    Dear Geek Artist: Let me start by stating a fact that your Video(s) are a gateway into the mind of any artist. Your explanation and strategy is supreme. I am writing to also tell you to not stop, ever, especially for people like us. When you have the ability to teach and not "preach" and explain a terribly difficult concept such as Light and Shade in a manor that can be understood and applied in a breakthrough artistic application, that is an accomplishment NOT to be trivialized. I thank you and please keep me posted with your updates. Ciao

    Holy shit! As a mathematician learning how to draw this was incredibly helpful. I've watched several videos to understand how to do light and shadows and yours is the only one I understood perfectly! I don't know why it didn't occur to me to simply use vectors, brilliant!! Ig I didn't want to think too much about it. Great video!!

      If he incorporated a contest among 10 subscribers who could shadow the best, with a large monetary prize, like Mr. Beast, maybe that would work

    Thanks for the video.A sphere is simple subject yet the lightings can be complex as you explained. Id like to you make a video on human subject lightings for composites as realistically as possible. Thx again .

    Nice video. Would be even better without the copyright movie clip cutout.

    • @TheGeekArtist
      @TheGeekArtist  3 місяці тому

      Thanks. But I didn't get what you meant by copyright movie clip out?

    • @JHNNYMARTN
      @JHNNYMARTN 3 місяці тому +1

      @TheGeekArtist sorry was typing mobile, meant cutout. Just the terminator part, I know a lot of folks say fair use but most lawyers say that it's actually harder case wise then most youtubers go by. Either way good video, the shading is the best I've seen for sphere digital.

    • @TheGeekArtist
      @TheGeekArtist  3 місяці тому

      @@JHNNYMARTN Thanks for pointing that out. I never felt this would be an issue because I have seen so many UA-cam videos using actual footages with audio from the movie, some are minutes long footages. They seem to be doing fine and qualifying under fair use.

    • @JHNNYMARTN
      @JHNNYMARTN 3 місяці тому

      Yeah I seen that too, I think it's more that it's so common that you just need an army of lawyers to prosecute.

    • @TheGeekArtist
      @TheGeekArtist  3 місяці тому

      @@JHNNYMARTN I also feel they see it as free an recurring publicity for old classics. We keep the buzz alive. In the day and age of free internet, these instances are great marketing tools. So the production companies kinda welcome it.

    If you know how light works, and how to integrate different shades on your art work, then most of it will look realistic!!
