Morrissey is one of those singer/songwriters you either love or hate...there's no in-between...I think he has put out some great albums since You are the Quarry...Years of Refusal is another one, especially the songs 'Something is Squeezing my Skull' and 'Throwing my Arms around Paris' - love that last song very much...
I've been listening to. "Number one" by jane inc. "New long leg" by dry cleaning "Tempo" by dom la nena "Aquianted with night" by leal neale and a bunch of tom waits and the track "whole new mess" by angel olson.
I don’t think it necessarily diminishes a band when they sign to a major label but what DOES happen usually is I get pissed off at all the Johnny Come Latelys because it then becomes that much harder to buy tickets to see said band lol
Loved 1st album K....but then everyone knows how much I like screams....he's a great singer totes disagree 😳🧐 though I agree he can over do it....Joe said if he learned when not to screech it would improve many songs...I'd agree with that

Steinman famously almost ruined Def Leppard's Hysteria, where he was briefly brought in as producer. According to the band he had all sorts of crazy ideas and would do stuff like order one of everything on the menu when they got lunch and demanding that they replace the carpet in the studio.
I agree with your assessment on Dinosaur Jr (3,5 stars) and that it is very much the same as the previous one. The first two albums after the reunion were really amazing but now they repeat the formula - which is not bad because it is a great formula. But it reminds me a bit of Motorhead or UFO in the way that they nearly always released good albums, only you got exactly what you expected. Previously the dinosaurs were always good for some surprise.
I thought the character's name was "Quilloughby"...that episode was hilarious. And the animators nailed Johnny Marr's look and so many other details. You could tell that the entire episode was, actually, created out of love for Morrissey and the Smiths. As far as Nugent is concerned, I think Joe said it better than I ever could - you can't underestimate stuff like this at any age.
That would be true of many musicians, but Ted claims to have never used drugs or alcohol. Sometimes hard to believe he wasn't cooked up with his amped up live banter though, lol.
I honestly didn't know Meat Loaf's discography was as big as it is. The only songs I've ever heard of his are off Bat Out of Hell or "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" from Bat Out of Hell 2, or that song from Rocky Horror Picture Show. I just always assumed he released Bat Out of Hell and faded into obscurity for 15 years, then released Bat out of Hell 2.
I listened to the new London Grammar album 'Californian Soil', but I can't recommend it. I gave it two stars. It is not bad, but overall not very interesting. It has some Massive Attack influence in there, but really a soft, dreamy version of Massive Attack. Most of the songs sounds the same, there's is only a few standouts. The singer's got a good voice though.
Thank you for the Supergrass warning...so all of you are big fans. I had just planned to revisit two remaining albums that I had not listened to since the year of release but I will skip that. It will be no fun to spoil your sweet 90s memories...
The video for the original version of It's All Coming Back to Me Now by Pandora's Box is something else. If you haven't watched it you should (it is pretty NSFW though).
At this point, I sort of just think Ted Nugent's brand is trying to be controversial. His target audience is now the people that might be inclined to join a militia and not necessarily people who thought "Journey to the Center of the Mind" was a pretty good song. Basically, his opinion on anything is the opposite of what a normal, rational person might say. I'm sure his devotees think the government replaced him with a lizard-person or something now that he's accepted COVID-19 is a real thing than can potentially kill you, even if you're a clean livin' guy like Uncle Ted.
Squid will release an album in 2 weeks. I'm pretty hyped for it, because that single 'Narrator' is fantastic. My song of the year so far. It's an interesting funky Post-Punk number and there is also a Radiohead-esque section in that song. Well written that one.
It's better than a 3 Joe....Def at least 4 star....listened 4 or five times now and it's better every time...cd through the door the other day....nice embossed inlay landscape too😂.....good signs... but GVF aside I'm looking forwards to Chvrches record despite middling single release this week....loved God Speed You Black Emporer album 10/10
Bi weekly is fine. there are plenty of video's for us to see Bi Weekly is fine. was Ted Nugent wearing a Mask out and about? Joes right look at the people vs Larry Flynt Joe's correct.. sorry to hear about Steinman? Guns n roses before Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Def Leppard why? yes Side 3's have been very cool.
I think Joe should be forced to listen to Pere Ubu's "The Modern Dance" and comment on the use of "radiator steam" as a viable instrument. I will continue to comment in a non sequitur fashion and you have to put up with me because I have actually watched every minute of all your videos. And because Physical Graffiti is my all-time favorite album--by far!
Supergrass are ok...I listened two of their albums often through student days....one of those bands I lost interest in unfortunately...but I've got my guns out for Guns!!!😉😅
Have you guys, heard of the band Dirty Honey?? They’re not necessarily my style musically .. but you may, see them as a welcome alternative to the over saturated hype that is Greta Van Fleet
@@ryankramzer1256 apparently the dirty honey, that released Something to Believe in last year is a different band than the LA based band who had their full length debut record release just this past week .. though you may, have been referring to the LA band’s previous EP that dropped in 2019
Hey Guys, great Channel! if you are looking for a good retro blues hard Rock Band from recent years check out the Swedish Band Graveyard if you haven´t already! good Albums are Hisingen Blues or Lights out! They have 5 Albums released since 2007, fine Band!

I've been listening to the newest Altarage album Succumb.
Sad day when GVF gets a higher album ranking than the new Dinosaur Jr. Appreciate the lists nonetheless. Keep it up.
Only 1/3 of us feel that way. -Jason
Only I feel that way. I’ll take the heat. - Joe
10:08 I wouldn’t say it ‘hurt them’, but I’d argue THE SAMPLES were better on their indie label.

When it comes to REM, there is no doubt... IRS years over the major label years, anyday everyday.
World Peace is None of Your Business was a good Morrissey album - 2015 or so...
No way
@@ryankramzer1256 better than you are the quarry.
Smiler With Knife - maybe best ever morrissey

It should be said most all the Morrissey business came from his manager, not him. Not that it matters.
You should listen to the new Godspeed you! Black Emperor album G_d's Pee AT STATE'S END! It is the best new release I have listened to this year.
I might, but I’m afraid because I don’t like them much. - Joe
Where were the album covers and star rating graphics for what Kramzer listened to? 🤔
I’ll be honest, I ran out of time in the editing process. - Joe
I’d love to see a ranking the albums for meat loaf would be interesting.
Me too. Not too much suspense at #1.
