here’s some tips!
- put some lights in the kids room!!! the kids also need toys or musical instruments to get their fun and some skills up!
- buy a hot tub and put it on the balcony.
- to change the shape of counters (to get end pieces etc.), choose the counter you want and go to the colour selection and there will be a button which is shaped like two cogs - click it and all the different counter shapes are there.
- make sure when you do the family room to put the main furniture (sofa, coffee table etc.) in the centre of the room. it makes the room feel and look more cosy and it fills the space!

Tips/comments/notes
1. To change the household name, when you're in manage worlds (when you first open the game before you click on the household), click on the house then the little i in the corner of the screen and change where it says Landgraab (don't freak out when the baby isn't in the family photo, they don't appear until they age up)
2. To change the foundation of the house, in build mode when you see the little picture of a house click on the space just above where it shows the money in build mode.
3. Hold shift when painting or flooring to paint/floor the whole room.
4. To erase what you've just done click the unto button at the top of the screen or ctrl+z
5. When you were placing the counters the corner didn't work because the other counter was in between two tiles.
6. There is no way to disable snapping on a window but you can on any other object by holding alt

Please put in a dishwasher, microwave etc on the kitchen counters. Kids can sort their own food then. Also don’t forget to include a little study area when you make the lounge, have a bookcase and computer and desk etc so the kids can do their homework

i’m not a sims player but just a few design ideas that might look nice:
- all the beds to look out at the view (facing windows) so you can see the views
- you need to add a ceiling light in for the kids rooms
- move the oven over a bit so it’s aligned in the square so the counter on the corner wont be odd.
- rugs for the bedrooms (if I remember correctly) we’re in the bedroom bit at the end of the bed
- add some accent walls to the bedrooms (pops of colour or neutral on only one wall of a bedroom)
- also the kids might want a quicker access to a bathroom unless they use the normal one
- kids will need toys in their rooms (looking from other comments) or a nice thing would be to create a play room
- for the deck have steps down to a lower deck or somewhere where you can jump into the sea
- have sliding glass doors to get onto the deck with floor to ceiling windows beside them
also the bathroom was an archway not a door so the water from the shower might get into the bedroom and you might want more privacy.
loving this design sooo much though! might just buy sims to build a house! you both should become house designers and this is defiantly the highlight of my day 😂 x

Some building tips:
-You didn't get a corner cabinet in the kitchen because you placed the oven half a tile to the left initially. Move the oven and fridge one half tile to the right (and all of the counters along the wall) and add one more counter in the corner, which will then snap to a perfect corner.
-Change the foundations/stilts by clicking on the foundation under the styled rooms on the build menu, it's just left of the place you click to get the wall tool.
-Don't forget to decorate the outside walls and roof the new rooms. You now have an island themed straw roof - basically a thatched roof option!
-You can't move windows and doors freely. Place furniture around them so they match as you can't move windows to match the counters for example.
-You can get objects in the middle of your kitchen island: first place the flowers on the island and put bb.moveobjects on. Then move the counter pieces away but remember where the centre would be. Click on the flowers holding ALT and put them where the centre of the island should be. The flowers should stay at the right height. Move the island pieces back under the flowers et voila, flowers in the middle of the island.
-Take Nancy's urn out of your inventory so her ghost can get out.
-Please give your kids some toys, this is their time and they need to play. 😂
-Don't forget you need a space for your UA-cam desk Joe, maybe build a pier out with a shed at the end?
-Is the only mirror in the kids room?
-For the living space, definitely the big sliding glass doors in white! A foosball table in the hall. Big round coffee table, comfy sofas and a few toys so it looks lived in. BBQ outside with a seating area and as you're so rich now, got to buy a boat.

11:24 you can get the stilts in the ‘foundation’ part of the house diagram in build mode ( bottom left) 👍🏼

• You didn’t put any ceiling lights in the girls room
• Keep in mind, if you use the “bb.moveobjects” cheat you might not be able to use somethings that are in an awkward place for your sims to get to
Loving the series, you’re really keeping everyone’s spirits up during lockdown so honestly thanku so much x
TIP: If you go into the counters click on the swatches and then there will be a little like settings sign and you can pick corner counters and different island pieces so that the flowers can go in the middle also love the series xx
Please please please put a ceiling light in the kids room, it will be so much brighter at night time because those 2 lamps don't give off much light!!! Loving the sims videos
i love that they actually did effort to go through the things and try to find out what they didn't know!
Joe, you can use CTRL+Z to undo things in build mode, like the wall paint etc
PLUS you can you the EYEDROP in the upper menu to copy an item so you don't have to try to find it when you already have one of it placed!

