Selbst wenn man zwischendurch andere , großartige Musikeinnen , wie Anne-Sophie Mutter oder Julia Fischer hört, die eigentlich von der Virtuosität und der hohen Musikalität David überlegen sind, so muss man anschließend David hören! Und ich denke es ist das Herz das beiDavid mitspielt. Er spielt mit dem Herzen und ist, in seinen besten Momenten ganz Hingabe an die Musik! Und das teilt sich mit. Anders kann ich mir die Faszination die von ihm ausgeht nicht erklären. Hinzu kommt noch seine überaus liebenswürdig Art. Das macht ihn zu etwas ganz Besonderen!

I became obsessed about him when I first discovered him a couple of years ago to a point that I've searched all of his videos on UA-cam - to buying and now owning all his CD's and DVD concerts. Then I flew from Las Vegas, NV to Seattle, WA to see him in concert. I hoping to travel to Germany next year to go to one of his open air concerts. I think he is truly amazing!!!

Since then, I've become an absolutely fanatical fan! I wish he would do this type of concert in America but I suppose it's not as popular here, or, there aren't the orchestras or the venues that are in Europe. But, no matter what he plays, I am planning to see him perform in 2013, God willing. I am saving for the tickets now! ~0;-D

A volte lo vedo così semplice David e stesso così come se fosse contento di suonare il suo violino che mi perdo anch io nel seguire le sue espressioni che sembra che dica però l ho suonato bene insomma è un piacere ascoltarlo e vederlo suonare e subito dopo penso e se fosse tutta una impostazione preparata e non spontaneo come sembra sembra a me ma non ci voglio pensare David è un fuoriclasse e come a me piace moltissimo Dmitri il baritono russo coi capelli bianchi lo trovo bravissimo potente simpatico con un portameto come pochi hanno è poi dolce scherzoso quando duetta assieme a Kaufmann e una voce come poche ho sentite , a me non piacevano le canzoni napoletane cantate dai tenori ecc invece Dmitri mi ha fatto cambiare idea e la pronuncia perfetta anche Kaufmann è così insomma a me non piace per il momento i nuovi cantanti di musica leggera di adesso gridano non cantano con comportamenti parlo per me volgari scusatemi ma mi allontano sempre più e ascolto solo classico vi ringrazio ......ivana
This might be an answer to your question: Most Germans know this melody (paganini, piece at the end) very well. It is rather ordinary, since the lyrics are not spectacular, yet funny: "My hat has three corners". You will hear this song in beer gardens and such... never in this frame of high performance. I can imagine that it comes as a big surprise to most, that this simple melody is followed by very impressive variations and that it was actually composed by such a great composer. and violinist.
