Thanks for the video. One suggestion though. Maybe after each step show a close up picture of what it should look like before moving on to next step. Great video
I have a Bison wire forming tool. It is similar but this tool in the video is a much better design. The bison doesn't hold the tag end you have to hold it yourself. It doesn't do nice tight knots like this either. Avoid the bison. Just buy this Worth wire forming tool.
Hi, This tool is made by the Worth Co and can only turn wire up to 0.024inch. I believe that other manufacturers may make tools that can accommodate larger diameter wire.
@@CONRANCAT Alright pal 🙋👍 where can i buy one of these + the wire, blades, beads and clevis parts? Thanx in advance from a fellow Scott 😆 p.s How much are the wire forming tools? Great vid btw 💯👌💙🎣
The rubber body is actually only made by a company in England called Spintec. It is the best body for a flying c made by anyone. They can be bought through there website and I believe eBay.
Hi I used a DO-IT trolling sinker mould. Model str-5-a Instead of adding swivels into the moulding process I used sections of bicycle spoke to create the hole down the centre, pulling the spoke out as soon as the lead was poured. Hope that makes sense! Mike
@@CONRANCAT hi mate I've bought the 0.031 stuff and it feels too thick for the tool so far out of 6 flying Cs I've made the wire broke when forming the loop at the end of 3 of them, I have a feeling the tool is too tight for this wire.
@CONRANCAT update on comment above, I rammed a flathead screwdriver in the gap a bit at a time till the wire slid in easily and I've just done 10 with no issues 🤞
Hi Thanks for the comment. I use a belt punch to make a hole in the middle of the rubber where I want the tail to end. I then use a steel ruler to flatten the rubber with one end so you can see the hole right through the rubber and the other where the tail is to finish, I then use a Stanley knife to cut the rubber. ( the blades don’t last long ) If it needs cleaned up I use a pair of tungsten carbide scissors. Hope this helps
Thank you,Great video, you've made it understandable, try following the instructions that come with the tool printed on a postage stamp size piece of paper!!, Where did you buy those barrel weights for the flying C's?? look like they are the perfect shape for me.thanks again,,a fellow Scott 🎣
Thanks for the video. It's the only one I've found so far that truly shows how to use the tool. Very well done.

David Hicks Hi you probably should send it back for replacement. I have had several of these and have never had any problems with the pin.

Hey man where did you get your lead spinner body mold?

great video and tidiest tails I have seen cut into the body. What do you use to cut them?

What is the preferred wire diameter
I would hate to read the instruction booklet. Thank God for UA-cam.
Can you read Chinese? Lol
Where can I buy the parts👌
subbed....good video
What size wire shaft are you using?
0.024 inch wire
@@CONRANCAT is that size maximum for the tool?
Hi Jordan, Yes I believe so but the instructions with the tool will confirm that.
Bnas tardes. Me regala por favor información para conseguirla. (Medellín)
Where did you get the rubber and the tails?
Hi
The tales are made from latex and are from a company called spintec their website is www.spintec.co.uk
Mike

John Burns I modified a trolling sinker mould made by Do-it to make my weights for the flying c’s
@@CONRANCAT Thank you, much appreciated
How do you get the rubber in the weight
If you cover the weight with silicon oil you can slide the rubber/latex over the weight
Thank you! :)
Will this tool form wire bigger than .024? Like .030-.035?
No but other makes might
when you turn the wire at the end, it pulls the wire in to the slots and breaks it every time.
Hi it sound like you are using wire that’s too thick for the tool. Check your using the right diameter wire.
