ALMADA MARINA - The unique infrastructures (former shipyard) and location in a high density populated area are some of the factors for the development of the only planned Marina on the south bank of river Tagus. Success factors for this Marina are the landscape overlooking Lisbon, the excellent natural conditions with riverbed stability, sheltered from prevailing wind and waves and also the natural river depth.
The Water City should rise as a new Lisbon tourist destination with Hotels and a Conventions Center by the River Tagus.
The property is currently owned by the Portuguese State and the future owner should acquire the property and develop this new Lisbon South urban area, according to the approved plan (Almada Nascente Urbanization Plan), designed by Architect Richard Rogers with WS Atkins.
