from Argos today so I have spent £1339 in around a week on Fridge Freezers so when Curry’s collect and refund me I can use that money to pay for a couple of Koi.
    Why have two fridge Freezers you say well my wife has a heart condition and kidney problem so has to watch the sort of food she eats so we find it better to have a fridge freezer each.
    Big day today first time out of the gate since March last year but only to get the Covid Jab.

      I painted my decking before fitting it so didnt have to paint around the pond and make sure I didn't have to be so careful after they were fitted. Good luck with your jab... Hopefully that ='s some freedom soon....😉😉🤞🤞
