@@RedSamurai84 well nobody is going to get there but I think somewhere in Turkey where my relatives are, I may be able to get ahold of an old VCR with a news broadcast where the full Anthem was played

In the catalog of the Russian Archives, I found a 10-minute color film of the 1982 parade produced by the Central Studio of Documentary Films (CSDF). However, due to the high cost of digitization and licensing fees, I have not yet been able to obtain it.

Shame there doesn't seem to be any complete footage floating around the web.
My guess is that the parade may have accidentally been recorded over for Brezhnev's funeral coverage. There may still be a surviving copy of the parade out there from a foreign source however.

Do you know why there was never a full length clip of the parade like all the others?
My only guess is the original broadcast got recorded over during the coverage of Brezhnev's death and funeral. A foreign source however may still have a complete copy in their archives somewhere, so I have not given up all hope yet.

What's missing in your collection that you're still looking out for? Just curious.
The 1982 parade, and the complete 1983 parade. Then I'll have the complete 1980's decade.
@@RedSamurai84 So the original station that broadcasted all of the parades over the years lost the original copies of the parades in their archives? How did they lose them or were they taped over (reused)? Sorry you're having a hard time finding them.
@@TheYizuman They did not give me a reason, they just said they don't have the recording. So my guess is it accidently got recorded over covering Brezhnev's death and funeral.
@@RedSamurai84 That's a rotten shame 😕 One can hope someone recorded it with either a Beta or VHS tape and still kept it all these years. It would be a miracle that it turn up.
