Thanks Lucy for another lovely podcast. It’s great sitting and chatting craft with you (yes I do comment on things out loud 😊). Also don’t have a garden at the moment so it’s lovely to share yours 🥰. Btw I can confirm what you say about the hat. I bought the rust one, it’s lovely to crochet and so comfy to wear!!!! Thanks again for the chat x
What a lot of work knocking down the shed and moving the gravel, but the final sitting area is wonderful, and hopefully everyone is happy their hard work paid off.
Thank you Lucy for your enjoyable podcast. About your buddleia....... you have done exactly the right thing. Buddleias have to be pruned hard every year . I have five ,one at home and four in my allotment borders, and they are all cut back. They recover very quickly and have more flowers. Fun Fact ....buddleias are illegal in some parts of US state of Oregon. Xxxxx
Thank you!! Monty Don told me it was ok - and I’d researched it too - it just looked a bit brutal!!! 😂 How bizarre that they are banned / maybe due to an excessive pollen count - I found that with another plant I researched - I think it was the Mulberry tree!
Hi Lucy, I think it’s because they are so invasive. There have been several example locally.......the abandoned Vaux site in the City centre became covered in them and a couple of Summers ago ,the Metro bank sides between the City centre and Park Lane had a Buddleia jungle. Xxx
