I restored my Fox body Mustang on basically 95% hyper tough tools! And they have served me well no complaints here at all and I’ve used snap on tools for two decades at My work! Hundred percent satisfied with hyper tough!
Let's not get anything twisted. Black and Decker had an amazing run. They were putting power tools in people's hands long before the general population lived within 100 miles of a Lowe's or Home Depot. Other brands struggled to compete in both price and quality. Take corded circular saws and drills. I would choose Black and Decker over Skill all day long. And Black and Decker was the undisputed KING of cordless tools. Literally a household name. 1000 sales to home owners for every sale of a pro tool to a professional. Yeah Reebok is Reebok. But don't ever forget that they used to be Reebok
Black and Decker renamed their good top-tier ( "Industrial" and "Profesional") tools Dewalt and relegated the Black and Decker brand to the lowest possible level. Been that way for 30 years at least.
I’ve had a few black decker tools in past and everyone of the power tools died and sucked b@lls, every single one of them, never ever again, every time I see they’re color I cringe
@@tonycoraccio3514I only had one B&D tool, a cheap $20 cordless drill. It was well worth the price. I used that thing for years for light duty stuff around the house. I only stopped using because I lost the charging cord and caught a deal on a Ryobi.
This is why I love this channel. This guy gets it. Hyper tough has been making some huge strides to become what I would call perhaps the best value on the market for the average person.
I've used hyper tough for my home projects and lawn care. all I've done is grease up and swap out batteries for them. I have both corded and cordless of the tools. The 12v is a good budget choice for various purposes. I have the 12v 3/8ths impact with a 4.0ah. It took my rusted on lug nuts off my van.

Interesting. Most of the Hart tools and storage boxes were on clearance at my local Walmart. Meanwhile, they were heavily promoting they Hyper Tough tools. Made me wonder if something was up with Walmart's relationship with Hart. Today, Direct Tools is running a sale on all their Hart tools. Now this.
Hart tools have better power but don't hold up. hyper tough is weak but can take a beating use them for home and emergency backup If one of my tools goes down on the truck
I look at these 12v tools at walmart all the time. They're pretty tempting. My biggest worry is that Walmart could just up and stop carrying them at any time. Then I can't find batteries going forrward.
I have the brushless drill, i use it for sharpening tungsten at job sites as a steamfitter/welder. I've used it for drilling some holes a couple times but for what i need it for, its perfect, and the small battery holds charge for a month or so. Something interesting about the hyper tough 20 V line is there half-inch mid torque impact wrench is the exact same as the klutch one. They also share the same battery platform.
I have a handful of the 12v hyper tough tools. The ratchet, impact wrench, router and multi-tool. Been happy with the impact wrench. The ratchet and multi-tool have worked well so far too. I also bought the 4amp/hr batteries so in sure that helps in performance of the tools. I had the long next ratchet and it broke. Something in the head. Walmart took it back without issue. I'm going to order another one bc having the extended neck is nice when doing some car work
Always steered away from hyper tough till i used one at my cousin's place. Wasn't my ryobi but good enough. Wanted a cordless ratchet later. Rolled the dice. While I'm not overly impressed, it does work well enough. Decent battery life to. They've came a long way.

You should see their new 12v compact impact wrench v2, they updated their package, now it comes with a 4amp battery, with a super fast charger, and the impact has a digital speed changer like the Milwaukee stubby. It looks good ngl for only 50 bucks
I bought into the previous Hart storage set, and it went away. I started to buy into the current Hart set, and I'm hoping it doesn't disappear from Walmart as well.
I have the impact driver, old 3/8 impact, and the drill. I just picked up the new 3/8 impact kit today, haven't tried it yet but I can tell the hammer is significantly heavier than the old one
I picked up the new brushless circular saw mainly out of curiosity and it was only $60.00. While it works great and has plenty of power. It is almost 100% plastic, and cheap plastc at that. The only metal is the shoe. I'm going to keep it and use it as much as I can to test longevity.

