Did you know that we have committed to creating 10 times more wood than we consume in our studio monitors and subwoofers, by planting new trees at scale?

ADAM Audio was founded in March 1999 in Berlin. Since then the company has been developing, manufacturing and distributing loudspeakers in the field of Professional Audio.
The development of the X-ART (eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology) tweeter based on the 1960’s invention of the Air Motion Transformer by Oskar Heil was largely responsible for the company’s founding. Producing sound not with a piston-like diaphragm as is done in most of the loudspeakers that are on the market, but using a pleated diaphragm that is capable of moving the air 4 times faster than the folds themselves are moving was the appealing idea behind it all. The achieved results were intriguing and gave ample reason for moving forward.

    Hello. I have studio monitors
ADAM A7V and SSL2+ audio interface, when I turn up the volume to about a little less than half, the monitors start to light up golden even though they are at 0 db, although the power reserve is still huge, then I turn up the volume and they light up purple. Does this harm the monitors in any way and is it possible to listen with a gold or purple indicator?

Why so many worries for a product that's never gonna see a landfill?

I am a huge fan of ADAM Audio equipment. Unfortunately I have to disagree on anyone having a zero carbon footprint at any point. In reality a dead, decaying body gives off methane gas.
I'm not trying to be negative, just realistic. I am not only a musician and audio tech and enthusiast, I am also an avid outdoorsman. I camp, fish, hunt, and enjoy everything nature has to offer. I do all I can to preserve our precious planet, and to also help improve what is already being done. Going 100% green isn't a reality. The science behind energy will back that up. Energy has to come from something, and no matter what the source is, there will be a carbon footprint.
I don't like to get into the politics of these things. It isn't good for business. I wish all corporations would realize that political agendas, beliefs, and beyond do not sell a product, they divide the customer base.
ADAM and Focusrite, please do not take my comment as offensive. I love your equipment. I appreciate your green enthusiasm. It just isn't something we discuss in any musical environment I am a part of.

Unfortunately, manufacturing of (virtually all) electronics is currently environmentally unsustainable, and on a business level, this is a major risk that we are already seeing the direct impacts of around the world, and something we need to take action on so we can continue doing what we love doing for years to come.
Our goal isn't for zero carbon footprint, but Net Zero which has important differences. This means we are aiming to achieve above 90% reduction in emissions compared to today, and then the remaining 10% will be exceptionally difficult to reduce, so would need high-quality robust carbon capture to offset. This is different from Carbon Neutral, which is our interim 2030 goal on the way to Net Zero where any emissions left over we will offset, regardless of the percentage reductions achieved so far. We're working on a Net Zero target over the next few years.
Our aim with sharing the progress here is also to inspire other companies to follow suit, as asking customers to reduce their footprint isn't helpful if lower carbon products aren't available. Making initial material swaps like this is relatively easy, eliminates pollution, and reduces carbon emissions quickly, something that can't happen fast enough to help avoid the worst effects of climate change.
Thanks for watching, we really appreciate your feedback and interest in this matter.
      All the best,
      Andy Land

I have done extensive research on this topic - what you can’t say - understandably is that corporations are beholden to blackrock and soon - even lending will come with all the sustainability hoops to jump through
Basically the companies that don’t play ball = no capital investment.
If we care about “sustainability” then - we would not have to fight so hard for right to repair and products that are designed and engineered to last 20+ years
It can be done: my grandmother had the same stove for 30 years; she had the same Sony Trinitron TV for 20+ years.
The main reality here is that income streams have limitations and companies can only develop so much growth organically before they go the evil route of subscription models and pay as you go.
This is why I think an easy solution would be something like what SVS does:
They do transferable warranties and they have an upgrade marketplace.
Those two alone drive both confidence and reputation in a positive manner
Plate amps manufactured in China - where there are close to zero environmental and labor standards is a topic worthy of debate.
I understand that the US made poor policy decisions by getting rid of foundries so we cannot even manufacture our own magnet structures let alone internal components.
Overall I am skeptical once I start peeling the onion back on the 2030 goals and the carrot and stick methods being used by the UN.
Rebranding as “Stakeholders” and utilizing other words that hide agendas is weak sauce
The cat is out of the bag now. People have figured out that it really isn’t about saving the planet but moreso using existential issues as leverage to bring in a “4th Industrial Revolution” where privacy, ownership, and freedom are all being eroded in some effort to save the planet but in reality it simply will move capital from the working class to the 600 Corporations or “stakeholders”
If we cared about the environment then there would be more openness on topics such as:
      Right to repair
Scoring models on longevity for consumer electronics
Smaller modular safe nuclear power solutions
Methane emissions- 100’s of times worse than co2 - yet - close to zero conversation
Overall as you can tell - I am skeptical. I was in finance for 13 years. I know what the big players like the BIS and IMF are up to.
To me the sustainability thing is just a way to hide agendas and preserve oligopoly and monopoly status while convincing the bernays trained public that they should give up their standard of living all while the “stakeholders” gain control/wealth
Covid is a wonderful example: $3.5 trillion moved from the working class to the top 500 corporations
      Also:
Blackrock has 5% investment shareholder power on 100% of the corporations on the S&P 500… this leads to a chair on the board and extortion techniques to push his ESG game ( Larry is now trying to not use that term because the general public is onto his grift).
Overall I would like to see corporations diversify their capital investment resources so they cannot be strong armed by some pretty evil individuals.
      Just my opinion 😀
On a positive note: I ordered to T5v’s and I am pairing with an unconventional Kali Audio w6-2 for basic desktop audio.
Both of my made in china plate amps on my two pairs of M-Audios died after 7 years of use… now where are they going to go?