Hey Joe and Dianne, loving the series so far and become highly obsessed! Just thought I'd give you a few tips and some preferences I've seen in the comments! Love you both btw!!
Johnny Zest is also a Landgraab, he lives in oasis springs in one of the cabin looking houses. He moved out when he was a teen, he looks a lot like Malcom Landgraab so you'll know who he is when you see him!
House plants, pictures and other decorations make the sims moodlets positive! The more you have the happier your sims will be!
The kids need to do their homework to prevent their performance going down. You can find their homework in their inventory. Click on it and it should give you the option to do it! If you ever lose the book (I have many times don't worry) then click on a bookshelf and purchase a book!
This is just a preference but there would be more room in the kids bedroom if you put the beds each side of the window! You'll have space for toys and other things for your kids to play with!
You can become friends and even MARRY the Grim reaper! Also, if someone dies and the Grim reaper comes along you can ask him to revive the dead sim! He might do it if you were friends with that sim or he may not!
When you couldn't put the 2 counters together in the kitchen, you just had one of the counters in the wrong place. If you don't want it to do that automatically then you can click Auto-counter off. This will allow you to select a type of counter you want to place down.
You should get a dog! Your family looks like it would have a Husky or Boxer! Make sure the animals traits are suitable for the environment you live in!

The kids room definitely needs toys and lights, and you also accidentally put an extra counter in your island that you can sell
I would also suggest moving the fridge and oven slightly to the right so you can fit more windows in
And please add roofs to the extra rooms and make all the outside walls the same! You can add pillars by clicking on the foundations section x

This series is basically getting me through quarantine and tip if you want to place columns under the house for need to go to build mode with the section which displays the physical aspects of the house, there is an option for foundation which changes what the house is rose on love this series never fails to make me laugh xx

Omfg the counter in the corner I can't 😭 it was on a half tile so the auto counters wouldn't work
Edit: omg no kids kind of need kids beds (the anti goblin bed) or else there'll be a monster under there. They aren't teens yet so they need things like a dollhouse and more toys. Theyre around the age of eight or nine I would guess or maybe even seven so they NEED toys to have fun. Don't give them teen or adult furniture give them childish stuff.
Edit 2: I'm referring to the anti goblin children's bed. I've heard things about night lights which I'll hold my hands up I didn't know because I never use lights I just use the saucers. The kids can sleep in the other beds but if there isn't a night light then there will be a monster and trust me the first time it happened to me it gave me a jump scare😂
Kids can sleep in any bed. You just need to put in the nightlight and you're fine.

What I recommend you do:
.Change the outside walls
.Get a less scary house plant in your room
.Put the kids beds on either side of the window in their room to make more space
.Get rid of the concrete under the new rooms you built
.Put a glass door to get to the outdoor porch area in front of the sea
.Last but not least, bulldoze the lot and download a new house from the gallery. You can do so much better :)

I love this series so much. Honestly is the highlight of my day.
Now I don't play the sims 4 (I play sims 3) but is there any wallpaper? I feel it really brightens up a house.
Also there should be a way in editing the town where you can change the household name to Suggwell. Also I'm pretty sure that Joe's and Diannes surname is Buswell so you might need to go to Edit Sim to make their surnames match the kids.

Loving the series! Here’s an idea of how to get your dream home:
You could get people to make your various different homes and upload them to the gallery. You could say what type of style/vibe you’re going for, and say how many rooms, certain aspects etc that you want, you could also give a budget. Then get people to upload them to the gallery under a hashtag you choose and you can sort through and decide on the perfect one! It would also be a fun way to get people watching involved.
Like this so they can see it!!

Few suggestions;
-lights for the kids room- they also need toys. Maybe have their beds either side of the window?
-remember to paint the outside walls of the house and build a roof!
-maybe build a second floor or basement for a creative room/study for Joes social media career, with an easel etc. Maybe a gym? And third bedroom for Chris!
-sliding doors would look good onto the terrace, could add a hot tub? Need a ladder to get into the sea.

i think get your bedroom and ensuite upstairs (so its still a small upstairs) then you can add an office and gym down stairs in the area where your room was and please put the girls bed on either side of the window HAHAH!!! loving the series guys!! also would be cool to add a swing set out the back for the kids to look at the coral when you get up to that!!
i would recommend putting some pictures on the wall, and using ‘clutter’ around the house. also, it’s probably a good idea to put a desk with a computer in the living room. finally, i would also recommend using the different colour swatches, because those can make ALL the difference!

When you were designing the kids room it was stressing me out. The chest of drawers would of been better in between both beds and a bedside table either side. Still looks nice now but that would of made sense at that time

Tips:
Buy a few toys for the kids. If you go to the kids section and press on the violin then there will be things like an activity table and a science station for them to play with
Buy a ‘Coolala, the defender wall light’ and put it in the kids room to stop them from having nightmares and waking up in the middle of the night
Use the big sliding doors from island living to make the family room brighter and it also looks really nice :)
Buy some sun loungers so you can get a tan and some pool floats to put in the ocean. You can also get a boat or a jet ski
The kids need to do their homework for school. You can find this in their inventory. Also to make them get friends you wait until they go to school, press on them and select ‘make friends’. This means they will sometimes bring them home to have a play date!

