I didn´t knew the word Pánfilo came from this conquistador, in spanish, pánfilo its a way to call a dumb person, usually one with good intentions. So, in a way, he got the reknown he always wanted.
11:18 So, I’m not from Tampa, I’m from Central Florida and closer to Orlando, but still…I’m a baseball fan. The funny thing is I don’t think there are a lot of Rays fans here in Central Florida; most of the baseball fans in this part of the state are either Red Sox, Yankees, or Atlanta fans. (Yeah, not so many Marlins fans in this part of the state either.)
This went from a comedy-adventure. To a literal HORROR movie. I feel bad for Narvaez, despite his utter incompetence and... being a colonizer. Also figured it out. Only hint I'm giving people is: Gaul.
It was clear that Panfilo hung the toilet paper under rather than over, otherwise he wouldn't have experienced one of the worst expeditions in the Spanish conquest of the new world.
Actually, here in Spain nowadays the word "pánfilo" was/is used as an insult, to mock someone who is stupid, useless, and doesnt know their way around. So, in a way, he was actually remembered :)

This was a masterclass of animation and popular history. I think you do a good job of communicating just how dumb and reckless a lot of the early colonial period was.
