Crazy how Michael Keaton went from playing Beetlejuice to Batman about a year or so later two very different characters yet Keaton killed it playing both. Both movies are Burton masterpieces with phenomenal acting and amazing Elfman soundtracks.

To the credit of the writers who were working on one, they were definitely trying to go in a wild different direction with it, instead of repeating the old setup.
Oh, not unlike our un-dead protagonist, Hollywood never lets ANYTHING rest in peace, even if it was the most perfect self-contained masterpiece that God, Himself, created, they'll find a way to drudge it up from the grave, dust it off, and then toss it out on the streets to go make some money. I wouldn't doubt they're scheming up ways as we speak to chop up and fk up this movie to re-release it as a re-boot, a sequel, a prequal, limited series, or hell, even a bio-pic or super hero franchise! They MUST squeeze every ounce of money, mystery and wonder they can from every story that has ever been told so that even Dracula is like, "now just wait a minute!" This is one of the Laws of the Universe. 🙄🙄🙄🙄😑😑

Michael Keaton would have made a kickass Joker. But then he'd essentially have been playing the same character. Beetlejuice is basically a supernatural Joker. He wreaks havoc for the lulz.
Yes, I remember reading somewhere how originally Beetlejuice was a lot darker and was a straight horror movie and they ended up doing a bunch of re-writes on the film until they came up with what we now know of as today Beetlejuice... and thank God, because I love Beetlejuice, its still one of my favorite movies, that along with Edward Scissorhands and its just coincidence that they both happen to be Tim Burton movies..

Lots of trailers from the 90’s and 2000’s always used this theme when conveying said tone for their horror comedies and supernatural comedies at the time. Heck when The Mask was being worked on, the workprint used music from Beetlejuice to show the studio what type of film they wanted especially to composer Randy Edelman.
I honestly have no idea how people can dislike this theme. It's easily one of Elfman's top 3 that he's done in one of Burton's all time best films. Some people..baffle me.

A few years ago, my school offered a Thorpe park trip to students who went a year without detentions. Because it was a normal school day, there was barely anyone at the theme park. One of the smaller rides has this as the music while you ride it, and because there was no lines, me and my mates just stayed on for ages. That's a great memory that's triggered every time I hear this piece.
I loved it when they played this theme as the Beetlejuice show was starting at universal Florida :( what a shame they got rid of it for a fast and furious ride.

I Saw Beetlejuice Beetlejuice a Few Weeks Ago At The Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas It Was Awesome And Watched The Old School Beetlejuice Cartoon on TUBI In a Loop also It Just Brings out That Nostalgia Factor To it.
I found out that in original storyboards, the spider we see climbing over the Maitland's model house at the start of the film was meant to be let loose on the model during the opening credits. This theme would have went perfectly for that, as the spider runs along the roads and over the houses.
This is definitely one of my top five favorite movies of all time, and this is THE best movie theme to date, IMO! I just bought tickets to see the Broadway show on the Labour Day weekend, I'm so excited!
