I bought it two weeks ago I arrived yesterday I put it together I only have a problem with one of the arms it was a little crooked and as I try to adjust it the lining of the bolt broke let's see how long this shampoo bowl last
my family and i have locs and like to wash our hair very often the kids of cause do need help washing i saw two questions on hear that i to would like to know the answer to 1)if you need a plumber to install it 2) if it can hook up in a laundry area and also if its durable
Am no plumber and my son and I installed mine I did tweak it to my perfection to work for me no instructions were included with my unit so I used a illustration diagram that showed each parts how to chart. Hope this helps someone I may do a video myself for the DIY'ers out here
Where did the water go if your drain isn’t connected? I have had a Minerva backwash unit for almost a year and can’t figure out the drain. Any suggestions? I had water all over the floor today due to a chair adjustment I made yesterday. (27 years in the biz)
It's pretty good for the price. It works well and I havent had any problems since installing it. I will say I had some difficulty installing and missing a screws. One of the hoses came damaged. I had to go to Home Depot and get those parts but was easy since I'm pretty handy. It only costed $10 to get the parts. The seat and bowl is not the greatest quality, but that is expected per the price. I would get it if you're doing friends and family hair or a side business. I would definitely not recommend it for professional use.
Brandon.. My barber has 2 of these stations, but I'm not sure if they were already there when he purchased the shop. It was a hair salon. You are right, It's not the best, he secures a couple towels with the cape on my neck, which makes it more comfortable for your head back in the sink. I don't like the arms on the chair, too high and you can't rest your arms comfortably.. In the 80s while away at college ,there was this unisex shop I went to. But, it was one of those old lady beauty shop chains that went " unisex" equipment dated, like out of the 60s not a masculine setting, and staff just as dated .. I remember the shampooing stations.. Hideous bright pink, with the plumbing / sprayer hose connected Into the wall. The chair could be pumped up or down., spin around, and the back reclined .I can still remember this elderly gray haired beautician lady shampooed me, very firmly and thoroughly..it was the first time having my hair washed in a shop. When she took me to the shampooing station, it looked kind of intimidating and I was getting a bit nervous as she put the cloth neck strip on and tied a gigantic long vinyl / plastic cape on me. However , the chair was able to be adjusted / pumped where my head and neck was easily situated back in the sink. No extra padding really needed on the neck , the sink had a big rubber cushion , and it was a very deep neck rest with a view strait up to the ceiling. I was 6'1 . When reclined back I could fully stretch and rest my arms comfortably on the arms of the chair. The only uncomfortable part was when she or one of the other ladies shampooed me, it felt a bit claustrophobic, tight quarters and they leaned over me the entire time , otherwise it was probably the most comfortable shampooing station I was ever in, Maybe there was something about the equipment back then.
