Scully would be right up there on the list of players who made the most money while being absolutely worthless. That deal was even disgusting by Fremantle standards and they are the kings of terrible trades
worthless yet he has the most kms per game of any player of the last 15 years or so? hes an elite runner and in his prime he was a great player??? overpriced but not worthless. u have no ball knowledge
As a freo supporter it hurts me seeing we traded away both Hodge and Mitchell in one trade, but I cant picture either of them at any other club than the hawks.
if deledio doesn’t leave, tiges don’t have the cap space to get dion prestia, who was arguably the missing piece in that richmond side. Plus after years of Richmond mediocrity he was according to some quite cynical and wouldn’t even talk to new players after having seen so many failed prospects pass through the club’s doors.
You missed an important part of the Jack Watts story. He had just found a new role on half back and was really looking like a new player in that role. It was like 2 games later he got badly injured and never returned. I always felt it was a very sad way to end a career that could have had a really nice conclusion without that injury.
They screwed up a lot over that period of time. But I never understood the later on criticism at them taking him over nic nat. Watts was the consensus number 1 at the time, they would have been crucified if they didn't take him, and it was the right call at the time, no one was really sure if nic nat would actually be good. And they certainly didn't do enough for him
@@biggi3st3v3 I also got the impression that Nick Nat would not have been happy with Melbourne and pull a Luke Jackson and go straight back to Western Australia.
Would you still have that same opinion if he was picked at 60? Played almost 200 games and kicked 150 goals over the 10 years he played. If he wasn't picked at no.1 most would say it was a successful career
Ah memories, used to live and breathe footy back then! Plus the footy cards brought more nostalgia. Then the Hawks back to back to back. Good times…

Yeah. That was a once in a lifetime offer. He was in the right place at the right time.

Terrible call, bloke made several all Australian squads at the Giants, was just ruined by injury
He definitely wasn't worthless, he was one of the games best athletes when in form. Not sure you watched him play enough.

Unlucky for delaido to leave the tigers just before they won there 3 primerships
butterfly effect
Great player for the Tiges. He had to leave in 2016-17 because Richmond were a basket case. Such a shame he missed the fllags.

wattsy was always my fav as a kid and i cried for days when he left us
Great vid kaleen
Fair to say best no1 pick ever is either Riewoldt or Luke hodge I’m gonna go with hodge
Harley Reid
I dunno, Seems like Harley Reid is ganna live up to the expectation
Proof that tanking for picks is counter-productive.
Great video
Incredible, the only one with a flag is Hodge.
I guess because they're usually going to a bottom of the ladder team
@ex0ja Ya look at Carlton and Melbourne, though, who had all those picks and did nothing for their rebuild.
@@stevennottle5832 Melbourne won a flag and my Blue boys are still rebuilding We expect to finish that around 2050.

I feel sorry for Jack Watts. Such a talented player, but Melbourne screwed up his development path.

Good video

Riewoldt had the worst possible start to his career
Being drafted by St Kilda**
Legit went in order from best and longest careers to shorter careers and failures
1st ❤️ Hodgey
What was your old name before Kaleen
Where was scot Pendlebury?
How many #1 picks have played in a premiership at the team that drafted them?
Bonza living the dream😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Makes me cringe when you refer to Aussie Rules players wearing jerseys. In our code it’s either a jumper or a guernsey!!
Jersey is just as widely acceptable in Australia champ
@@unkyD No it is def not..

Rewaldt or hodge for me

Great video but wow the way you read is a bit painful to listen to
Jack watts should of been drafted pick 60. Was just useless
