All of AQA Forces and Motion Explained - GCSE 9-1 Physics REVISION

- This video is a summary of all of AQA Forces and Motion, explained for GCSE Physics 9-1. You can use this as an AQA Forces and Motion revision tool. We cover scalars, vectors, forces, equations, circular motion, pressure, distance-time graphs, velocity-time graphs, elasticity, work done, weight, Newton's Laws, stopping distance, momentum and density. There is too much to even summarise in the description but some of the important bits are:
Quantities are split into scalars and vectors, scalars just have size whereas vectors have size and direction. Forces, which are vectors, can be split into contact (friction, drag, tension etc.) and non-contact forces (gravity, electrostatic, magnetic). Forces are measured in newtons, N.
Two or more forces acting on an object are combined to give the resultant force acting on the object. A single force acting at an angle on an object can be resolved into its different components.
Weight = mass x acceleration due to gravity, W = mg
Work done = force x distance, W = Fs
Force on a spring = elastic coefficient x extension, F = ke
Distance and speed are scalars but displacement, velocity and acceleration are vectors. Both distance and displacement are denoted by s. Both speed and velocity are denoted by v.
v = s/t and s = vt. a = (v-u)/t = Δv/t.
Momentum is the "amount of motion" that an object possesses. Momentum = mass x velocity, p = mv. Force is defined as the rate of change of momentum, F = dp/dt.

Lewis

"Hopefully there's been something here thats useful," my maaan.... ALL OF ITS BEEN USEFUL!!!!!
I have my physics assessment on forces in a few minutes (at home) and this was so useful for last minute :) thank you so much
Shouldn't be texting then
MY GUY U ARE A LIFESAVER. CURRENTLY DOING SOME LAST MINUTE REVISION AT 1AM FOR MY PHYSICS EXAM
I did an exam on the first 4 topics a couple weeks ago and now I have a final assessment on forces. Your other videos helped me a lot so I hope this one helps get me good Mark!
90% hell yeah!
That's awesome!
OMG thank you so much for this! i find physics SO HARD and never pay attention in lessons, but i have an exam tomorrow and im stressing. This was such a massive help! Thank youuuu!!!!!!
ksi
holy crap this would've taken me 2 days to do... my man just summed it up in 25 mins thank you sirr (got an exam tomorrow as well)
genuinely the most useful gcse video ive ever seen
i have my physics exam in two days. This was very helpful thank you
If only you were my physics teacher, mine is no where near as good
My one couldn’t even teach 💀💀
forget that, mine couldnt even speak english properly 💀💀💀
fr 😭
Great video! Thanks a lot for it, it really helped :)
Again, my guy over here with the literal best videos ever so clear and concise and great for brushing up especially with forces being one of my weaker topics. Thank you once again my man, way better than freesciencelessons, he is good for biology and chemistry but his physics videos are very long :(
Your channel is actually the best! Physics is my favourite subject and I now use your channel along with my regular revision!
if you have time , please do it for a level physics , its really helpful
nice car on your momentum video on ur website - that number plate is sick too!
WOW just WOW thats All what I can say
Maybe weird request but what are those pens that you use called? They look really nice 👍
...............aired
Pretty sure they're just Sharpies...
Pilot V Sign Pen
Thank you this very helpful. Im going to do some practice questions on momentum later and this helps a base understanding 👍👍
This is a very helpful resource
Bro ur a life saver
Thank you so much!
This is soooooo helpful. Thank you
This was so helpful thank you so much
This is so helpful. I have mocks today
Literally save my life, big this guy up
Very handy for note making, currently revisng for my RAF airman test and is helping loads! :)
That awesome. I used to work with the RAF quite a bit and their TACPs (I was a JTAC in the army at the time).
@@PhysicsOnline Oh nice one! Did you enjoy it? I originally applied for the army but since they’ve had the defence cuts, they’re not recruiting til next year
I loved it. I met some of the best people I’ve ever worked with in the forces - and I got to put into into practice for real on the front line in Afghanistan.
@@PhysicsOnline Oh wow that’s pretty cool that you were actually putting skills into practice!
you are incredible, thank you so much!!!!!! definitely purchasing a premium plan on your website!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Hi lewis i was trying to find a video explaining the inverse square law on your website. i couldnt seem to find one, could you please make a video explaining the princpals as it would be very much appreciated
Thank you so much- your videos help a lot!. i have my exam tomorrow but i wish i knew about your channel sooner
If you’re doing A Level you’ll know about it from the beginning though. Good luck.
Very handy for quick revision
I really enjoy your videos and they’re really helpful, I’m currently doing edexcel ias physics could you please put a video out on the core practicals , and thank you very much
Hey, i'm finding this really helpful for revising for my mocks so thank you! Can you recommend any similar channels that explain chemistry and biology simply for gcse? thanks x
I always use free science lessons for biology
science shorts
it’s been 2 years, how did it go?
@@carbonbasedlifeform7171 i never had to do my gcses! :/ #covid... Grateful for that ngl, but now doing a levels and its hard stuff. Pulling thru tho
@@mooimacow9533 well u can do it :)
Thank you so much this is so helpful👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Which of the examples mentioned in this video are scaler and vector quantities?????
Thank you :)
For the force diagram, make sure your arrows touch the circle, you will lose all your marks if you dont
Thanks
So good
is this for triple science or combined?
does this cover everything aqa physics requires you to know
Yes
with the apple example at the start then can't the normal contact force also be called the upthrust of an object?
No, upthrust is for objects in a fluid
This is really good thank you
Hi, does this video include triple content? Thank you :)
Yes it does, anything written in blue.
This was literally exc
ellent
Hii can they ask in the exam for examples of vector and scalar quantaties
yes
damola shofoluwe thanks m8

Rip to the spring he fractured just for our understanding purpose
"and this is the reason that things like shit float in water" bruh haahahaha 10:10
he said ships my man
@@kola7483 yhh hahah
here as an edexel student :)
Wow
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Literal GCSE tomorrow 😭
I think you forgot to discuss inertia. ANYWAYS informative video. THANKS
Is this for separate?
so pascal is the gecko from rapunzel...killer pascals lol
this makes so much sense but i just don’t understand it😩😭😭
Why does he sound like Boris Johnson
THIS ISN'T STAR WARS!!
