    Goa is changing and the old charm of Goa is going 😢

      That's natural. Take this "Catholic" Goan Michelle for example. She married a BIMARU Hindu and had children with him. Then instead of moving to the husband's native place and following his culture there, she imports all these North Indians to Goa and pushes their culture around. (She replaced the traditional balcão of their house in Goa with a Thai Buddhist arrangement, that shows what she really believes.) She even transported the Jharkhand household help from Delhi to Goa, instead of hiring locally. This woman is one of the causes of Goa's problems and not the solution. Demographics is Destiny.

    Should I say something I personally feel only the Catholic Goans are ashamed to speak Konkani they feel their mother tongue has no value n should be spoken by illiterate people or in the remote areas of Goa Portuguese which. Was a tough language they used to somehow manage to speak especially in Cities like Panjim n Margao even today we like to speak English at home and not Konkani look at the Gujarathi.Commitee big business man of India at.home they speak mother tongue coz that is the value of a mother tongue

      Christian Goans don't speak fluent Konkani anymore because of Marathi interference in how Konkani is taught in Goan schools (Devanagari script and Antruzi dialect, instead of Roman script and Saxtti/Bardeshi dialect used by the native Catholic majority). This makes students drop Konkani at the earliest and focus on other languages.

    Goa was a great place and the goans were also very nice people. But things have changed in Goa. Its mosty the christian goans who dont speak fluent konkani as most of them moved out either to other parts of India or East Africa. I lived and worked in Margao, Goa from the early 70s. Very interesting video brings back memories of my earlier life in Goa.

      I'd appreciate it very much if you could explain why Michelle Mendonça married a BIMARU Hindu instead of another Catholic Goan, if being Goan is so important to her. More importantly, she doesn't have a claim to Goan identity after her BIMARU marriage and BIMARU children. Normal Goan society is patrilineal.

    As a non goan from Mumbai who strongly feels Goan by spirit and a regular visitor of the sunshine state, this podcast was such a fun one and a true testimony of the major changes Goa is going through. The Goa I saw pre- pandemic was so nice and calm, post pandemic I have seen the cultural change, sky rocketing prices of hotels, rentals and of local services along with the attitude. Also I am one of those visitors who loves the beautiful temples of Goa over the clubs, especially Tambdi Surla and Mangeshi temple. I truly pray Goa doesn't lose its essence and Goenkars fight to maintain the balance between culture and commerce #mogassu❤

      No, Goa's degradation has been taking place since the last century because of immigration from other states of India. Social media just makes people more aware about it.

      This interview doesn't ask any difficult questions. The "Catholic" Goan Michelle married a BIMARU Hindu surnamed Bambawale and had children with him. Instead of the Bambawale family moving to the husband's home state and following his culture there like a normal family, she imported all these North Indians to Goa (she even brought their Jharkhand servants from Maharashtra instead of hiring locally), and promoted their culture here (she replaced the traditional balcão of their house in Goa with a Thai Buddhist arrangement, that shows her real beliefs). She's basically a cause of Goa's problems (including environmental problems due to mass immigration) and not the solution. Demographics is Destiny.

    Nice interview Michelle. Informative and entertaining

    • @cg8397
      @cg8397 3 місяці тому

      No, Michelle Bambawale is dishonest. She claims to be a Catholic Goan but married a BIMARU Hindu and had children with him. Then she imports all these North Indians to Goa instead of moving to her husband's place and following his culture there. Even her Jharkhand household help was brought with her from Maharashtra to Goa. She's pushing for demographic replacement of Goans by her actions. She can talk about her love for nature all she wants, but mass immigration from other states is the major cause of Goa's environmental problems. So she's not the solution to Goa's problems, but one of its causes.

      No, Goans were foolish enough to be polite and tolerant to all migrants who showed their faces in Goa (including this Michelle's BIMARU family). Normal societies across India (e.g. Maharashtra, Kerala) would unite to drive away intruders instead of making the migrants believe they could bring the rest of their own people to that place.

    You know why Goans are upset with these "outsiders" (we welcome those who want to live alongside Goans) is because they come with that attitude that they have the "money" to buy the Town Planning Authorities to change land use in Goa to suit them and that is happening at a very fast pace, and they do not realise that because of this they are changing Goa for the worse which will be irreversible. Goa will not be Goa and then these "outsiders" will just move on to another State or country with their money.. But the damage will remain. We are worried. Really worried. Imagine Goa without it's beautiful hills, orchards and fields.

    • @cg8397
      @cg8397 3 місяці тому

      "We welcome those who want to live alongside Goans" is the first mistake made by Goans, because Indians in other states are only too happy to crush outsiders. Indians from other states want to escape their own Third World places, so they're flooding into Goa with the help of liberals like this Michelle. But Goa doesn't have Magic Dirt and so the migrants are terraforming Goa into the places they moved from. Demographics is Destiny.

      No, this woman is a feku and normal Goans can see it plainly. The "Catholic" Goan author married a BIMARU Hindu and had children with him. Instead of the family moving to his home state and following his culture there like a normal family, she imported all these North Indians to Goa (she even brought their Jharkhand servants from Maharashtra instead of hiring locally), and promoted their culture here (she replaced the traditional balcão of their house in Goa with a Thai Buddhist arrangement, that shows her real beliefs). Fekus like her are basically a cause of Goa's problems (including environmental problems due to mass immigration) and not the solution. Demographics is Destiny.

      There nothing wholesome about this episode, it doesn't ask any difficult questions. The "Catholic" Goan author married a BIMARU Hindu and had children with him. No, she has to go back to Delhi, and take her North Indian family as well as her North Indian servants with her.