Hi I have a few ideas but I am soooo I love with this new house omggg
1) add a mirror above the dresser in the main bedroom so Dianne can look at herself and realism how beautiful she is
2) you should make a gym room and a games room for the kids so you can learn more skills
3) create another room and get some wall windows and a sofa facing them so it can be like a chill out area with an amazing view which I think all houses need everyone in a while
4) please bring back the penguin tv everyone loved it and so did you so why not!

These never fail to trigger me with your 'newness' to the game, since I've been playing for 5 years xD but I wait for every single episode and they're getting me through quarantine haha
I know same I have every single sims game from 1 to 4 and all my hours added together is 700,450hrs and I have extreme OCD and it makes me very stressed but I still continue to watch because the are like one of the only gaming channels that don't post Fortnite and shooting games😂

Quick tip :)....
If u move the kitchen cabinets directly onto the squares on the floor (yours are slightly to the side) the windows would be in the right place. The space next to the fridge would be neater and the cabinets would automatically have a corner piece as you place them (no cheats needed).

Tips
For cornered counters, just place the counters normally and they will form a corner.
Add lights to the kids bedrooms!
You can move in other households to the houses near you so your area isn’t so isolated.
You can also build across the sea.
PLEASE CHANGE THE COLOUR OF THE STOVE ITS RANK
Edit: also, try and get the unbreakable items such as a fridge, so you don’t have to replace them if they break.
All in all, LOVING THE SERIES GUYS! Xx

In future for moving, yoy can evict people from their households and you xan live there instead xx
when Joe and dianne realize they don't have the same income as the langrabbs so they will probably lose most of their money soon
little tip for the kitchen.. on the wall with the fridge you need do delete one cabinet and move everything else one square to the left. that way the corner piece will form automaticly and you`ll have space to put the bin next to the fridge ;)
Love this episode so much! Here are my ideas for the house:
- Floor to ceiling windows along the wall with a massive wall TV in the middle of them.
- Glass door leading to the outside decking.
- Outside chairs on the decking with the penguin TV on a table so you can watch it outside.
- Have a big sofa facing the TV and then chairs at the side.
- Have a small office area near the door for Joe to have his social media stuff.
- Add some stuff onto the countertops & tables to make the house look more homely e.g. appliances in the kitchen.
- Buy some toddler stuff (potty, high chair, etc) for Chris and keep it in your inventory so you have it prepared for when he grows up.
- Put some curtains on the windows in the bedrooms to give some more privacy.
Hope this gives you some ideas that you can use and I can’t wait to see the finished house!

I feel like when Chris grows up they should get rid of one of the bathrooms. I think they should get rid of the one beside the kids room and put a second door on their one. That way they could put a door between the kids room so they can play. The girls also need a lot more toys and things to keep their brains busy

for the kitchen cabinets - if you move them right against the wall at a corner and the other one perpendicular to it on the other wall, they will make corner cabinets automatically. that was also the problem with the fridge not touching the wall. if you move all of the cabinets/kitchen appliances one to the left, they will match up to make a corner cabinet and the fridge will touch the wall.

Loved this ep! For the living room- you can make your own L-Shaped couch with two normal sofas. Add as many ‘activities and skills’ items as you can (maybe easel against the full wall of windows) as this will give you money making opportunities and fun storylines!

HI, SOME TIPS LIKE SO THEY CAN SEE :)
When in floors and walls in build mode you can click the different squares for different types/textures as you always seem to just stay on the first one that comes open :)
Also at some times it may be easier to have all the walls up in build mode so you can use the top bar at the middle of the screen to delete walls change colours of things. The little droplet thing allows you to click on something existing in the house including walls etc and it will take you to the item :)
With the kitchen counters when you click the colour options there is two little clogs if you click them and turn auto off you can see all the types of counters. This will also sort out your breakfast bar form flickering/going into each other as you need to select the different counters that fit
To get the stilts for the house you need to go into the build bit where you get walls floors etc.... and click foundation which is the bottom base/section around the house (under styled rooms) you can also find trims etc to make things more homely.
Whilst using the move cheat you can use alt to place things specifically and by pressing 9 and 0 you can move things up or down :)
The kids and adults may also needs some more entertainment like a dolls house toy box computer etc :)
The subtle saucer light (grey circle one) adds a lot of light to the rooms but you can shrink it down so it’s not as bulky also in live mode you can set colour and intensity by clicking on the lights

Love this series so much!! I’ve played sims since I was about 10 with my sister and it brings back so many memories. Here’s some time with building: • To get the wooden stilts instead of the concrete go on to build mode and click on foundations (it’s the border part underneath the styled rooms) or if easier use the eye drop tool at the top of the screen where the day or night option is •For the balcony/Decking area, get a door so the sims can go out there but also can make this area fun by putting a ladder into the sea or jet ski or boat next to it so the sims drive them around, or you could just put are barbecue out there for outdoor cooking • You might want to change the roof because it’s rusty and old, just a Morden flat roof might go better with your modern themed house • For the kids getting a normal desk is easier for them to do their homework •You also might wanted to paint the outside of the house and you can get really nice panel wood that will look nice with the stilts
