Mango Chutney
Mango Chutney - Sweet and spicy chutney made with sweet mangoes, ginger, garlic, chilies and spices. Great on breakfast toast, grilled meat or on side with curry (yumm). This sweet and spicy chutney is so easy to make that you will love cooking some all mango season.
Ingredients
4 Mangoes
3tbsp white Vinegar
3 teaspoon Red chilli powder
1 cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Salt
6 cloves Garlic (smashed)
3 Cardamom
Wash the mangoes and dry them.
Peel and cut mangoes into very thin slices removing the seeds.
Chop garlic very fine.
Cook the mango slices, garlic in vinegar on a low fire.
When tender, add sugar, chili powder, cardamoms, salt and stir until thick and becomes golden.
Remove from the fire.
Put in an airtight jar.
Store in a cool and dark place.
