@@jongle2512 I do use a humidifier on them. I move one over to them that sits on a stool. I probably put a humidifier on them 3-4 times a week. Mine love humidity.

Yup...it will root rot like you mentioned. The pot has no holes ...why not try to change it and you’ll see the difference after ...and try to mix your soil ...consider as succulent too...

With the moss pole which you have, the plant's small roots(that travel up the stem) should be planted right next to the moss pole. they are suppose to attach to the pole. :)

New subscriber here. There is a variety of spider plants. The varigated regular one (white stripe down middle), reverse varigated one (white stripe on edges green in middle), solid green (rare), and the curly spider which is what yours is. I just love your monstera plants. Would love to see a video about how you care for them to make them so beautiful. I have one that looked better when I got it than it does now. Think I may need to put it in new dirt. The dirt I gave it I believe is too fast draining (too much perlite). The plant that you say has lost leaves is an Alocasia Polly (I have one) they are prone to spider mites so make sure you stay on top of that, as is all Alocasia plants. Fixing to order me a huge Alocasia with velvet leaves. Don't know what it's called but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Oh yeah, if you put your spider plant under florescent or led lighting it will grow this long stringy strand that will grow you some spider babies. Don't cut it off. Only cut off the spider babies as they get big enough and sit the baby in water (just the botton where you cut) and it will grow out it's roots for planting. Love my spider plants!

I have a question is repotting only for the plants that have grown and the pot is getting to small for them? Or are u supposed to be repotting if they are dying? And also do I need to buy fertilizer spray? And lastly what are good plants for beginner
Hello there! It is time to repot plants either when they are becoming root bound or like you said if the plant is dying those are the times I choose to repot my plants for sure. As far as fertilizer goes I use miracle grow and worm castings right now. Great plants for beginners are snake plants. Monstera Deliciosa or succulents are awesome 👍

Marantas are in the prayer plant family. Mine swing 180 degrees between morning and night. Standing completely verticle at night and completely flat or pointed down by day. A lot easier than most Calathea. My Marantas easily tolerate dryer conditions with humidity down to 40% without any browning. Same with my Calathea peacock and rattle snake & rufibarba. I have not had as much luck with the softer foliage calathea like the zebrina or white fusion. Unless u live in a tropical area, I would keep them under a glass cover or in a terrarium for success. They're spider mite magnets in my conditions unfortunately. I do keep my stromanthe trio stars right next to humidifiers...I find however, that their pale foliage is susceptible to browning...like a lot of variegated plants seem to be. :-( such a bummer but my prayer plants are so beautiful to watch. They are also the most vigorous growers in my collection which is so rewarding and why I keep so many of them.

This is something I do not have experience with but have thought about doing it. So I am happy you brought it up. The first tiny plant looks like a spider plant. The second tiny plant reminds me of a purple waffle plant. Maybe a different cultivar with darker leaves. The succulent in the set of 3 you weren't sure about might be the peperomia green bean.
1. Baby spider plant, the big one is a Curly Spider plant (Bonnie) 2. Looks like a purple waffle, you can Google it to verify 3. Looks like an Syngonium pink allusion
The first plant in the white triple planter looks like a Green Bean Peperomia. I got three small distressed ones for 50 cents each and it was hard to tell what they were, but as it's grown, it's pretty obvious now when I check it against verified ID plants.
And as for the elliptical calathea, dying new growth like that usually means not enough humidity. If your house's relative humidity is below 50%, I'd recommend a humidifier near the calathea stand. And you must have really soft water if all you have to do is let it sit out overnight -- if that's what your other calathea get and they're OK, that's fine, but I'd baby this one with distilled water. Evaporation and even Britta filters don't remove heavy metals in tap water. There must be just enough to trigger this plant being its Dramatic self. hth. EDIT: Same for the rattlesnake. Definitely needs distilled water. It will help ALL calatheas. So will the extra, consistent humidity. [I keep all my calatheas in the bedroom, which my husband has dubbed The Jungle.]
