Verstappen was UNLUCKY and absulutely screwed by the red flag during qualifying and then also slapped with a 5 place engine grid penalty through no fault of his own: P17 for the start. That was UNLUCKY!!!!!!! To then win the race from that much bad luck and P17 is pure brilliance. Verstappen has a race IQ, determination and skill level Norris can only dream of for the rest of his career.
The pit wall listens to Max Verstappen, that's the differerence. Only when GP Lambiase has better information, he changes his mind. The partnership is almost perfect! The best in Formula One...
When I first heard he wanted to pit, I thought he didn't have the information about leclerc being stuck. Then he decided to ask about it 3 more times even AFTER that information was given to him. Just sounded childish honestly
Lance was standing by the gravel including a tractor and personnel and all Lando and front runners got was a €5,000 fine? Wtf kind of penalty was that. They blow their nose with that amount of money. So ridiculous. You can’t even call that a slap on the wrist it was so weak.
Imagine if Max had done the same. FIA would have DSQ’ed him. I know Max had been on beneficiary side of FIA many times, but Lando yesterday literally endangered a driver, volunteer marshalls and himself but he gets €5k fine and a scold. Leclerc said F word one time, €10k fine. This week FIA was riding McLaren d*ck through and through. But Max still came on top and just shut down media, FIA and Lando’s championship contention if there even was one
I've been thinking a lot about that, and I get more and more confused and puzzled by it. They even wrote in their decision that this should not be taken as a precedent for future races, meaning that what Lando did SHOULD be penalized, but we're not going to for no apparent reason. Johnny Herbert settings, can't explain it any other way. The same with Mercedes's technical violation, just completely mystifying stewarding.
Typical penalty for entering a closed track is 10 second stop & go penalty. I think there was one this year. (Driver did not through the pits while the straight was closed)
@@kevikiruyes Vegas was one of the best races from last year. Sainz getting his car wrecked by a drain cover and free practice with no fans allowed was a joke, but the race itself was great
@@kevikiru Vegas was awesome, because the weather was too cold, and drivers were skating on ice basically lmao. It's the other side of the spectrum like qatar last time, where everyone was getting too hot.
I think George was brilliant, he maximized the package while his pitwall failed him as he was screaming to stay out while they insisted on boxing While Lando clearly had a poor reading to the race
You can discuss about a lot of rules but at the start it’s very simple. Green light: go make formation lap. Orange flashing lights are just NOT green. Nothing complicated about it. Like in traffic. Green is go, not green is not go. Where’s the complication?!?
The young Max Verstappen spent hours doing laps in Genk, rain or shine. His father tirelessly gave instructions on the wet karting track to cultivate a future world champion. The other young riders were already back inside during the rain. Then we can wonder whether his father was too strict or whether the other young riders were too soft.
I am sorry but you made a mistake in your WDOTR. To pick Lance Stroll is not on to be a serious nominee for that because Stroll did not take part in The Race. Technically this race did not start yet when he spun offff. A race only begins after it is underway after the: And Here We Go.
It was interesting that Verstappen didn't seem to have much issue with the car this weekend. It's very typical for him to be vocal about the balance or turn-in. I recall hearing one message about turn-in on the tyres, though I can't remember which session that came in. But even in very tricky conditions and on a track that was clearly physically uncomfortable for many drivers, he seemed happy, for want of a better word. I wonder whether RB have found something in the setup, or if it's just that the lower speeds masked the issues.
Besides Max being the best driver out there, it also was the "lack" of that ridiculous DRS system this race. DRS is only there to give "not-so-good" drivers a chance to overtake. This system should be banned.
Max is the best ever. Norris is not a killer!!! One thing about Max....now he's more driven to push more bounderies on everything, including the English press. 😂 The English press is just like a little cry baby sitting in the corner. They sure have made it clear to everyone that the can't handle it if it's not going there way. F1 is NOT english....it's for everyone. ❤
It was one by the best driver out there, Max that’s why he’s number one

Nothing better to listen the review from spotify and then watch it again and enjoy the good bits with facecams again here in youtube :) .
@@walkorrun love that, thanks so much for supporting us on both platforms! 💚

33:54 on the radio talk, Lando and his engineer had very poor communication on radio this weekend compared to likes of Max and GP

Best F1 podcast. I am glad I could find it.

Can you imagine a new fan, just saw that as their first race, really excited for the next one... and they get Vegas and Abu Dhabi snorefests.
1997 first
Last year's Las Vegas was awesome! It was expected to be boring but was great. Can't you remember the fight between the Red Bulls and Ferraris?

This is Sochi 2.0 for Lando, set up for massive points win and instead of listening to the Pit wall he argues and it once again costs him.
I think George was brilliant, he maximized the package while his pitwall failed him as he was screaming to stay out while they insisted on boxing

Best Sunday of F1 ever. Every weird F1 thing possible happening all at once was epic.
Liked 2003 race as an Irishman 😂
Lando stating that coming in was the best choice and that it was ‘stupid’ to stay out really says it all. Absolutely ridiculous !!.

Hows there a discussion for worst driver of the day?? Lance just owns that....
Ben!!! BRING BACK JUST THE MUSTACHE!!!! That things legendary!!
7:03 I am pretty sure Verstappen would agree with this.
How long are you guys positive about that single dutch man
Felipe has to become the son-in-law! ;-)
If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much !

Lando thunk would won in the dry
Because its wet, and they can ride lower.
The issues will re appear in the next race.

Bernd Mayländer got more race laps in than Lance Stroll.
Is it just me or lately it seems that Harry doesn’t really want to be here? Just seems uninterested. Cheer up mate ur wrecking the mood a bit 😢
I would much prefer to watch rather than listen, but why does it take almost 24hour for UA-cam upload ??
The championship was thwarted in Hungary. MCL squandered to many points. On the flip side they look great for the Constructors.
Yes at times but max fighting 2 teams by himself though to Be Fair.
