    How long did you have to smoke the meat and what temperature did you keep the smoker at?

    I have a verticle smoker like this, that was gifted to me. I would love to know how to smoke with it with out having to buy a new or updated one. Can you do a video for us please? I am very very new to this and I have been looking for a video for this. I have a smoker tube and I have a thermometer a good one I got from amazon now I just need learn how to use it. Thanks....Great Video by the way.

      Thanks for the message, unfortunately my landlord has sold the place I live in and I have to move to a place without outdoor access :( I'll be out of the smoking game for a while, but I'll provide what info I can:
      The majority of what you will have to control is temperature, being able to build the fire properly is going to give you results and once you learn to do that, you can fine tune things like what type of flavoring from your smoke to get such as applewood or maple, etc. You'll want to look for wood that can burn for a long time which may be difficult with a vertical smoker as space is limited. I would start out with a chicken because you can smoke at a higher temperature and not for as long. I would also check out this guy's youtube channel, he is lucky enough to have access to outdoor space and a lot of smoking equipment! ua-cam.com/users/MadScientistBBQ