It weighed 2 times what the 12 volt drill weighed and had way too much power even with the clutch on a low setting. There is definitely an advantage to the weight savings of a 12 volt system.
Deep into the Hart 20v line but I also have some HyperTough 20v and it was one of their impact drivers I had at hand last weekend when I needed one. Couldn't find my Hart impact. Anyway, the Hypertough impact worked fine.
I still have a Black and Decker Cyclone 12v impact same tool as an early Dewalt 12volt before dewalt even had a hex drive 12 volt. I bought it at a sidewalk sale at granger in the mid 90’s.
I tried a HT needle nose pliers and they were rock solid, no wobble/ loose pivot, and they were hard as nails, I tried a screwdriver with the interchangeable bits from the Dollar General Store and the bits got chewed up pretty good after one use, almost like they were not heat treated or made from soft Magnesium , the screwdriver itself was fine, just the bits sucked. luckily I had some good bits to put in the handle
In the UK Asda part of the Walmart group used to sell a very limited number of basic tools, but now very few. Looking on Amazon, the Hyper Tough tools look like cheap generic PRC tat which are too expensive without a brand certainty.
the problem with hart is that they are expensive, they rarely have sales also. a lot of their products are the same price as ryobi but feel cheaper and have less features. i have hart btw but wouldnt mind going hyper
this will be great, i can get some stuff to leave at short term rental units to fix the small stuff at checkouts and get some to leave at the hunting camp.
I have several hyper tough box wrenches and sae sockets that I needed to work on my 74 Gran Torino. If the price is right I’ll see what the hyper tough circular saw vs the hart circular saw
I think alot of people are getting smarter with tool purchases especially the casual diy'er or hardcore diy'er. Realizing that tool prices are getting out of hand and looking elsewhere. Some manufacturers know this and are starting to compete with big name brands which helps out the consumer.
Could a 12 volt brushless impact have enough torque to take off and install lug nuts? Because if it could I could see a combo kit intended for cars. An impact, an inflator, a trouble/work light, a jump starter and a hand vacc, with a couple of batteries and a charger that can run off both 110 house power or a 12 volt power port.
Their brushless 12v was decent for a throw in your truck and not care for it getting stolen or wet but not sure they will be Ryobi or Some other decent dyi ones.
I'd Def buy the hyper stak for my son, he's 3 but he absolutely loves my tools. I get him to do oil changes with me on my car. He's got his own ryobi tool set lol.
I'd really like a good look at the drawer storage system. I've been building drawers for a new workbench I'm building. I don't know, but I'm guessing I could buy their system for less than what I have in material to build mine. And that doesn't include the cost of the time and tools to build them. 🙂🙂😂❤❤
I use my hyper tough 12v cut off wheel more than my Milwaukee 12v cut off wheel since I work commercial and would rather have the hyper tough fall off the scissor lift than my Milwaukee and I can’t complain.
hyper tough and hart. If the price point is decent, I would happily grab one of those folding carts for my garage. It's not something I've ever needed on the jobsite so I'm not interested in spending a ton of money on one. But my garage does not have a ton of room to spare and a cart would be nice to have access to when loading and unloading tools or doing vehicle maintenance.
I’m glad they’re getting serious, their stubby got me by when my m12 stubby was getting fixed and for the price it’s honestly a solid deal. Also was using it professionally did some suspension things and no obviously didn’t remove everything but it does the job, if you’re a new tech or in the lube rack it’s the go to line in my opinion until you get your feet more wet. And when it brakes and you’re out of your two year warranty invest in Milwaukee. I have almost of their tool line for home use all I’m missing is their brushless drill
YOU are the star ! I did not get the reference tho.. I’m retired from B&D so I still have DeWalt cordless, ten years old now For anything else I recommend Ryobi to friends and Harbor Freight products too - both brands cover start out tools all the way to pro level Be cool to see what Walmart comes up with
Honestly I have a hyper tough do to me buying a pair on ally express and they are fantastic for how long I’ve had them and been using them a lot they are the cordless ratchets
All my hammers are hyper tough. I would have never bought an electric rachet if not for the sale on hyper toughs. I used them for a few jobs and broke them and got the milwakee 12v set. Had them warrantied so if something goes wrong, I have a backup set. Pack-out is where I will draw the line though as the red is too much money due to popularity. That folding service cart looks cool if it doesn't fall apart. I am a mobile mechanic and it would help unloading and loading for sure.

Hi just went to walmart tonight and saw the new boxes they look very nice and seem to be the same quality as the hart boxes
i have their power ratchet plenty of power and great tool, would recommend it.
Their tool wraps are pretty darn good and cheap. I even use them for work
I'd Def buy the hyper stak for my son, he's 3 but he absolutely loves my tools.
I had and still got a hyper tough 3/8 ratchet and it only gave me problems once now it’s kicking better than ever
I wish Skil had beefed up they're 12v line with more options. I've had great luck with some of their stuff.
I use my hyper tough 12v cut off wheel more than my Milwaukee 12v cut off wheel since I work commercial and would rather have the hyper tough fall off the scissor lift than my Milwaukee and I can’t complain.
hyper tough and hart. Weve revamped our entire tool section at our store and it looking alot better quality than it used to. my guess is theyre gonna try to compete with harbor freight but theyre still years from that. if you donjt have a harbor freight though its gonna be a decent choice it looks like
So you edited your comment, but still have atrocious spelling and punctuation?
That does nothing for a reader to take your comment seriously. Just trying to help you.
@@paulmysliborski4832 I could care less if people take me seriously on the internet lol. I'm not writing a thesis for college and don't feel like taking more than 15 seconds to write an opinion. It's not like im trying to sell these products or making any profit from this comment so remind me again why I would care.
@@mech0p Because maybe you would like to be taken seriously by anyone reading your posts?
Not attacking, just trying to help.
I wonder when Harbor will come up with their own mobile stack system line. 🤔
Bauer.
@@strakill God if only there were drawers, I'd buy a ton
@@strakilltrue. I didn’t even know that existed. I guess cuz it’s not talked about often but I might just be living under a rock.
HT hand tools have saved my butt in more than a few situations. Inexpensive, and they actually have a decent selection for most situations.
I bought a string trimmer at Wally Mart it was hyper tough
Got no complaints about it but my biggest gripe is the batteries if you want spares they cost as much as the whole tool package like DeWalt or even Milwaukee or the other named cord less tool companies
Perfect timing since Bosch discontinued their 12v!
Is harbor freight planning on adding to their Bauer modular boxes? If not, I may look into the hyper tough system.
I think they already have a modular system out.
@@dylanstephens4179 yes. I have several of their items. I was just wondering if they had plans to expand on their line, if not what i seen in the hyper tough line intrigues me just enough that i might switch
"HyperStack" is kind of a catchy name for WalMart's new modular storage.
I’m retired from B&D so I still have DeWalt cordless, ten years old now
For anything else I recommend Ryobi to friends and Harbor Freight products too - both brands cover start out tools all the way to pro level
Be cool to see what Walmart comes up with
Honestly I have a hyper tough do to me buying a pair on ally express and they are fantastic for how long I’ve had them and been using them a lot they are the cordless ratchets
