    Rhonda did a lovely job and I’m looking forward to trying this out when I get some some supplies. I printed on a t-shirt and a plain cotton bag with ink, using one of the IOD stamps, but haven’t tried colouring. Love the water colour technique! Thank you for the tutorial! Kind regards from Penny in Liverpool 🇬🇧😊💕

  • @lorieabraham272
    @lorieabraham272 3 роки тому

    Just so I got that right, you heat the ink, and then heat set again after you let the paint dry? are you sealing it with a product? By heat tool do you mean the heat blow tool? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Thank you for sharing! I love using the IOD Stamps💓💓

    • @IronOrchidDesigns
      @IronOrchidDesigns 3 роки тому

      Yes, (heat set after stamping with ink) and yes, (heat set again after you're done painting). 😆 No need to seal as the ink and paint are permanent after heat setting. Yes, the heat blow tool like this: amzn.to/3AH05iO (that's an affiliate link) - which also works great with embossing with stamps (if you're thinking about what else you'd use it for). So excited that you're going to try this technique, Lorie!

    Where can these blank scarves be found? I love your work!!

    • @IronOrchidDesigns
      @IronOrchidDesigns 3 роки тому

      You can find them on Amazon as well as at big box craft stores. Just look for something that's 100% cotton or other natural fiber such as linen. This technique also works on canvas shoes.

    Would this be too fragile to make napkins out of drop cloth if you use 100% cotton. I have some that I have bleached out.

    • @IronOrchidDesigns
      @IronOrchidDesigns 3 роки тому

      This would be fabulous for napkins! Just be sure to heat set and the design will camouflage any stains - bonus! If you want to see this with sunflowers, check out this tutorial by Rhonda: ua-cam.com/video/aHxaZgmz5tA/v-deo.html

    What's the best way to set the ink into the fabric? Can I use an iron???

    • @IronOrchidDesigns
      @IronOrchidDesigns 3 роки тому

      Yes! An iron works great, just make sure you give the ink 24 hours to fully dry. You could also use a crafting heat gun, direct sunshine works (e.g. dry the ink outside), or a high heat dryer for 15 minutes.
